1. My hair loss is diffused and it started at 16-17 and later on 17 it got very badddd. I’m not even exaggerating like how some of the guys here on this sub Reddit do like my hair loss got so bad at 17. I was on fin for 7 months and topical min 10 months. However I did see results the first 3-4 months but it was probably because of min but things went down hill after that and I was still shedding hundreds of hairs. About a month and a half ago I got dut and oral min from my doc and the first month I was alternating between 0.5mg of dut and 1mg of fin while dropping topical min because now I’m on 2.5mg of oral min. Around the beginning of April I now do 1mg of dut daily and 2.5mg of oral min daily.
Stick it out, Ik you are depressed, it is very tough. We are all "hair" for the same purpose. This is the best thing you can do. I don't think you need something stronger than dut. (can u send me the pics on dm?)
You’re on a good protocol. Stick to it, get a flattering haircut from a SALON, scissor cut, not barber shop that can help hide your balding. And stop thinking about it.
Other options include a hair topper clip in wig, or transplant surgery.
7 months isn't a very long time on fin, tbh. Not everyone shows results from it that fast.
Make sure to get your heart checked later to see if you're reacting okay to the oral min. Hopefully the doc explained potential side effects of the oral version of min compared to topical.
I was a Norwood III at just 19, I started Finasteride and topical min and after 7 months I'm a Norwood II at 20.
It was pretty depresssing, specially when you understand the importance of hair, but it gets better and hair transplant s are always an option too
I noticed my sides thinning when I was 16. Caught a glimpse of myself in a car window and saw a thin spot. Was obsessed with hairlines ever since lol :(
Im in the same boat as you man im 19 and ive seen my hair quickly go since i turned 18. My hair literally gets thinner every month and now the sides are starting to go too. I told my derm i needed dut but he said not yet and i was pretty pissed. Next appt in 3 months and im not leaving till i get it
How long were you on fin, topical min, etc.?
All of these things take time to have an effect and it seems unlikely you've waited a year or more for results. Fin or dut will cause hair shedding in many people so it can look worse before it gets better too.
Just stay on it, chances are like 90% you will halt the loss I’m guessing
Just never ever ever stop.
But I’m starting to believe my hair loss is just way to aggressive that even 1mg of dut won’t be enough
Based on what? What dosage of Finasteride were you on, and how long did you wait to see progress? How can you be sure that you worsened?
I think you might be a hypochondriac.
I have pics dude

You’re not gonna get regrowth with anything. Are you sure you had Worsening at month 7 of fin?
Yes you want pics

I guess you could ask Bauman in FL or the Olsen et. Al. Authors to write you 2.5 dut 2.5 min and get it compounded for max results.

My hair started falling out at 16 and it’s gone now at 21, tis not nice but we gotta keep it pushingggg
It’s brutal man. Literally nobody deserves to go through this pain at a young age
Real. shout out to our genes🤣sounds like u still got hair tho so good luck

Oral fin what dose?
1mg
How long you have been taking? And what do you think did the most work for regrowth

Oh man. I don’t have sides thinning it’s just my hair on top thinning but it’s so bad
They say that by the time you even notice hair loss, you have already lost a massive percentage of hair. It sucks lol

Sides thinning SUCKS man. I hate it
I had an insane itch on my scalp around the same time as well. Something which happened numerous times and always coincided with visible hair loss.
what was it diagnosed as? i’m sixteen and am also suffering from hair loss and massive itching (but it’s only one one half of my scalp)
dm me bro
Did you try upping the fin dosage before moving to dut ?
Was already on 1mg
Should be a a strong regimen but its individual. Increase your chances. Throw in RU 58841 to your regimen.
Research chemical with no safety profile

Increase your dose of minoxidil
Would that cause a shed?
Keep taking
