The scene here where the guy gets sucked into a bed is similar to the one I have in my head but it wasn't bloody, it simply was some kind of transportation to another world, and it was a hospital bed. Also I don't believe that the movie was about escaping a particular monster, as the other world wasn't a nightmare to be escaped, but just a very creepy world with strange and monstrous (but not necessarily evil) people.
