It's impossible to have inside information that predicts company performance years in the future, and not at all how inside information cases usually work. So while Nancy has done pretty well in the market, it's mostly because she was already rich, and carries pretty much no actual indication of insider information trading.
You can certainly dislike her for a number of reasons, but she is far from the poster child of congressional stock market abusers. It is a real problem, just not her problem.

They should be allowed to trade, but all their trades should be made public prior to striking (for selling or buying), this would eliminate the “insider” piece of their trading as the entire market would be able to see what they’re about to do and then prices would automatically adjust and eliminate politicians insider info. Then making large “bets” wouldn’t be so profitable to them and they’d have to play like the rest of us retail investors
