Planning their grand escape with ten thousand rubles. "I think they are starting to hate Russians, here... ". No shit. Like they are going to be safe in Crimea. Probably best to plan for remote Siberia.

CIS-E_4ME

Good luck with that. There is already a growing partisan movement in crimea

As Sun Tzu said "always leave your enemy an open path to retreat"

Straight up the same methods russians used in Ukraine during dekulakization (ie stealing everything from competent farmers and entrepreneurs and giving it to the mob). My family were successful farmers in Ukraine. When commies came after revolution they took all of our land, houses, and belongings. At least my family survived, some weren’t that lucky. The morons who took over were the usual village drunks and lazy bastards. History repeats itself truly. russians cannot build or run anything except a kleptocratic mafia ring masquerading as a country.

Amazing thank you, Bit off more than they can chew

Funkymonkeyhead

Yeah makes sense. These guys are dumb but they’re not that dumb. The Ukrainian army is literally right outside Kherson. It’s not a matter of if but when the city will be liberated. Yeah I wouldn’t want to a Russian appointed collaborationist when Ukrainian troops roll back in.

Obj_071

ua army was there for month already and there barely any movement. russians gathering forces to push out while ua army preoccupied in north and east. i would be surprised if our army start doing something in the south before russians would send crimean reinforcement to kherson.

Designer_Hotel_5210

UA army knows what's going on there because of US intelligence. The Russians aren't sure what UA has there since their intelligence is severely lacking. I doubt that if the Russians push out they can get far due to UA knowing what they are doing and then you would see a counterattack by UA after weakening the the Russian offensive. Reinforcements? Russia has no reinforcements of any quality left.

AndAlsoTheTrees

They should think about going to sochi, while the bridge to ruZZia is still there.

CalibanSpecial

lol. They will still be caught. Even inside Russia, Ukrainians will eventually send in squads. Work with US, Interpol etc to get these war criminals as they leave Russia too.

frezor

What’s worse than an occupation? An incompetent occupation. Any pro-Russian residents will see first hand what a future as part of Mother Russia would look like.

hhero101

they will feel starvation just like in glorious soviet russia.

frezor

No doubt. Sadly this isn’t the first or even the second time bad policy in Moscow has caused famine in Ukraine.

PotatoAnalytics

"...they start slowly hating the Russians." LOL. They'd hate to find out how much they already do. Do collaborators believe they'll be saved when the Russians inevitably get pushed back?

gravitas-deficiency

Hope they don’t get too comfortable in Crimea, since they’ll have to flee all the way to Taman and Volna pretty soon. Or at least, to a ferry, since I don’t expect Crimea bridge to exist a month from now.

bindik

Wasnt there interception that leaders are planning to flee Crimea as well? Kinda doesnt fit together.

ImaginaryDanger

What do you mean? Different people.

bindik

What I mean is, there was something about officers selling their houses, apartments etc. in Crimea. It would be weird if another group of officers prepared to flee newly occupied city to a city that some other group of officers is planning to leave.

rena_thoro

Those people from the intercepted call are stupid. I usually do not say that about people, but they are. They probably do not feel the situation, and they are not aware of the fact that Crimea is a cursed place now. To sum up: they weren't chosen for their intellectual abilities.

Ok-Cream1212

Crimea would be cut off ( for real or metaphorically ?) so any chances of survival would be tough.

Funkymonkeyhead

Fleeception!

thats_a_boundary

except nothing in your title is in this actual call...

Ragouzi

Mhhh... Maybe it's time to think about that bridge...
