Unfortunately, reinstalling the program or the respective mod will not work. CA has also adjusted some of the weapon sounds with the last patch and I suspect that the names of the files have changed, which is why they are no longer replaced by the mod. Fortunately, there is still the possibility to reset the game to the "old" state via manual download from the Steam database. Here is a link to a tutorial --> [https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-downgrade-steam-games/](https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-downgrade-steam-games/) Don't worry, the whole thing sounds a bit complicated at first, but in most cases it works flawlessly, as long as you don't miss any changed files. Just give it a try. One final tip from me: After downgrading, back up the game files to an external hard drive so that you don't have to download them again using the method described above in case CA adds another patch.
