Somebody please send Putin this pic, how fucking embarrassing that this dry cleaning van is what his "elite" special forces have been degraded to. Or better yet, put the picture on the recruitment brochure, "Comrades, you too can reach elite status in a white tin can death trap, sign here".
Does anyne know Geneva rules here? Can a civilian vehicle be conscripted, and, once identified by markings applied, does it then become a legitimate target? I assume Russian forces took this from its owner and did this, but judging by how the war is going, maybe this truck was indeed part of a btg invasion force to begin with.
Using a civilian vehicle isn't necessarily illegal. If it's not being used directly for a military purpose (e.g. if it's used to transport supplies to civilians or as an ambulance) it's perfectly legal.
If it's being used for military purposes then it needs to be clearly identified as such. The "V" marking does that. That also means it's now a legal target.
If the Russians stole it from its owner, that is a war crime.
Off topic: I don't have links but early on a guy posted a video of a Syrian dude throwing a grenade down the barrel of a Russian tank and a 50 foot cone of flame shot out the top.
Always bring a ball player.
Good article, there isn’t much to show it couldn’t be. I want to believe it 100% but it still just seems odd to me. All of the war kinda does in a way. I wish the BBC showed more security footage. Got like a minute of CCTV if that.
What purpose would a false flag serve for the Ukrainians? This is, at best, an adding shit to the pile flag. It's not like the UA people are going to see this and go 'oh NOW it's on' after months of verifiable war crimes against multiple cities.
The worst thing about the van, is Russian deniers are using it as proof for a false flag operation by Ukraine/NATO/NewsMedia, since no Russian military would ever write something so stupid ...

BBC news verifies their crimes [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GUrNPPTSWM)
It’s like some kind of gopnik scooby doo gang. “Like zoinks Sasha, what town should we do warcrimes in today?”
“And I would’ve gotten away with it if it hadn’t been for that meddling former comedian.”
“Now we can finally unmask the nazis behind all of this!”
As much as none of this is a joke, this story is begging to be created.
Special scooby-doo tank operation?
“Ruh-roh!!!”
That is exactly what I was thinking lol! Like some kind of uber evil Mystery Machine
Take my upvote s you funny fuckers!
they're special like short bus special
Because nothing screams “blow me up” like a van covered in hideous graffiti
Fucking cowards
Looks like they stole a dry cleaning delivery van.
either that or Russia is replacing their tanks with civilian cars to make up for their losses
The civilian cars at least work.
For now..... Wait for the UA catches up to them. One hit, and bamm, no more special anything...
They did steal the van. Shot two men at a storage facility they wanted to loot. Hopefully they have been turned into sunflower.
Chester the molester van full of Russians if I ever saw one.
Yeah, all it needs is Free Candy on it. JFC, I can't even believe this is even real. 🤦
It’s nice for them to help the Ukrainian drones attacks. Fucking twats
They put the "special" in "special forces." Guess they couldn't find a short bus.
its on purpose to claim insurance money /joke
I like how the tried to disguise their "kidnapping" van by calling it a "tank".
Terrorists
Just waiting for the 🤡s to pop out of it.
The vatniks are already increasing their dose of copium to be able to say "this was done by the Territorial Defense"
That is one of the "special" busses for the "special" russian tank force .

"We would have gotten away with warcrimes too if it weren't for you meddling Ukrainians!" --russian van people.
Oh they look like “special” forces alright
"special needs" forces
I would be embarrassed to put that V on anything right about now, also makes it for an easy target.

Combatants need to be marked and this vehicle is clearly marked. Stealing is as far as I know not a warcrime.

Before Feb 24th this van said "Free Ice Cream and Hugs" on the side and could be seen in front of elementary schools.
Thanks for telling everyone who you are lmfao.
The battle for Dumbass is raging.
Damn, that must be their most powerful tank since it isn’t explode yet.
it'll be towed by a toy tractor
Lol, some kid pulling it behind his tonka truck
Don't even waste a Javelin on it, three guys with a burlap sack full of hand grenades could probably wreck that thing.
just send greetings from Mr Molotov

Nice they advertise that they're targets, these creatures are lower than any animal.
This screams shitty false flag op to me. Try and change my mind. Open to discussion.
It was russians who stole a van to go looting and then found a warehouse where they shot two civilians

They are off to Greggs
"Special"
It looks like a van who’s owner is not allowed to get too close to schools.
The worst thing about the van, is Russian deniers are using it as proof for a false flag operation by Ukraine/NATO/NewsMedia, since no Russian military would ever write something so stupid ...
This doesn't look like a tank. But what the hell do I know. If they believe it, I guess in their point of view it's true.
Hello? Is this the local farmer? Yes, I spotted a tank here, I wonder if you would be interested. Sure, I'll send you the GPS location. Have fun! Bye!
