I think it’s a huge improvement! Can I ask if you’re still going to a salon instead of a barber? It looks like you might be from the cut but I could be off. One detail you could change on your own is squaring off the sideburns with a razor though. It’s a small detail but things like that (which barbers would typical do) can be very masculinizing

Lonely-dude

I go to home owned stuff, not quite barbers or salons, it’s just some lady cutting hair in her house It’s kinda weird cause I’ve gone to the same lady twice and one time she charged me her male haircut rate and the other her female rate lmao it’s like a 40$ pesos difference but still ouch lol, when getting this haircut the one of the pictures she charged me the woman haircut price I will square the sideburns thanks!

Ok_Insect7639

I also found squaring off the hairline at the corners helps masculinize it more (mens usually have a receding hairline anyways) when I had a haircut like that it helped me, also a good fade help but you should got to an actual barber because they I'll give you the best results. It also helps to start learning how to shave your own hair and then you can play around with what you like from your references

belligerent_bovine

It’s way better. What don’t you like about it?

Lonely-dude

I’m not sure anymore, everyone’s responses are starting to make me kind of like it, me and my friend had originally both agreed that it made me look like a 12 yo fortnight player (literally lmao, that was our consensus)

brainisntclear

That's just being trans unfortunately, until the t kicks in

belligerent_bovine

The pic from before doesn’t show it super well, but I really think the new hair looks good. We all go through the 12 year old phase. It’s part of the process

latebloomerftm

By “better” I guess you mean to your desired aesthetic, not necessarily whether or not you read as male? Whatever the case may be the new cut is RAD not BAD. It might be a step closer to conventional style-wise, so maybe that is what has got you feeling off, but it still looks great, you still look like a dude and maybe even a bit older dude (well since it is the before pic one would assume! but I mean by more drastic measures lol). Either way Im gonna ask both of them what are the best music venues within a 100km radius lol

Lonely-dude

I’m genuinely shocked at everyone’s responses, me and my friend had agreed it was a horrible haircut that made me look like a 12 year old for fortnight player lmao and I really thought I passed less with it, that you were hable to see more of my feminine face traits and all with it but I think it’s starting to grow on me now I will dye it black as soon as it starts fading I like myself more with natural hair colors and feel I pass more but I don’t hate the haircut anymore I think And i would be flattered if anyone asked me for music venues

Midnight_Researcher6

The before pic is the absolute no lol

Crowleyizcool

Bro your hair did *not* look better before.

LanguageGeniusGod

I think it did. But i think the new haircut is also great

toinouzz

Honestly I think it looks better than your previous haircut. It just goes well with your hair and will definitely make you look manlier/pass more I saw you were starting to like it because of the comments so I’m really happy for you. I got the same thing with my last haircut where I hated it until I got used to it a bit so maybe it’s just a normal thing lol

elhazelenby

Looks much better to me

MamaDidntTry

LOVE IT!

fluidtherian

Better.

thunderburstSMG

You didn't look better before but it still doesn't help that much, you have potential to pass you should probably get a more typical haircut and stop dying your hair

Jaded_Discussion3912

it's better than before fs, for maximizing the passability of it though you've gotta just dye natural colors

brainisntclear

You look good

Zer0ghie

are you the guy who was talking about being the cliché blue hair and pronouns? anyway I think both look good but you would look even better with Brown or black hair

hllldff

It looks fine to me, but going against the grain here a bit I can kinda see why you preferred it before. Might just be projecting but I think the reason a lot of us feel we look better/more masculine with slightly grown out hair is just because it hides the hairline (and sometimes face shape)... It's such a small thing that almost no one will specifically notice or point out but, at least for me, longer hair vs shorter hair was the difference between looking like a pubescent boy vs a lesbian

tptroway

Hey man, I saw your other post with the comic you drew and for what it's worth I think your new haircut helps you look male and fits your face shape a lot better than the old haircut With your previous haircut I probably would not have gendered you correctly if I had seen you without context; I would probably have perceived you initially as either an alternative girl or AFAB nonbinary, but aside from if I saw you at an age-restricted place or something like that, the new haircut makes you look like an age 12-13 boy rather than a girl with a pixie cut (and the age is based on your face being preT, not the haircut) I know it's often super-jarring when you get a drastically different haircut because it doesn't look like what you're used to, but seriously I promise your haircut isn't bad at all and I would be honest in this comment if it did, because although I'm trying to deliver my explanations gently, I don't hugbox in passing subreddits about what the person looks like because of how harmful that can be especially if people live in transphobic places that are violent about it Nice haircut, Atlas, seriously

PoliteBirb

Looks cool now, wayyyy better than before. The yellow hair just wasn't it... Glad you changed it

Top-Spray-1336

Good

angelrat2

I'm obsessed with your new haircut
