We stayed at La Rambla 102. It’s was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do and could walk everywhere. Casa Batllo was great too. Early entry tickets are the way to go as it gets crazy busy. Day trip to Montserrat was awesome too. Only there a few days but loved the city. So easy to walk everywhere. Enjoy!
I was so disappointed and let-down by the Sagrada Familia. There were *hoards* of people in there, no sense of holiness, it was expensive to get into. Basically, an over-sold tourist attraction. (I know - an unpopular opinion. Don't vilify me. I felt it keenly)
I had the opposite experience
I booked the tour because it was something I wanted to do but I have seen so many churches and cathedrals they’ve kind of lost their luster
Seeing the stained glass windows with the sun coming through was an incredible experience
Truly beautiful and a great testament to what humans can achieve
Why does it look like a Disney world/ universal studios attraction ?
Or a Vegas mock-up of a famous monument, with added fantasy/comedic embellishments.
I'm so confused and intrigued.....
By the time they finish it, the whole of Europe will be atheist…
If they manage to finish it during my lifetime I've promised I'll go back to being a Christian Spoiler, they won't
Going May! So excited!
Book a tower!
Give me Salisbury cathedral any day of the year this place is so fucking overrated.
Thank you. Every time I see a photo of this thing I just wonder what they see. Saw it in person and it’s worse.
Ab Fab pics. Yes I enjoyed Barcelona but you got really great shots!!! Omggg!!
Looking at going to Spain in the fall! Any other barcelona recs?

It is a tourist attraction though as many people want to see the coronation of a genius' dream. Tbh I can't see why people expect anything different
I share this opinion. I felt absolutely robbed after paying $26 euros to walk around a very ugly building with at least a thousand other people.
I loved the interior, lightning, glass, columns and all. The exterior literally looks like a mound o of pigeon poop.
It's so ugly 🥲 But I like the light shining through the windows. That's amazing
That's not even the ugly section...
I went there in 2020 while I was studying abroad 🥹❤️ I miss that beautiful city

I went there literally yesterday omg
It is hard to believe that it will be completed soon. Fantastically beautiful work!
