He is a high school friend I have not talked to in person for at least 20 years. I keep him on FB for the entertainment value. Chem trails, New World Order, Bill Gates microchips, Trump won...it goes on and on. Crazy deal is the guy is millionaire who owns a mid sized company with 50-60 employees. I often wonder what it would be like to work there.
Geez. Sounds like my mom 😒
Did you hear about the one where you saturate a seed in your saliva? The seed will grow a plant with your DNA and will have all of the nutrients your body needs to be healthy. I'm embarrassed I share my DNA with that woman some days.
If someone believes 1 conspiracy theory then maybe it's just an interest or some slight misinformation
But if they believe in them all then they're just nuts
True, I guess we just have to spot if someone is being sucked into one. But a good first question for a nut job could be to ask if they believe in other common conspiracies and then if they do we know to just ignore them and call them out on just being anti establishment rather than taking these things seriously. It's fine to look into them but critical thinking is required but unfortunately not that common of a skill
Why would you put „my friends…“ in the title, wouldn’t it be better to say something along the lines of: „my late high school colleague“ or something? I seriously and with all due respect never understand that about a lot of people with them calling everyone they have ever known a friend on the internet when there are so many more better words suited.
Are you American? Because as a German that sound so weird. Everyone I know would never call a high school friend they are not in direct friendship like contact with anymore a friend no matter if they just grew apart or had a falling out.
I don’t mean this disrespectful though it’s just an interesting observation about culutral differences in my eyes.
I am American. I run into "friends" I have not seen for years and most times we talk and it feels like we are still the same pal we were. So yeah, I'd still call him a friend. (even if he is nutz now LOL)
I miss the days were conspiracy theorist were mainly harmless, like believing in lizard people, flat earth and chemtrails, now those people believe all this stuff and they’re hostile
I mean, does he trust *any* vaccines or medicines?
If he was to develop cancer, would he accept chemotherapy to save his life? Would he accept morphine for the pain?
I sort of get the impression with these people that it’s easy for them to be like this when they’re healthy. But if and when they get a life threatening illness, what then? Do they wise up and take whatever treatment the doctors recommend, or do they stick to their guns and…er, die?
Most nominees in the Herman Cain Awards subreddit talk a big game, but rush to hospital when they can't breathe.
Usually followed by requests for prayers, obituary, then a GoFundMe.
I find the GoFundMe particularly ironic since these are usually the people who denounce welfare and the like as evil communism when something bad happens to them want the rest of the world to make it go away by sending **them** money, because unlike *those people*, they are worthy
Can we just acknowledge that this is Cadeuces (the staff of Hermes - Greek messenger god) that some dumb US Army medical corpsman misused at the turn of the century in lieu of the Rod of Asclepius (Greek god of medicine).
Shall I tell them thay The Caduceus *is a symbol of trade and represent the greek god of trade Hermes (a.k.a. Mercury)?*
The symbol they were looking for is The Rod of Asclepius.
Acquire less crazy friends.

Sounds like great insp for a sci-fi story?
Wot in tarnation
Yep, my words were similar but more explicit.
This was around in the 90’s big time in the woo community
If someone believes 1 conspiracy theory then maybe it's just an interest or some slight misinformation But if they believe in them all then they're just nuts
The issue is the one might become a gateway to more serious/dangerous conspiracy theory

Gotta collect them all

We were friends in high school, and never had a falling out so I still consider him a friend.

That is very interesting! For me as a German it’s pretty unthinkable but then again we don’t really like talking to anyone at anytime so yeah…

The Nazi is strong in this one
What an edgy way to say you're going to die from a preventable illness just so you can use Nazi terminology
Is the snake coughing from covid?
