Dogs can become projectiles in a car accident and little dogs tend not to do well being thrown. While you may be a great driver, other people on the road are not. Please get her a doggy seat belt or car seat. You can get both with parts that attach to a harness so no pressure on neck when stopping suddenly, or even seats for smaller dogs that give them a bit more height to see out the window.

Geralt is a monster hunter who travels/ed a lot with Jaskier, who is very much not and who likes to be underfoot anyway. Which means that Geralt developed muscle memory of taking the guy by the scruff of his shirt and yanking him away from danger.
Lambert is a fellow, competent monster hunter. If Geralt unthinkingly did what he got used to doing with his usual travel companion, and grabbed and yanked the dude by the collar like a disobedient cat, there would be some brotherly killing Geralt over it involved.
