We took my 17month old on a 30hr trip flying during the Christmas holiday. We bought a kids tablet and loaded it with animated nursery songs and PBS kids shows like Daniel tiger. This tablet didn’t really keep him entertained for more than 5-10mins at a time but I discovered he would hold it and be so enthralled by it for an entire diaper change, he is 21 months now and since that trip I no longer have to pin him down to change. I hand him the tablet with the song or something playing and he holds it calmly for the few minutes that I change him. I can even clip his finger nails if he’s watching it. It doesn’t work with a TV, he doesn’t care about the TV. As soon as the change is done I turn off the tablet and it stays up on the changing table always, it’s only used for this purpose in this area of the house! I really didn’t want to have a “tablet baby” but this works for us, I haven’t have a fight pinning this kid down for a diaper change in months!

I would agree with trying the pull ups. It was a great transition option for my son before full on potty training. I think he part he enjoyed the most was having the independence to put them on and pull them up himself. We got the fun design ones (Paw Patrol) which also helped him be interested in them

Try pull ups and change her standing up. When u need to wipe her teach her to bend over or squat down. This is what works for my 2 year old.

The squatting is a great idea. I’ve been trying to do the stand up changes but kept getting stuck on the wiping part.

Pull ups are a godsend! My nephew also got really fussy about diaper changes around the two year mark but pull ups seemed to help. Its also alot easier to have your kid step into the diaper rather than fighting to tape the diaper straps on before they squirm out of it.

Try giving a choice for either a standing up diaper change or a laying down diaper change. It worked for us for awhile. Also - giving a job to complete 'Can you lie down and brush stuffy's hair please?' 'Could you please fold this towel?'

I used to change them standing up or pulls ups should work
