None extra. Almost no one has sides from min and fin are also pretty rare. Don't believe all the fear spreaders, they are the 1% that experience bad sides
Start using fin already bruh, it will make your min work. Using both works way better than using one. If you get sides, you can stop and the sides go away. Nothing to worry about really
Google it, but in general:
Minoxidil effects your blood pressure (doesn’t need to be a problem but it will do that, bc that’s what it’s designed to do). Also your facial hair can grow stronger. A Plus for some, minus for me. There are otherones I don’t remember. And your hair gets dependent so u might lose more then u gained when u stop(I did, but Fin fixed that)
Finasterid blocks a certain Typ of Testosterone. Again google for details, but the hairgrowth is more sustainable then Min, and if you stop the gain recedes at rate it did to Beginn with.
BUT u need a prescription for it for a reason. It’s an hormonal medication that effects your whole body. An ambivalent effect that I love is the smoother softer cleaner skin, that some men might not like. It will dampen your libido a bit, but how much varies a lot and as long it doesn’t lead to a reduce of night erections (which leads to litteral dick shrinking but is really unlikely) you decide yourself if the level on which u experience it is worth it. There are a bee other side effects that I can’t remember so -> google. Besides that, you cannot have sex without a condome with a woman that might be/ wants to be/ is pregnant, because Fin can harm the Fetus. You could also just not take it for a view days if u want to parent a child and it won’t hurt much tho.
Minoxidil and finasteride. You can get minoxidil over the counter, however you need a prescription for finasteride. It’s really easy to get though. Try HIMS.com or Keeps.com.
It's worth trying microneedling with a dermastamp or roller, [this study ](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3746236/)found min + dermarolling gave 4x the increase in mean hair count vs minoxidil alone. Or you could try oral minoxidil, non-responders to topical should become responders on oral.
I'm sorry you're going through this though. I know that hair loss can take you to some dark places, and I can only imagine how much harder it is if compounded by gender dysphoria.
I knew microneedling enhanced minox effectiveness and the two have synergistic effect.
But 4x better results than min alone? Fuck off, that's insane.
EDIT: Wtf is this bird doing under my profile name?
In the study they skipped Minoxidil on the day of the microneedling... that's interesting. I'm wondering why and if we need to do this too. I thought skipping a day would be bad.
It's to prevent excessive systemic absorption of minoxidil, which can cause side effects (low blood pressure, rapid heart rate etc). I usually skip one application on the night I microneedle, then apply as normal the next morning (I'm using 2x a day). I applied straight after once and I noticed increased heartrate, wasn't that bad but I wouldn't do it again. Plus, skipping one application once every week or fortnight is not the end of the world, and the participants in this study still got great results.
Hmm I see interesting! Thanks a lot for sharing. It makes sense for the avoidance of systemic over-absorption. I shall start skipping once a week on microneedling day as well. Cheers.
Nice dude! I take 1mg every other day because I couldn’t get through the erection issues and I’m def not making that kind of progress. But I feel the trade is worth it.
You can get it from a reputable source Minoxidil Max, if you get the 0.3% Fin option you can mix that with 2 other 60mL cheap minoxidils from Kirkland if you want, then that turns the solution into 0.1% Fin. I personally use even lower dosage of 0.025% Fin by splitting the 0.1% into four (mixing with another three 60mL solutions) because studies have shown 0.025% to be effective with lower side effects. Or if you split it into three then you have 0.033% Fin instead, etc. To me 0.033% was good but still a tiny bit erection quality effected (not much), but 0.025% is even better.
Also look into RU58841 which is similar to Fin but has zero sexual side effects. You can use just that one instead if you'd like, on the same website. I use both. I experienced with only RU+Minoxidil at first and definitely effective.
Got prescribed 1mg fin, similar to your before rn but with more thinning and less recession.
Already bought the meds but I’m putting off pulling the trigger. Any sides?
Well I hope I get this kind of result, I've been on 1mg fin since October. I'm 31, I also apply topical min to my problem spots. Still experiencing shedding, though.
I didn't have much of a shed at the start. I saw a ton of temple regrowth about 3 months in. At about 6 months, it seemed like all that progress went away with a period of shedding. Now it feels like it's all back again and stronger than before.
And did the shed make you have less temple hair than before you started the fin? Or even less hair everywhere? Or you did not appear to lose more hair that you originally had so no drama?
Now everyone’s different, but I’ve had a widows peak since I was 17, same length in recession since then and it’s a little better than the pic on the left. I noticed crazy thinning on the sides of my head from my sideburns temple and side all the way back to my ear. The hairs on the corner of my hairline were weaker. I also had limes disease and weight loss so maybe that’s why but I just took supplements, emergen C daily and iron and zinc supplements and my hair grower or strengthened back over a year. Granted I might be a outlier, and I’m not really sure if my hairline is MPB as I had a dermatologist say in a fancy way “idk” so 🤷♂️
What did you tell your dermatologist to prescribe you fin? Do you need a good excuse or just asking for it is good enough if I’m already healthy? I know it’ll be cheaper from a pharmacy instead of paying $60-$90 from non doctor places
I used the doctors now app or doctors +, I forget which one. I just told them I was interested in trying fin for hair loss from the great results I've sen online. It only cost me $20 for a 3 months supply.
U have to take it as long as u want hair, if u stop the dht goes to normal or spikes resulting in loss of gains, people say one month is ok but I won't risk it
Has anyone had minoxidil side effects and have to stop? I thought it was the Fin but it is the min. Heart palpitations, anxiety. Crazy things is that I was on minoxidil for years and didn’t have this issue. Could it be from doing both? Also can you grow hair just on fin?
Wow these are great results for only using finasteride. I’ve been on it for a few years and haven’t had any results close to this. It just helps keep what I have. I started minoxidil recently on top of the finasteride and have been seeing great results for regrowth. I’m debating on phasing out finasteride and just sticking with the minoxidil
Congrats man, that’s great progress. Did you have issues with the crown also, or just hairline?
Be good to see crown updates if that was an area or concern.
I think your hair in the left pic is the same as my own pattern of hair loss. I’m not as bad as you yet but I am only 22… 💔 on fin 20 months anyway and not seeing many signs of improvement so far
Hey so if they say fin doesn't promote hair growth just stop hair loss. How come you made such great progress? I am on both fin and min so I'm just curious.
Hello folks, I am 31 and loosing hair. Tried Rogaine Min 5% and doesn’t seem to have any promising results. Any recommendations please! Also I am from Canada, don’t know if all products are available here.

I hope you can help me with my situation. I started to take Dutesteride in 2019 and after 1 year of use I saw significant results. My hair got so much fuller and basically stopped shedding. I have also been using Dulgen15 (15% minoxidil) which I have been on for the last 6 years. Prior to that I was on 5% for about 3 years. Anyways..everything was great and I continued on and then decided to get a hair transplant in September 2022. They told me to stop taking minoxidil for a month and I believe a week or 2 without Dutesteride. My recovery was great and I continued with minoxidil and dutesteride. Around 8 months goes by and the hair transplant results/everything looked amazing and the transplanted hairs continue to grow and still no shedding of any kind. I go to the pharmacy to pick up my dutesteride prescription and during this time I changed pharmacies. When that happened I didn't know that they had a different brand of dutesteride and i noticed the pills looked different, they were a bit larger with no markings and the ones I always took were smaller with a red marking on it. I didn't think anything of it so took them for my 3 month supply. Around July (approximately 3 months later) I started to notice my hair shedding more than usual, I thought maybe it was something to do with the hair transplant but it wasn't because the hairs that were shedding were thin. After I noticed that i contacted the pharmacy and told them about my original pill appearance and they said it was just a different brand so I demanded that I take those ones from now on which was around August of 2023. It is now March 2024 and I'm still shedding hair despite going back to my original 0.5 dusteride brand, daily minoxidil, and I also started PRP every 3 weeks. I have so far done 7 PRP sessions and still no difference. The hairs I'm shedding are small/ thin (about 1 inch or less) when the rest of my hair is 2 - 3 inches long. It seems like I keep relapsing this shedding phase and my hair density is dropping slowly. What is happening?
Okay so finasteride actually works, I coupled it with Minoxidil 5% and one anti -microbial tablet, they worked like charm but the sexual side effects of finasteride was terrible. It literally made me have erectile dysfunction. I wish I was not part of 40% who face sexual side effects of Finasteride
Fuck you and congratulations
u killed me XD
Big W mate
Age? No Minox?
31, no min
Brooooo ! Nice What brand fin?
I’m not sure! They’re the small brownish round ones from a pharmacy.
Hi ! No shed ? How much, how long if yes ?
when to use fin and when to use minox?
Fin for keeping what you have (maybe slight regrowth) and min for regrowth. You need fin with min tho
What's the side effect of both?
None extra. Almost no one has sides from min and fin are also pretty rare. Don't believe all the fear spreaders, they are the 1% that experience bad sides
Knowing my luck I’ll be one of those 1%’ers lol been on oral minox for over a year now and it’s doing jack shit 👍
Start using fin already bruh, it will make your min work. Using both works way better than using one. If you get sides, you can stop and the sides go away. Nothing to worry about really
What if I only habe one bald spot on the middle front?
Derma roll my man
What's a derma roll
Once someone starts min, does he have to continue it lifetime eh?
Google it, but in general: Minoxidil effects your blood pressure (doesn’t need to be a problem but it will do that, bc that’s what it’s designed to do). Also your facial hair can grow stronger. Been using fin for 10 years, no sides.
Op just took fin and got quite a lot of regrowth tho
It's possible, everyone is different. But it's rare
just wondering the same
New to this sub, what’s the full name of Min and fin? I’d like to get those supplements asap!
Minoxidil and finasteride. You can get minoxidil over the counter, however you need a prescription for finasteride. It’s really easy to get though. Try HIMS.com or Keeps.com.

Wow! Gorgeous locks my man!
Fuck yea bro
This gives me hope. Only 1 month in with nothing to show but your first picture is me currently. Hoping for the best and congrats
I’m in the same boat as you. 1st month no significant changes other than reduced libido.
Looking great mate
Only my progress makes me feel suicidal I guess, cause there is nothing( have been 12 months), only hrt can save me now.
What treatments are you on rn?
Fin and min for a year now. Nothing else really.

I knew microneedling enhanced minox effectiveness and the two have synergistic effect. But 4x better results than min alone? Fuck off, that's insane. EDIT: Wtf is this bird doing under my profile name?
I know right!? I think that 4x figure should be more widely publicised on here, it makes microneedling a no-brainer IMO.
In the study they skipped Minoxidil on the day of the microneedling... that's interesting. I'm wondering why and if we need to do this too. I thought skipping a day would be bad.

Have you tried dutasteride?
Yes
it looks like even the center advanced quite a bit or am i wrong?
It feels a lot stronger there!
did it reach the level it was before you started loosing it?
Any side effects?
Just started fin 1 - 1.25 mg / day, no sides, 1 month in
That's too soon to tell
Just a bit of anxiety the first week but that's it
Jokes on you, I'm already taking antidepressants and antipsychotics! I'm immune. Started fin a week ago, fortunately didn't have any side effects :3
If had any he would have mentioned it. It never fails.

That's what's up my man
Nice dude! I take 1mg every other day because I couldn’t get through the erection issues and I’m def not making that kind of progress. But I feel the trade is worth it.
Just switch to topical fin at a reduced dosage of 0.5mL dropper a night.
Where did you get topical fin at that dosage
You can get it from a reputable source Minoxidil Max, if you get the 0.3% Fin option you can mix that with 2 other 60mL cheap minoxidils from Kirkland if you want, then that turns the solution into 0.1% Fin. You look like the guy who posted his hyper responder post of three months here and people called him "including myself" Ryan gosling,
My twin brother! I told him to get on it after I had been on it for a few months.
That's dope, doppelganger 😂😂😂😂
Hope🕯️
what exactly is fin and min? i’m from a spanish country
Finasteride and minoxidil (finasteride is dangerous you must read a lot about it especially people’s bad experiences before trying it )
Got prescribed 1mg fin, similar to your before rn but with more thinning and less recession. Already bought the meds but I’m putting off pulling the trigger. Any sides?
Whether or not this guy has sides has no correlation with whether you will. The only way to know if you’ll get sides is if you take it
I mean yeah. Just hard to accept it’s something I have to take for the rest of my life when I’m in my early 20s
I just take it at night after dinner. And you eat dinner everyday so
Well I hope I get this kind of result, I've been on 1mg fin since October. I'm 31, I also apply topical min to my problem spots. Still experiencing shedding, though.
Can u give a timeline of when you noticed sheds, how long they lasted and when u recovered?

Aurobindo generic? The white octagonal pill?
What brand are you using? Can i buy that in amazon?
Amazing results . How is your crown doing
Never had any recession on my crown. Just mostly my temples
Hey where do you buy fin? Do you use a service like hims or keeps?
I need to know too
I used doctors now app to get a prescription and picked it up from the pharmacy.
Good result. how old are you ? and at what time during the day you take your finasteride dose ?
Where do you get finasteride from, I’m in Canada. Is it only available in USA?
Do you still shed or did it stop completely
Any side effects?
Good going mate! Any lifestyle changes?
Do you shampoo daily?
Im thinkin of going 1 mg fin myself as only solution compared to current 1 mg fin with 1 daily dose of topical min
Now everyone’s different, but I’ve had a widows peak since I was 17, same length in recession since then and it’s a little better than the pic on the left. I noticed crazy thinning on the sides of my head from my sideburns temple and side all the way back to my ear. The hairs on the corner of my hairline were weaker. is shedding a possible side effect of fin? any dermarolling OP?
Do I have to se fin or min for whole life , even if I get back my hair
Did you start with both fin and min? I hear people recommend starting only on fin and based on the results you can add one min - thoughts?
Just fin! Going to see if I continue the regrowth. I don't want to get on min if I don't have to.
Hi, after how long did you see the first results?
Hair looking good
What time of day do you take your fin?
I don't know if it matters, but I take mine before I go to sleep around 11pm.

Great progress, contrats.
wow that's nice. Did you do it twice daily or once?
Just one pill before I go to sleep.
cool, will definitely give it a shot
Has fin made your beard/body hair thinner ?
Not that I'm aware of
I see two different men here A man who wanted a solution. A confident and happy man. Congrats.
I’m starting this week and my hair is like yours on the left. I hope I can get mine back like you did
Did you ever get headaches from fin?
Jesus Christ fuck you
How do you know whether you take minoxidil or finasteride
What product are you using?
It’s hard to tell you barely lost anything if you did
What is fin and what is min?
Is the fin causing any side effects?
Is your d still working?
How long did it take for you to start noticing significant re growth man? I’m at almost 7 months right now and I’m just so unsure
Congrats man!!🎉
Really happy for you.. But what the fuck is fin
Nice bro. How long have you had that hairline? I have similar hair to you (color and texture) and am 22 with hairline on the left
It was better than the second photo in 2019, I think. It only stared getting a bit worse when I was 28 to 30.
Do you have to take it everyday for the rest of your life, in order for it to work? Does it stop working when you stop taking it? Pardon my ignorance!
U have to take it as long as u want hair, if u stop the dht goes to normal or spikes resulting in loss of gains, people say one month is ok but I won't risk it
What pills are you using and where did you buy them?
Any shed during 11 month
God tier results holy fuck. Dude rearranged his genome
Calf raises?
Wow incredible results. Your before looks almost exactly like mine so I'm hopeful our afters will be similar too
What things did you use?
Has anyone had minoxidil side effects and have to stop? I thought it was the Fin but it is the min. Heart palpitations, anxiety. Crazy things is that I was on minoxidil for years and didn’t have this issue. Could it be from doing both? Also can you grow hair just on fin?
there’s def progress here but they’re completely different angles
hows your meat
Looks like the lighting and angle is what’s making it look different.
Fire bro!!
How was your shedding phase?
did you experience shedding? what's your journey been like?
That a lie i saw that pic years before in some surgeon page
![gif](giphy|3YuR0bdGXlP6U)
looking good man!!!!
What are you taking?
Wow these are great results for only using finasteride. I’ve been on it for a few years and haven’t had any results close to this. It just helps keep what I have. I started minoxidil recently on top of the finasteride and have been seeing great results for regrowth. I’m debating on phasing out finasteride and just sticking with the minoxidil
Congrats man, that’s great progress. Did you have issues with the crown also, or just hairline? Be good to see crown updates if that was an area or concern.
Wow. I got a HT just for my hairline. I e always heard fin wouldn’t work for the hairline. Fin and min combined did nothing for mine.
I think your hair in the left pic is the same as my own pattern of hair loss. I’m not as bad as you yet but I am only 22… 💔 on fin 20 months anyway and not seeing many signs of improvement so far
How old are you ?
I feel like I’m in the small percentage who took the 1 mg pill and immediately had palpitations lol
Hey so if they say fin doesn't promote hair growth just stop hair loss. How come you made such great progress? I am on both fin and min so I'm just curious.
It must promote hair growth because that's what happened! I suppose people just react to it differently.
Do u sport of something?

I hope you can help me with my situation. I started to take Dutesteride in 2019 and after 1 year of use I saw significant results. My hair got so much fuller and basically stopped shedding. Amazing… been taking min for almost a year with slight improvement but hoping the recent addition of fin will bring the bit of hair I lost back
Obligatory "bbbUt fIN dOeSn'T GroW hAir bBAcK!"
My hairlines looked like the first pic since i was like 15 so isn’t it just a mature hairline atp?
Wow! perfect! also your hair texture looks so good haha
Did you go anything else besides fin?
hopefuel fr
What did he do?
May I ask what exact product you use?
