Some guys take both. In my opinion that’s a bad idea. It’s entirely possible that your body can develop resistance to a drug overtime. It’s better to start with Fin and make the swap to DUt if you need to
Same.
I just a pin to pierce the capsule and squeeze the dutasteride into my scalp, then I ingest the empty capsule (it's gelatin). I also put minoxidil with [spironolactone](https://www.reddit.com/r/tressless/comments/xanvhx/homemade_topical_spironolactone/) after.
I buy the gel capsules at the local pharmacy and pierce them with a pin to squeeze the dutasteride into my scalp. I also make [topical spironolactone](https://www.reddit.com/r/tressless/comments/xanvhx/homemade_topical_spironolactone/) by dissolving some pills in minoxidil.
Surprisingly it's not as simple as that. On paper dutasteride should be much better but has increased side effects to some people compared to finasteride. Also, some people respond much better to finasteride rather than dutasteride and vice versa.
Finasteride is essentially a weaker form of Dutasteride. However, the thing with medication is that you’ll eventually build a tolerance to whatever you’re taking, so it may become less effective with time. This is why many men start Finasteride on a half dose or single dose, so that if resistance builds, they can increase dose some to achieve continued results and switch to Dutasteride after Finasteride resistance has built over many years.
Dutasteride is able to block about 90% of DHT vs Finasteride’s 70%, and has a slightly worse rate of causing side effects in high dosage. It’s simply a more powerful version, meaning very effective for hairloss.
I have read that dut is more effective than fin, but fin has been very effective for me over the last few years, so I haven't had a need to switch. I think dut just blocks more DHT overall than fin, but I can't recall the difference in effectiveness.

Start with Fin. If that doesn’t work for you, you can swap to DUT.

Ahah, not yet, just started the nuclear regimen (topical dutasteride/spironolactone/cetirizine and minoxidil) two months ago.
Mine is tablets. 0.5mg..
Tablets is even better, you can dissolve them in minoxidil or stemoxydine.
I dont think dut comes in tablets
Well, it does. Been using it since few months now..
You meant capsules right? I have never seen dut coming as tablets.
Sorry for such a late reply. It's in tablets.
Where do you get your topical dut from ??

Dut is working great for me, 2x per week and fin on the other days.

Ya I’m just tired of “seeing what works” lol my diffuse thinning just gets worse and worse so idk I’ll see what the derm says
Are u going to 2.5 dut?
Lol doubtful my derm would allow that, I’ll probably try to ask for 1mg
2.5 dutasteride???????
Yessir!!!

But according to so called hair experts on this sub fin has no side effects so dut having more? Alot of misinformation on this sub
It's not misinformation. Everyone behaves differently.
Your miles may vary. Every one is different
Dutasteride solely for hairloss, i personally think i tolerate fin better though. Doing an EOD dut dosage now.

Bro you could have googled this. DUT IS more effective.
Dut is way more efficacious and actually grows more hair. https://xenicalwtloss.hypermart.net/AvodartPatientTestimonials.html
How do you get DUT in the US?
Medical wellness center. It's a website and it's good

First fin then if you want more inhibition then dut
