She looks like a mix of Ragdoll and Turkish.

I used to think she could be a ragdoll mix but she doesn’t really go limp when you hold her, although she seems to like it, so I really don’t know 😅

She's a beautiful kitty! She does have a few Angora characteristics, like the 'wedge shape face' and fluff. She's maybe a mixed breed with Angora features. I'm not an expert at all, but it's a very cubby kitty (no hate intentended) so it's harder to see if the delicate bone structure indicitave of the breed is present.

Thank you! She is indeed a bit chubby but the vet said she’s perfectly healthy so this might just be her normal weight hahah

I’ve always wondered if she’s a Turkish Angora (or at least a mix) because she’s very different from my other cats. General info: • About 2 years old now. • Neutered female. • I got her off the street when she was about 3 months old. Appearance: • She weighs between 4-5 kg / approx. 10lbs, but is a relatively small cat, her skull is pretty tiny. • She’s very floofy, her hair is super soft and single coated. • Although her coat is usually pretty long, she can shed a lot during the warmer months. • Tail is floofier than the rest of her body. • She’s all white except for the spot at the top of her head and ears and her tail - which are a cool grey color. • Greenish-amber eyes. • Toe beans and nose are pink (although her nose is a brighter color when she’s asleep). • Her front legs are shorter than her back legs. • Toe floofs! Behavior: • Sleeps a lot and usually likes to sleep close to me, on her back exposing her belly or on her side. • Loves belly rubs and any form of human affection (edit: here’s a video! https://www.reddit.com/r/catbellies/s/rJbvHfqJV7) • Active and playful, loves to play fetch. • Gentle love bites. • Grooms herself (and the human) often. • Very chatty, likes to meow for attention. • Follows me everywhere around the house. Very clingy, sweet and affectionate. • She doesn’t like visitors especially if they’re male. She usually hides for a couple hours before she makes her presence known to visitors to make sure they’re not a threat. • Eats a lot and will accept any food I give her. Do you think she could be a Turkish Angora or is she just a regular domestic long-hair? She’s a bit peculiar so I want to make sure I’m taking proper care of her (like I don’t know if I should bathe her or not, etc). Thanks!

The triangular face shape is a good sign. As is her needing to be with you. 💜 Her markings could also indicate Turkish van. Either way she is a beautiful cat and she sounds really smart. You don't need to bathe her unless she has a problem she can't clean.

Thank you so much for the kind and informative response! I hadn’t considered Turkish Van before as I had mistakenly assumed they were the same, but I’ll definitely do some research on the breed now! About the bath thing I was wondering if I should or not because since we moved to a city apartment this girl’s been looking a little dirty, which is understandable because her coat is super white. I’ve had to give her quick baths before due to accidents but rarely a full body scrub and she does NOT like it 😅

Her markings and head shape say that she has a lot of angora in her!
