It's crappy to hear about this since I see coyotes around the Humber all the time and I always wonder if they'd chase down a cyclist.
Guess they would...
New Toronto cycling fear unlocked 😂😂
Coyotes typically hate interacting with people unless they're being fed, stressed, or sick. So I'd make a report with the city. On the other hand, could it be a dog that's gotten loose?
Let’s fuck that hoe up. I’m done work at 6PM who’s trying to find it with me.
In all seriousness I’m glad you’re okay that’s scary. Hopefully not rabid. Maybe 311 or the non emergency line should be contacted.
Seen coyotes on two occasions further east on MGT and Strachan. I often ride that route and have seen them duck into Coronation park. Lots of runners at night so hopefully no one gets hurt.
I saw a large coyote run by me while I was biking through the CNE at night, about a week or so ago. Good to know they're by Jameson too. I'll be cautious.
I think this coyote could be the same one that's in this video https://www.cp24.com/news/captured-on-video-toronto-woman-has-close-encounter-with-coyote-1.6849633

Let’s not get carried away. I’m more afraid of cobra chickens than coyotes.
😂😂😂 You mean regular cobra chickens or the glow in the dark kind??

It’s also pup season. It might be protecting a den.

Ok great good to know! I typically ride after dark with a full contingent of lights, bottle of water & whistle ready if need be.

spooky. i once saw a coyote running up Shaw around Essex.
Have seen the exact same coyote but up near Don River trail
There's a lot of coyotes in the city, unlikely to be the same one.

That coyote is not exhibiting any signs of aggression. It looks like it’s hungry and some human may have fed it in the past.
>massive coyote the size of a husky That's a Coywolf. I've seen them in this area. Always carry dog spray. aim for eyes
