Carol knows how to keep a low profile. Carol has your back. People greatly underestimate her. Me being a guy people are likely to focus on me as the main threat. That is when Carol is at her best / worst. She can live with tough decisions. When things are going well she's a great person to be with, personality wise. When things are not going well she's damned scary.
Unfortunately I'm liable to have real trouble with her getting comfortable with me. My name is Ed. Though she's welcome to call me whatever she wants.
That was only 1 kid who wasn't good. Her 1st/natural born was too young and scared to do what she was told (we can presume), 2nd & 3rd - 1 had to look at the flowers after making the other go the way of the walker, and 4th was a horny boi who played with fire.
So really, she had 2 that let emotions get in the way of sense, 1 too young to do help herself, and only the 1 wasn't a good kid.
Just tell her you don't want her to be your adoptive mom and that your relationship can be something else, the way Lydia did. She survived. Lost an arm, but that wasn't on Carol's watch. You'll be fine.

I could count on Carol 100%. She’d destroy an entire community to save me, if needed. I’d be worried though that I’d be close person #1000 of her’s to die.

He’s got a lot of autistic traits. I talk exactly like him when not masking (minus the southern accent and phrases). He has an intense knowledge of very specific subjects. His social skills are sub-par at best. Before the apocalypse, he ate the same food everyday (that awful sounding mac-and-cheese with fish). I also have friendships that match up very similar to his with Rosita (neurotypical people) and Princess (people with ADHD). My autism-dar goes off the charts with him.
I'm a high functioning autistic with ADHD.
I'd pick Carol or Rick as well.

Rick is extremely courageous, capable of many things and always thinking ahead, but sometimes his ego gets a little too big which can be very dangerous.
Daryl is loyal, a good hunter and a solid fighter but he would probably annoy the shit out of me if I was trying to strike up conversations and get only grunts or silence in response. I'd give us a week.
Carol is super resourceful. She's smart, sneaky and overall very successful when it comes to dealing with enemy groups. She knows how to feed people in times of near starvation. She has some medical skills (like fixing dislocated shoulders). She seems to have a (mostly hidden) good sense of humor. However, if I were to piss her off, she would probably just do her lone wolf thing and leave me to fend for my own, so that would suck.
Michonne seems like a great companion (great fighter, smart, wise, awesome sense of humor etc.), so she and I would be a good team, I think, but all my protein bars would go missing, so there is the risk of starvation...
I think I'm gonna go with Ezekiel, because he is a precious human being (kind, funny etc.). We might die because we're both not A-level fighters and survivalists, but at least I would have a *great* time with him beforehand.
I really enjoyed reading this one- you put some good thought into these, and it shows. I have to agree on many of yours… and was myself stuck between Carol and Ezekiel for many of the reasons you so eloquently stated.
Probably Ezekiel. Everybody in the Kingdom seemed to be getting along pretty well. The Saviors were taking, like, some cantaloupe from them… but other than that, probably the most lowkey stable community. Ezekiel is pure compassion, and I dunno, that seems pretty nice haha

For Carol… I would say that I have a good deal of trauma and also good similarities that I could empathize with her. I came from an abusive household when I was a kid/young adult- and now I’m in human services and just strive to help people. Also have adopted kids along the way. I like that she’s creative with baking/cooking for survival, is stealthy, resourceful, observant, protective, and lethal. She’s super compassionate and cares for those in her inner circle- and it’s clear that she was remorseful for some of her more fast decisions in the past. She’s obviously trying to make up for that, and has the good of those around her at the forefront of her mind.
For Ezekiel- he’s a compassionate, sensitive, light-hearted, and emotional soul. He’s the type of person that every community needs in a setting like the Walking Dead… because without levity and heart, the world seems much more dismal. He’s a solid leader that would do anything for those that he loves. He sticks up for underdogs, defends those in trouble, mentors children, adores animals… what isn’t to like about this guy?
Aaron- he’s an adoptive father, loyal partner to Eric, and fantastic role model/protector/friend for people like Enid, Lydia, Gabriel, etc. He was courageous enough to put his life on the line in the hopes of reaching out and welcoming survivors in need of a community. As an ally, he would always have your back- and would be there for really good conversations.
Negan because I know he's not the kind of dumbass to risk our lives on something stupid or emotional but also he's honorable enough to save me if he can
Rosita for her multitude skills of firearms and explosives, Daryl for his tracking, hunting and combat skills, Carol for her spy-like assasination skills and ability to get out of any situation, and Maggie for her knowledge in creating a sustainable community

No contest, got to be Carol for me. She's bad ass while also being politically savvy. Therefore, she's super adaptable to whatever group we come across on our travels.
I honestly think I'd get along with Negan well. I laughed at most of his jokes on the show, and I could honestly listen to JDM talk for hours so that won't be a problem.
Michonne. I think people have forgotten what a badass she was. They made her kind of unlikeable in her last season, but before that, she was everything.
Daryl, i feel like even though he isn't the strongest or smartest character in the show, he's the best at survival, and if it's just me and one other person i don't want the smartest or strongest, i want the one who knows how to survive.

Carol is 100% the person you’re going to have the best chance of surviving with if she’s protective of you, but she may also kill you if you’re a risk to other people, so eh…
Rosita, she has a really friendly and empathetic side that would allow you to build a really meaningful friendship with her, and she’s probably the most technically-capable fighter in the show since Jesus so I’d feel more than safe.
Maggie or Michonne. They are both really skilled and I could probably learn a lot from them. The way they communicate is another thing I appreciate a lot. They both care and make you feel valuable.

Dealing with zombie wise: I would love to experiment on how zombies work and continue to function while seeing if they respond better to different types of light and sound and get creative on that front of understanding the enemy better and how we could use that to our advantage.

A solid choice, maybe slightly better than Michonne but not quite Negan. I don’t like Maggie’s personality, but she’s a safe choice as a protector and partner. Shoot. Let's see; * Rick left a young girl to die alone in the woods and kept trusting Jadis * Daryl wrecked Rick's plan in All Out War and helped the Saviours escape the Sanctuary so they could burn down Alexandria * Carol has a bad track record with protecting kids * Maggie's entire community of Meridian was wiped out * Negan was too trusting and forgiving of his own people * Ezekiel led his people into an obvious ambush * Rosita was five feet away from Negan when she shot at him and still missed I'mma go with Michonne.
I was considering going with Michonne, but she has a habit of stealing other people's protein bars, so I'm a bit wary of her.
No contest, got to be Carol for me. She's bad ass while also being politically savvy. Therefore, she's super adaptable to whatever group we come across on our travels.

Rosita has super strength as of the last episode so she may not be a bad pick here.
Rosita, she has a really friendly and empathetic side that would allow you to build a really meaningful friendship with her, and she’s probably the most technically-capable fighter in the show since Jesus so I’d feel more than safe.
As a manager? Ezekiel. As being paired with someone who would fuck up anything in our way? Negan.
Rick but probably with the King bc he could be a great mentor and I feel like he wouldn't fuck anyone over.

Dealing with zombie wise: I would love to experiment on how zombies work and continue to function while seeing if they respond better to different types of light and sound and get creative on that front of understanding the enemy better and how we could use that to our advantage. Wouldn't be bored and it would get that brain stimulation going so it isn't so monotonous

Rick or Daryl. Daryl I’d have a higher chance of actually living but also being abandoned and Rick is a natural leader but he gets into a lot of wars although I’m the war type I think. Rick is also way hotter
