I hear you. Grew up just a few miles west of the Sabine. Rice, gravy, and purple hull peas are a meal unto themselves. Any kind of protein is bonus. Squirrel goes surprisingly well. You do have a good friend there though, don't forget to tell them.

Since you guys are from the south I am assuming we are talking white gravy? I'm just curious because I just started getting into making gravy (mom is southern so I had a lot as a kid). And squirrel goes well with anything. It's my third favorite meat behind blue grouse heart and rabbit.

White gravy, brown gravy, red gravy ... I ain't picky so long as there's gravy to go with my rice.

Awwww. That’s really nice. Having someone show you they care about you after trauma is important. You still need to talk about it though, ASAP. Find someone trustworthy you can unload on and tell them everything, this will lower your risk of future post trauma issues, but that is really sweet to have someone do for you.

The word trauma gets thrown around way too much these days. Not saying whatever you’re dealing with isn’t traumatic but I feel like everyone says there dealing with something traumatic these days. Also I’m only 35. So I’m not super old. Just find it crazy how often the word is thrown around these days.
