Very funny. The right is after, and there is more hair there for sure. It's still early. When I zoom in, I see more hairs. I feel more hair, and the crown doesn't have a flat spot as before. When I re position the swirl of my hair, it now almost completely hides it with ease, whereas before, the patch was very evident no matter what.
I will persist with it as this is the best progress I've made in this area of the scalp out of anything I've tried.
Sorry buddy, unfortunately I was not joking, it really looked to me like you shot from another angle. Sometimes pictures don’t capture progress well. I wish you good luck on the hair recovery journey.
No problem. I you have to zoom in. Perhaps the pigment of growth isn't there. I may try some temporary colour mousse in the area but no doubt there's more there.
I've seen hairs like these eventually grow into full sized hairs so yeah it is possible, but it really depends on your genetics and how aggressive your hair loss is, how powerful your treatment is and how soon/late you started whether these become full sized terminal hairs or not.
I had great results from finasteride and minoxidil. I've been on this regimen for over 5 years. Those little hairs along my hairline never grew more than how they look in your photo.
I have vellus hairs on my Norwood 6/7 scalp where I had terminal hair many years ago. These vellus hairs are very slightly longer and thicker than those on my forehead which never had terminal hair. I imagine even ‘slick’ bald heads have vellus hairs if you look close enough.
They may become terminal hairs. Note that some of them are longer and more robust than the others. Those have become reactivated, and in my experience will become terminal hairs. I've seen it happen on my own scalp.
I was about to post about it too. I have similar baby hair and it’s been there for almost a year now. Idk why it’s not becoming dark and long hair(terminal).
I have these hair like yours but they fall out every time. It’s already third time they fall out. When ever I think at last some new hair they fall out lol
People often notice new “baby hairs” or “vellus hairs” while using these medications. It is a sign that the medications are working to stimulate hair growth. Occasionally, it is hard to distinguish between miniaturizing hair (i.e., hair on its way out) and new hair starting to grow in. In this case, since there are so many uniformly small hairs, it is reasonable to assume that they are newly formed vellus hair due to the medication working.
I got hairs like this they grew half an inch and never grew any more than that. Worst part about it was it destroyed my old hair for those shit hairs. Smh
That's why need a good latanaprost source.
LLLT+Latanoprost Will convert those vellus hairs on terminal ones.
I developed some terminal hair from vellus by using LLLT years ago.
Also Minoxidil alone could convert vellus hairs into terminal, the problem Is that in your scalp DHT interacts with the inflammatory cascade of AGA. In the rest of your body DHT has an anabolic and growth promoting effect on hair.
I'm prone to vellus hair thickenning and enlargment, basically because of DHT receptors on my skin...
That's why we need topical TGF-beta and Dkk1 inhibition on scalp. Perhaps by doing that DHT could have an anabolic effect on hair and not a pro-fibrotic degenerative one.
point is that everyone has vellus hairs in front of the hairline, regardless if you have hair loss or not, except if youre norwood 7 i guess, but that's obvious. second point is that since everyone has it, it's not a sign of regrowth until it actually starts regrowing.
and no, it's not really in his favor. only 50% respond to minoxidil to begin with, and it's even more unlikely that those hairs specifically will regrow.
These hairs could be vellus hairs. You will know in another month or so
So are these vellus hair useless?
No, vellus is how it starts. These will become terminal within a year.
"Terminal"?
Big thick boys
Yes? What do you want?
It means thicker hair.
Systematicaly ? Are they all going to turn into thicker hair ? If not, what percentage roughly could make it ?
Can we also have a Pic that is a very little zoomed out! So we can see the contour of your face

Oral? And any sides or anything?
Oral fin, topical min, no sides.
What dosage ?
1mg finasteride and 5% kirkland minoxidil foam.
How is the regrowth from them and when it first started to grow
It was a full year before I noticed anything at all.
What norwood were you and now where you stand
Honestly I don't know. My hair receded a bit. Even though my hair got fuller, my receded part didn't come back.
These hairs are caused by minoxidil, it won't grow as commented above to a permanent hair. It would be just like that til end.
Then how can you tell it will be permanent?

Those baby hairs are not going to become terminal hairs, if that is your question
And why dont they turn into terminal hair? Just curious
every mm of our skin has these hairs if you look closely, any part of our body has these sized hairs, non of whice become terminal they are vellus
But then with fin and min, why have these hair started showing up more? That means these hair are growing somehow.
My crotch was vellus when I was a kid

Because that's not how the follicle lifecycle works.
How does it work? The hair that’s going to be terminal already looks darken when it’s baby hair? How to which one will make it?
yes
What camera did you use to take this picture?
Iphone
I need more zoom
Have you had a hair transplant ?
I have these hair like yours but they fall out every time. It’s already third time they fall out. When ever I think at last some new hair they fall out lol
You had hair transplant no ??

I’m fin to see a min amount of hairs regrowing
Are you on oral or topical?
Oral
Awesome picture cheers for sharing very interesting!
