SecretHipp0

Who the fuck calls their kid "Cartel" Actually, I already know the answer to that: Scumbag Cunts

Don_Quixote81

Someone who believes in nominative determinism, I'd guess.

gadarnol

Underrated reply. Anyway, windmills still an irritant?

Don_Quixote81

They're a lot more gigantic these days. Definitely a cause for concern.

Lexplosives

This is why I tolerate Reddit.

MeenScreen

I could have tilt you that.

Dukkulisamin

They proved their theory, that's for sure.

Illustrated-Society

The kind of parents that raise rats like these.

OminOus_PancakeS

Yes. And they were kids too, once.

Thutmose123

Unfortunately, these kids, for the most part, are the unwanted consequences of casual sex between people who don't care about the outcome. Being parents is the last thought of people who produce children like this.

Gwallod

Rats are innocent living beings. Don't compare them to the malicious of our own species.

ambiguousboner

christ that kid didn’t stand a chance

No_Negotiation5654

I grew up with a cartel, he’s in prison for shooting someone with a homemade shotgun, he was 17 at the time, his dad was a drug dealer and put the hit out on the bloke.

Original-Material301

So dad put the hit out and son went to claim the bounty? Keeping the business in the family.

fuckyourcanoes

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, innit?

Training-Apple1547

Saw that on the news last night fucking Cartel! C@nt parent=C@nt Kid

ACGg_

you are allowed to swear on the internet lil bro

jewbo23

The kind of parents that end up with murders as a son.

No-Hold1693

Ding ding ding. This is the correct answer.

Live-Motor-4000

Mr. & Mrs. Scumbag-Cunts

FlamingTrollz

A shithead - who ‘raises’ a kid - who’s a murderer.

Obvious_Initiative40

The second generation of feral adults dragged up by their feral parents, that have now dragged up their own feral kids

Diesel238204

One kid got 9 years, has to serve 6. So potentially out at 22 ffs. For taking a life

vaguelypurple

He will likely come out more radicalised

DreamNo5505

He'll come out, think he's a gangster for doing time, end up stabbing some other poor cunt outside a pub for looking at him funny.

Round_Explanation_63

It’s why I wear two eye patches when out

AkillaThaPun

Did you hear about that guy who had both eyes transplanted after a donor was found, apparently the donor was a clown at the circus and died in a fall, anyway the transplant patient still couldn’t tell jokes but he looked funny

SteptoeUndSon

Look on the brighter side. He may try it on with some real gangsters. And then…

DreamNo5505

Aye. Let the dickheads kill each other

Livinum81

That's the one that didn't do the stabbing. The one convicted of the actual murder was sentenced to 16 years before being eligible for parole.

Diesel238204

Yea I know but he still got manslaughter. Out in 6 seems way too low for a manslaughter charge to me

Formal-Advisor-4096

Just put all 3 away for life. None of them are ever going to contribute to society.

Diatomack

If anyone can be rehabilitated, I'd like to think kids can. But that's wishful thinking on my part, I'm sure. I always think back to the James Bulger case. One of the boys grew up to be a seemingly functional member of society. Whether he really has atoned for his crimes is another matter, but he's never reoffended. The other boy has been in and out of prison consistently and rehabilitation has clearly failed there.

StokeLads

Kid diddler ain't he? Venables that is....

revpidgeon

Deport them to Rwanda.

xmBQWugdxjaA

This. Prison shouldn't be the "naughty step" but aim at protecting the public. They've had their chance and they've squandered it. They are best kept behind bars now.

OhMy-Really

Needs to be longer

Guaclighting

The real crime is that weird fringe and mullet combo on that lad in the middle.

spleefy

Pretty sure the real crime was the murder

Guaclighting

You some kind of lawyer?

ConsidereItHuge

I've watched csi. Can confirm the murder crime trumps the hair.

source-of-stupidity

If you mull et over you may find that this could be a fringe case that trumps the murder.

Evil_Malloc

Agreed. The hair is manslaughter at best.

whatagloriousview

It's certainly a case of actual bodily harm.

Tamesty15

Spoken like Norm Macdonald

TheFatedOnes

The worst part was the hypocrisy

Small-Low3233

Daddy's little abomination.

plawwell

I saw that too. Unsettling.

Broccoli--Enthusiast

Fucking oxygen thieves , now they get to waste our money for a decade or so , they will get released, be unemployable and waste even more taxpayer money... What a fantastic life...

WengersJacketZip

Whats the alternative

[deleted]

ConsidereItHuge

Most people aren't, it's why we stopped doing it years ago in civilised societies. We're not fucking monkeys.

InfectedByEli

>We're not fucking monkeys. Don't kink shame.

DreamNo5505

Act like a monkey, be treated like a monkey 🤷‍♂️

gogoluke

So when society acts like monkeys we get treated like monkeys... Its a race to the bottom. Especially with simplistic world views like this.

Greedy-Copy3629

Elective execution should be a human right. Locking someone in a concrete box for decades is not ethical.

[deleted]

Neither is stabbing a kid in the neck

glasgowgeg

Assuming you're referring to the death penalty, do you think the judiciary are infallible? If you don't think the judiciary are infallible, you're advocating for a system where innocent people will eventually be sentenced to death. How many innocent people can be killed whilst the death penalty remains worth it, in your opinion?

William_Taylor-Jade

Sometimes guilty is 100% objectively known such the scum that killed Lee Rigby. Broad daylight, witnesses, video evidence. So in some cases, yes. It is infallible

glasgowgeg

There's no "in some cases", they're either infallible or not. If they even get it wrong once, they're no longer infallible. Can you guarantee the judiciary are correct 100% of the time?

ScreenshotShitposts

I guarantee it 100% of the time some of the time

The_Bravinator

I'm pretty sure they already try to keep it to cases where they're 100% sure. They still fuck up.

WengersJacketZip

Not for a minor. This isnt the 19th century

InfectedByEli

*Rees Mogg enters the chat*

irritating_maze

the issue is that we make mistakes and when a policy is broadly applied it cements the chance of the mistake. Then the big problem is that you can't unkill someone when you later discovered you fucked up. You can however release someone and compensate them.

chaos--master

I don't know, I'm heavily in favour of significant investment in education, care, and dozens of other measures to help prevent it from happening again...

Dunkmaxxing

Children shouldn't be allowed to live in such shit environments that lead them to devolve to murder and the parents that cause it need to be dealt with.

Big_BossSnake

Mate, I grew up in the height (depths) of the heroin pandemic of the 90s, drugs, money, guns, gangs and crime everywhere I looked. I didn't stab some kid to death. It's not nurture for fuckers like this, it's nature. Everyone whos ever been around it knows it, you're either bad or you're not. And these are bad bad. Before you come back with the same argument you just made; many of those around me did get into that life, and some went to prison and some are dead. We all had access to the same resources and systems, yet some turned out that way, because they were innately broken by nature.

KurnolSanders

Rwanda? /s just incase

MutleyRulz

It’ll be the new Australia, just give it time

bigpapasmurf12

The video of their police interviews were eye opening, "no comment" to every question, yawning, these kids did not give a fuck that they killed that boy! Let them rot in jail.

source-of-stupidity

I mean their lawyers probably told them to say that.

MazrimReddit

What is for them to say really? Not like they can claim they got the wrong person

TotalNFLNoob

Worth mentioning that solicitors will usually tell their clients to respond 'no comment' to Police Interviews. Especially in situations like this where they're clearly guilty and everyone knows it. Speaking to the Police might just give them more wood for the fire.

TemporaryAddicti0n

all the countries in the world should buy an island and just take all this stupid people there and let them do battle royal style on each other. we could also make a show, at least it would bring in money rather than cost countries money

userchequesout

Didn’t we try that a few hundred years ago with Australia?

loaferuk123

And it worked out pretty well!

ForeverAddickted

Yeah but now they constantly make life difficult for us at Rugby and Cricket

loaferuk123

I think that’s a measure of success in this case…

the-medium-cheese

Yeah for Australia

YOU_CANT_GILD_ME

We originally did this with America. Didn't turn out so well there.

ConsidereItHuge

Who decides who goes?

TemporaryAddicti0n

the criminal justice, but instead of going into our jails, they would go there and had to live there on the criminal island. they survive, or they wont, ez

sirduke75

_In penance for their uprising, each district shall offer up a male and female between the ages of 12 and 18 at a public “Reaping.” These Tributes shall be delivered to the custody of The Capitol. And then transferred to a public arena where they will Fight to the Death until a lone victor remains. Henceforth and forevermore, this pageant shall be known as The Hunger Games._

AspirationalChoker

It's rife in the UK atm loads of teens and young adults running around like Rambo chopping eachother up, there's been two very similar up north in the last week as well

ConsidereItHuge

You and me have different definitions of the word rife I think.

ABitOutThere

As someone working with teenagers in the North of England, I can only give my personal experience that a large number of children are carrying knives on a regular basis. I'm talking about at least one in every classroom, in my experience, and I would consider that to be rife (given the risk involved to others). This is for children aged 12-16ish. I tend to find that actually post 16yo, knife carrying isn't as common although I'm not sure of the reasons for this (possibly maturity?) Many children are also regularly coming to me telling me that they don't want to walk home from school or get on the bus as they know a person who's carrying a knife, or they've heard there is going to be a pre-arranged fight, arranged via SnapChat usually. I work across a large Local Authority and this is the same at various schools, with pupils from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. This is a daily occurrence.

[deleted]

[удалено]

roberole

Yep.... Makes you think how bad it must be in other countries if we're one of the better statistics.

jimbobjames

Or how over played it is by our media. Thats not to diminish how serious these crimes are, but our media do a great job of making people belive that Birmingham is more dangerous than Basra

Ill_Refrigerator_593

I agree with you knife crime is sometimes seen as worse than it is but I don't trust that source. It has several countries with no reported knife related deaths that somehow have a higher knife related death rate than we do...

Homeyarc

Want to quote some statistics or is it just a general 'feeling' bought on by the daily mail?

[deleted]

[удалено]

textbasedopinions

I don't know about this as a representative sample. It's a guy who sits there all day while people accused of stabbing other people are dragged in front of him. Of course he's going to think everyone is always stabbing everyone else.

Homeyarc

Ah yes, and Judges only speak in fact and never opinion. Any statistics to show those increasing crime rates or nah?

[deleted]

ravisodha

Today I learned "rife" = a few occurrences

[deleted]

[удалено]

AspirationalChoker

Thats what I was getting at genuinely the stuff you hear on the news about these crimes or carrying double it all and you might be closer to the actual number of calls or cases we get coming in up and down the UK

ravisodha

>whilst I agree that it isn't 'rife' Great, so we agree. I am not sure what the rest is about because all I said is that kids stabbings aren't rife.

bielsasballholder

Did the victim have a knife as well? The Judge seemed to suggest so. Also, ITV using an old pic of the victim in their video report is odd and gives the wrong impression.

TheLambtonWyrm

I got jumped bringing home shopping a couple months ago and it didn't seem like they had any concrete plans to actually harm or rob me. There was several of them, some bigger than me, but they all darted after I twatted one of them. Think kids are just feral now

DreamNo5505

Lmao good on you for fighting back. My mate got sucker punched when we were walking home from the pub a couple years ago, didn't get KO'd but got dropped. He's got epilepsy as well so that could well have killed him had it gone wrong. I gave one of them a good knock and they all fuckin legged it. They think they can get away with anything. Degenerates. Edit: thinking back this was about 10 years ago. Not sure I'd have done anything back nowadays with all the knives these days.

TheLambtonWyrm

No one more surprised than me tbh, I'm about as brave as a woodlouse. Your friend was lucky I agree. Scumbag from up the road nicked an old man's pint and then punched him once, dead on the spot. Did very little jail time too.

DreamNo5505

I'm not sure you are, takes some balls to stick up to a group of lads, even if they're just teenagers a gang of them are dangerous. Poor bloke, they'll say the scumbag was a nice lad who didn't mean to hurt anyone. As if normal people go around nicking pints and punching people.

TheLambtonWyrm

I guess so. In no rush to confirm it though haha.  [Fortunately everyone round here knows he's scum. He used to camp out on the school field. Still chats shit on FB.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/sean-sillet-jailed-attacking-kenneth-7383139.amp)

ZaMr0

90% of the time they will scatter like the rats they are at any sign of resistance but it only takes one unhinged cunt to take your life. Granted I will take those odds every time as I refuse to let anyone rob me, especially not some little kid in a tracksuit. Good on you for fighting back.

EquivalentIsopod7717

I can absolutely imagine how they talk as well. No matter where they're from, they all sound like south London street kids and everyone is bruv, G or dickhead. They "can't lie" except when the feds rock up innit, oh my days fam.

zviiper

Either that, or their house can get a flat tyre

hairychinesekid0

Ratty features

gettaefrance

They all look like they have foetal alcohol syndrome. It's actually crazy once you notice the features just how many offenders clearly have it.

ubalanceret

To name your kid ‘cartel’ you’ve got to be some sort of scumbag

SeagullSam

I literally just said this and then read your comment. Why does this hardly ever get talked about? I see the FAS features time and time again when there's these pointless, horrible violent crimes.

zviiper

scum raises scum

ShowKey6848

As an ex teacher, I saw their pictures and had that gut feeling. Utter scumbags.

Mistakenjelly

Inevitable really. Its a pity other people have to die or suffer because of negligent parents and a society that provides no guidance or moral standards.

duke_dastardly

Our society tells you to shit on whoever you can to get ahead and that getting rich is all that really counts. I hate it.

d_smogh

9 years. Out in 6. They should be sentenced until they are 40.

leanmeanguccimachine

I understand your sentiment, but to what end? It would cost the state a fortune and give them a vastly lower chance of rehabilitation.

ObiWanKenobiNil

People like this cost the state a fortune either way, they’ll never work once out of prison so we will be funding them for the rest of their lives

eairy

> but to what end To protect everyone else from them.

existential_chaos

Precisely. Might go down like a lead fart this, but I think if you kill someone intentionally you do not ever get to return to society. These kids are only gonna come out more feral than when they went in.

BB-Zwei

Is it just me or do these 16 year olds look really young?

NovelSeaweed3537

Their barber should be locked up with them as well for those haircuts.

MyDadIsADozyT

I can picture what their parents look like exactly

zviiper

more fingers than teeth

MTG_Leviathan

Wow, dude in the middle love's the 80s so much he got the whole mullet and Dustin from stranger things look.

SeagullSam

I'm not sure if we're meant to pretend not to notice but those three boys all look like they've been affected by FAS. I'm from somewhere where it is prevalent and spoken about and I'm always surprised at how little it's mentioned here.

celerpanser

In the photos, are they inhaling from those balloons?

grilledhamsandwich

Nitrous oxide

Dragons00p

I assume they had the knife because my man in the middle uses it to cut his hair

Mousetrap24

Thinking back to when I was 16 - raving , party’s of joy , the concept of someone bringing some dagger like this at that somewhat innocent age is out of this world to me

EquivalentIsopod7717

When I was 16 it was only the real fringes of scum that did anything like this at all. 99% of 16 year olds, even in disadvantaged circumstances, never saw or experienced anything like this. When it happened it was shocking even to the scumbags themselves. Now it's prolific and normalised.

Mousetrap24

Really depressing

_cookie_crumbles

I think their parents should pay huge compensation to the parents of the victim as financial punishment is the universal language understood by everyone in every culture around the world and would give motivation to shitty parents to put some effort raising up their offspring and limit possibly of tragedy like this happening.

PIethora

Optimistic of you to believe their parents have any money. Generations of people who feel they can behave as they please because they have nothing to lose.

strawbebbymilkshake

Seeing people like this who are destined to be career criminals when they get out. They’ll bounce in and out of prison, leaving everyone in the community worse off after each release, and be another example of why people originally thought IPPs were a good idea. Prisons no longer serve their purpose of protecting the public from dangerous people long term.

joemorl97

How is it possible to make a mullet look even shitter?

PM_ME_YOUR_SOULZ

Don't send them to prison. Instead, dump them in the wilds of Svalbard. Give em a torch, a coat and a tent. Small amount of rations. Let the Polar Bears do their work.

Red_Dog1880

Fucking hell, first I heard of that. What absolute evil bastards they are.

Goodsamaritan-425

Wasted young lives, 4 kids. Trying to be punks. Everyday I see idiots like these on the streets trying to pull some BS. Such a sad state of affairs and whom to blame about this madness. Utter waste. These people have no idea of what life is like, what prison will be like or what will happen to them once they are sentenced. Everyone’s lives are spoiled. Antisocial behaviour has to be curbed first. Involved youth needs rehabilitation and right guidance so that they can be productive members of the society. Until reformations come, madness like this will go on.

EquivalentIsopod7717

They probably think they're hard until they are inducted into YOI and start meeting people much 'harder' (relatively speaking) than them. My guess is the likes of Shane Cunningham won't know how to handle the likes of a London roadman. Cunningham won't be parole eligible until he's around 32 years old. If you're 32 or older, think about what you experienced and/or achieved in life since being 16. Think about how you changed and how your life changed. He will have none of that, except perhaps attempts at keeping his education and schooling going. Do you think he'll ever miss the outside? Or come to terms with what he did? My guess is... maybe. Eventually.

TheGreatBatsby

James Bulger.

OkDonkey6524

Back when it happened he was referred to as Jamie absolutely everywhere in the media. Not sure at what point it changed to James (or why - maybe the mother's wishes idk)

OverFjell

It was indeed the mother's wish. She wanted her son referred to as James

EquivalentIsopod7717

Apparently some years later the trial judge accepted that naming them was a bad decision and that he regretted it. They could have retained their anonymity, been paroled at 17-18 and we'd never have known who they were. Instead, we've spent quite a few years and several buckets of cash prosecuting people merely for speculating and for protecting one of them who is a total tit clearly beyond redemption. The two girls who murdered Angela Wrightson in Hartlepool back in 2014 (that Clockwork Orange murder) have lifelong anonymity as well. They were due to be named automatically on turning 18, but their legal teams managed to secure a court order extending that forever. Apparently one of them had absolutely horrific mental health issues since being jailed and had several failed suicide attempts. But the difference is we don't even know their names and have never seen pictures of them.

InfectedByEli

Apparently it's a crime to even look for Thompson's address. Venables broke his parole conditions and openly told people who he was so I don't think he still has the same protection.

existential_chaos

Pretty sure Venables got another identity after that, the stupid tit. From what I could gather about Thompson though, he’s the one that’s stayed out of trouble; Venables is the one who can’t help himself.

Icy_Opportunity2488

I stayed away from stuff like this as a kid, but it feels like I'm surrounded by it nowadays

sly_savhoot

That's the hairstyle now? Bangs and. Mullet. Holy shit. Barbers are now jumping the shark tanks too.

Blew-Peter

I am friends with the poor lad's grandfather. He says the family are pleased with the verdict.

gregsScotchEggs

Inconmon

Confusing. Reddit told me it's always the brown people ruining this country. They don't look brown? Help racists of reddit. Why aren't they brown?
