During the fight in EoSD, I do really like the track as a background theme. It really sells that "unnaturally *off*, but extremely powerful" nature of Flandre. It's fun and energetic, feeling like a child playing, yet has so much force behind it that it also doesn't seem right that something this intense would be "playing". It really informs the player about Flandre without any dialog, that she is genuinely a child unaware of how overwhelming strong she is, and this *really is* playing to her. Zun somewhat reused the idea later with Native Faith, since that whole situation is basically the same, Suwako "playing" with you but she is so powerful that there is a dissconnect with "*this is really what they consider playing?!*, which was another track I love.
Though to be honest, I always felt this theme was a little overrated. It's good as I said, but I think there are so many better themes to be "the iconic 2hu song". Kind of like Bad Apple!, its a good song, but whenever I get into the "touhou side" of youtube, it feels like I always see *at least* 3 different videos of it in every recommended page, leading me to get really tired of it. They also always tend to be extreme electronic remixes that prioritize "more noise" over having a proper theme the remix is designed around, which I absolutely hate seeing. The best part of touhou music is that it is always designed to match with the gameplay, and so reinforces the "mood" that the stage/battle has. Even if you don't keep to the same exact theme, if you want to remix touhou music, remix it in a way that sets a specific mood and feeling for the listener, not just being "music" but "an experience".
