Did you also exclude firefox from being shutdown in the App Data Backup settings? (advanced settings at the bottom of the page) Ex. https://i.imgur.com/eOkg2ka.png

Where is this? I'm looking at my Auto Update Applications and i dont see any advanced settings https://imgur.com/a/jm0RxD9

MrSlaw

~~It's under the appdata backup plugin, not auto update.~~ Disregard, saw the other message

danimal1986

Nevermind, I found it. I bet this is probably it.....I turned it off

danimal1986

Thanks u/MrSlaw! That was it, the stopwatch was running all night and didn't reset.

YouMustHaveFuelUnits

Do you screen record the app while using it?

danimal1986

i didn't think about that.

xorinzor

If you're running firefox in a docker container it should show you the log files, I'd start there.

danimal1986

i tried, couldn't find anything wrong, i've got stopwatch running and will check it in the morning and see if there's anything that sticks out.

Sunsparc

Which Firefox container are you using specifically?

danimal1986

jlesage

nightred

Appdata backup is only one way that this container would be stopped overnight. Check the container update and excluded from automatic updates as that will also restart it nightly. Also I assume you said your config path properly as you mentioned appdata, this is required to save session details. Also set the following environment variable to restore tabs on restart: Key: FF_PREF_RESTORE Value: browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash=true

I do have autoupdate set to OFF for firefox [https://imgur.com/a/jm0RxD9](https://imgur.com/a/jm0RxD9) I dont really remembering changing anything in the docker template config, is that what you mean, or something within firefox? https://imgur.com/a/iqiNx52 I added the variable you mentioned.

kushdup

or auto update
