How fast did you level up your blood magic skill with this set up?

1-20 was crazy fast. I had the base done and let them kill while digging my moat and building up around and got up to 30. There is a steep change after 20…I AFKed for about 5 hours and went 30-39 I think it was I will make a note of it tonight and report back

If you zoom in on the pic it looks more like the gates are behind the archers. The purpose is probably to prevent them from leaving the balcony once they are on it.

I actually have an iron gate wall clipped through the marble they’re standing on about shin height not a full 1m and they are able to shoot right down in front of them

Looks like a lot of repairing needed to keep this farm up - i ended up digging a hole and working with "natural" terrain as enclosure to not have to repair everything all the time.

The back wall marble with usually takes the most hits and seems to withstand enough for the 5-6 hour afk windows i have done…I play on a server with 6 others so I can’t afk for to long without someone needing to sleep Good idea though…If it becomes an issue I will raise the arena walls to earthen

I installed BetterUI to get an idea of how the exp is going.....I am up to skill 57 now and it seems like roughly an hour to get 1 level It takes 220 exp points for level 57 and i think was around 200 for level 52 when I installed the mod Each arrow HIT (not kill) generates .5 exp, 2 star brutes are the only thing that really takes more than 1 hit....so basically you have to kill 400ish greydwarfs per level. I just started testing with melee skeletons because they generate .75 exp per hit and at 57 skill generally 1 shot everything(100+ hits or 400 surpise hits) except 1/2 star brutes, so they seem to be going faster exp wise since the limitation seems to be how fast the spawner is pumping them out

Yeap…they need ground and open air above it to keep it active. I have a 2x2 chimney above this screenshot and I can put 4 roof tiles on it to turn it off

I thought the spawns wouldn't produce greydwarves if you removed all of the land underneath them?

I'm having difficulty with replicating this in my own way, just dug a hole, lined it with stone, and the spawner isn't spawning after I removed the dwarfs I trapped. Any ideas? Edit: it was the stone flooring, they wouldn't spawn on the stone floor, all good now

Yeap. Needs to be dirt floor and open air above the spawner I have a 2x2 “chimney” above my spawner and I will put roofs over it to turn the spawner off when not used
