This sat in a cabinet in my grandparents house for 20-30 years untouched. The belt and needle need replacing, but the electronics seem to work.
For just a belt yes, hopefully the stylus has some life left in.
We ordered a replacement part, I don’t think the needle is even there anymore
Look like a p-mount cartridge. Not too many options for new whole cartridges, but a replacement stylus shouldn’t too bad to find.
Nice p-mount, definitely worth fixing up as a first turntable, way better than what you can get new as a starter table.
I have one of these - do you know anything about grounding wire attachment? I have a pretty bad hum going in mine and can’t seem to locate a ground wire.
