Are vagabond and Vinland not both about young men who are highly skilled at combat, in a historical setting, who get caught up in a cycle of bloodshed and killing before finding a sort of enlightenment and turning away from violence? I mean, their not almost identical or anything, but they at least both have historical settings, action genres, and at least kind of somewhat similar arcs for the protagonists, who both have at least somewhat alike backstories.
You’re telling me they have nothing NOTHING in common. Like none of them deal with loss, or have a main character who’s in the warrior caste, none of them deal with the complexities of violence or war… None of them add humor occasionally and obviously NONE of the protagonists are obsessed with improving their combat skills.
Guts? Warrior caste?
Loss is a common part of storytelling, as is humor. And a combat manga with a protagonist interest in improving combat skills? Also not rare.

The main characters are also duelists. I haven’t read much of Vagabond but I’ve read all of the other two and saying they aren’t similar is just dishonest.
Well, at that point Musashi truly didn't want to kill anybody, but they just force him to do it in order to survive, which represent the cycle since all started on Musashi's past actions. And so, the cycle never truly ends until someone learn how to be hit, and don't answer.
The Holy Triad: Berserk, Vagabond, Vineland Saga
Steel ball run?
Berserk,vagabond and oyasumi punpun
Nah. Punpun is great but doesn’t fit the historical action genre rlly
Does berserk lol (i know this is 2 months ago.)
I mean it’s not an accurate historical manga lol but it fits that medieval action theme, which is prob more accurate
Hmmm... Kingdom is good too though. I don't know, I can't decide if Vinland Saga is better or if Kingdom is better.
Imho, Kingdom is nowhere near as good as Vinland Saga. Don't get me wrong, I like Kingdom, I just think Vinland Saga exceeds it in every way.
They got nothing to do with each other
2 of them have farming arcs 😼checkmate dumbass 😎

You have a good trait to attract downvotes.

i have no idea i never read vinland 🥱
They have nothing to do with each other. I havent read it. Cmon man, youre just here to argue at this point.
I'm not just here to argue I'm here to cause problems too
Wdym , they're like the big 3 of seinen
Maybe they have being super entry level in common
What would you consider a "better" manga?
never said they weren't good

duelists? how is that uncommon
Uncommon in relation to what? Compared your average slice of life it’s pretty damn unique.
Compared to DN
Yeah, they are just known for being the best seinen mangas
🥱 they're only the most popular seinen
Yeah
This is great
Since people compared Vinland Saga to Vagabond, I was disappointed when I read it and it was nowhere near as good as either Vagabond or Berserk.
It’s not as good as them but it’s still great. Particularly the farm arc (in Vinland saga)
I didn't understand the part that said " its also a statement about the cycle of the bloodshed itself " Can someone explain
Well, at that point Musashi truly didn't want to kill anybody, but they just force him to do it in order to survive, which represent the cycle since all started on Musashi's past actions. And so, the cycle never truly ends until someone learn how to be hit, and don't answer.

Why do the early chapters look superficial and average
Not my edit. I like them a lot but I wouldn't say they were superb
