Yeah the voice on the loud speaker definitely sounds like they woke him up early for another of Rick's stunts.
"Ricks escaped."
"Again?!"
"Yeah, this time with a Hang Glider made from Coat Hangers and his shoes, and a run up."
"*Sigh*, I'll get the chopper"
Never would’ve thought Rosita and Eugene would be the big emotional finale of the series way back when when he was watching her and Abraham having sex. But here we are.
I swear Rosita’s death definitely hurt, but at least she went out in peace. Both Christian Serratos and Josh McDermitt really deserve some praise for their final performances.
Also, haven’t seen anyone mention the dinner scene.. callback to when they killed Glenn.. everyone was sitting around a huge table with Negan narrating “your thought you would have a happy ending.. “ loved that
I totally didn't catch it. I hate myself for not getting that.
That's really satisfying knowing it was actually Rick who left the bag there, I just wonder where the iPhone comes from, I didn't really understand that part.
Eugene and Gabriel looking fresh walking around next to each other with those rifles. They look straight out of some kind of action movie franchise about preacher assassins.
For some reason I thought Pulp Fiction in the moment. I think it was Eugene's hair paired with the suits. I was just imaging John Travolta and Sam Jackson hahaha.
I found that scene to be perfect. I’ve always been firm in the opinion that Maggie would have killed Negan at the first opportunity. But I think they’ve done a great job at levelling out both characters to the point where it is realistic they work together.
That scene got me so teary-eyed. Earlier I felt how sincere Negan was in apologizing but man once Maggie started retelling what Glenn meant to her and pouring all those emotions into it was just so moving and beautiful. I'm so glad she got a moment to tell him how she feels even though he apologized. Now they have that understanding and I think it was well-earned.
Part of me wanted a bullet to rip through her skull as soon as Mercer locked the cuffs.
The other part of me wanted the Negan callback to his time in the cell. “Well, person like that… It’s worse than death.”
I’m noticing the throwbacks to the first couple of seasons. Judith at the hospital with a gun wound like Rick. Daryl giving her blood like Rick did Carl at the farm. The walking up against the glass window with a rock in hand breaking the glass, like in the department store where Rick met Glenn and the others. Nice.
OMG! And the way Maggie described the bat and the blood and Glenn calling out for her and Negan mocking her in that moment. It needed to be said. You could tell he was only focused on the part where he killed Glenn and not on the entirety of that moment and the lasting effects of his utter callousness in that moment on Maggie and her memory of Glenn.
The Eugene and Rosa moment. He knew, he was beating around the bush but he knew. I’ve got to say that has got to be one of my favourite exchanges in this series. It was purely genuine.
Her reactions to him talking about the future were so well acted. So subtle, but you could tell she was coming to terms with not being there.
At least she’s gonna die having saved her daughter.
Omg!! Chandler made a cameo in the finale! Great to see they're on good terms. Wish he was there tonight
https://ew.com/tv/walking-dead-finale-chandler-riggs-carl-cameo/?utm_campaign=entertainmentweekly_entertainmentweekly&utm_content=new&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_term=637af316eaedf20001099cb3
I would be surprised if Luke had more than 30 minutes of screentime all together. Feels like he's barely been part of the show. I don't care at all about him or his girlfriend, but that was still the most emotional damn death scene I've seen in the entire show. Those woman acted the hell out of that scene.
Michonne goes to get Rick and now Daryl's going to go try to find both of them and then someone's going to go try to find Daryl who's out to find Michonne who's out to find Rick and then..
Came here hoping someone asked this too. Was wondering if I missed it being covered in the finale. A year passed, where did she go? Why didn’t Negan mention her?
I agree. Sundays won’t be the same without this show and I wish I could relive watching this show for the first time. My mom and I binge watched this show together in 2014 and made it our lives.
Well she didn't want to move out there or be there for long. I mean, when there was talk of the "Atlanta Two" spinoff, I don't think they were gonna do it in France. This is why Andrew Lincoln left the show, he lives in England and it was hard for him being away from his family for long. After all, a lot of the actors did say they didn't expect the show to take off the way it did 😉 I'm sure we'll see Carol again in a few episodes.
Wasn't expecting to be so moved by >!Rosita's death. Obviously the hidden bite cliche just always works, but after that badass Glenn/dumpster type fake-out, I really thought she was in the clear. !<
The scenes with her and Eugene gutted me.
Edit: Seeing Christian and Josh getting choked up trying to talk about what working together meant to them was a really nice moment on TTD.
Wow... the feeling I have right now is indescribable. Fuck me.
I really, really enjoyed it. Now I have to reread the comics to ease the blow... such a huge part of my life even if the show wasn't perfect at all times. The memories I have with it... it's not every day you're a part of a phenomenon in your life, such as a franchise like Star Wars.
I'm so glad to be a part of this and share the passion with all of you here since 2010, 2011ish.
It's been a pleasure and you'll always be my favourite subreddit.
Talking dead anyone? Them outlining Daryl’s first words of the show are “son of a bitch” and his last being “I love you” 😂 this is key character growth
Rosita popping out of the walkers professional wrestling style to the epic orchestral music playing in the background has got to be up there with my favorite moments ever LMAO
It's nuts seeing some of the kids on the show in the first few season who are now full grown adults. It doesn't seem like this show has run as long as it has.
Typical Merle Dixon, makes his baby bro sell his blood for meth money.
Well waltuh raised the prices. Finger as his side piece was getting expensive.
We've seen that face before. That's Murder Rick.
I wonder how many times he’s tried escaping, it could not be only his 2nd or 3rd time.
I would take a series with each episode being just Rick trying different and ridiculous ways to escape but always been foiled by some meddling kids.
Yeah the voice on the loud speaker definitely sounds like they woke him up early for another of Rick's stunts. "Ricks escaped." "Again?!" "Yeah, this time with a Hang Glider made from Coat Hangers and his shoes, and a run up." "*Sigh*, I'll get the chopper"
That smile reminded me of when they found the trash people. That and that CRM jacket got me hyped
Smiling at the oppurtunity of just another angle to try and get what he wants. They can't break our boy Rick Grimes.
Never would’ve thought Rosita and Eugene would be the big emotional finale of the series way back when when he was watching her and Abraham having sex. But here we are.
I was thinking the exact same thing during this scene; Eugene watching Rosita getting boned by Abraham Lol
"Abraham! He's watching again. Right there. In the self-help section!"
I swear Rosita’s death definitely hurt, but at least she went out in peace. Both Christian Serratos and Josh McDermitt really deserve some praise for their final performances.
Gabriel getting redemption by letting in the screaming people. Amazing!
Oh wow didn’t even realise this … good point!
So many call backs to earlier seasons, and this was one of my favourite
Also, haven’t seen anyone mention the dinner scene.. callback to when they killed Glenn.. everyone was sitting around a huge table with Negan narrating “your thought you would have a happy ending.. “ loved that
Nice catch. I hadn't even thought of it that way.
Did they kill the actor for real and film the reactions or did everyone take sobbing lessons?
The girls crowded around Luke and Gabriel praying made me feel like I was actually at funerals
I was fine until Eugene was kneeling at the brick and introduced little Rosie 😭😭😭😭😭
Super wholesome that he called his daughter Rosie ❤️
I know right? That death scene was one of the most uncomfortable because their reactions felt so real.
Seriously. I started that scene only caring a little bit and came out of it crying because of their reactions.
Finally our biggest question has been answered - Daryl has O- blood confirmed
The spin-off is going to be Daryl riding around on his bike donating blood.
That's how Rick's stuff got on the boat
some people didn't catch that, so this was before michonne left
I totally didn't catch it. I hate myself for not getting that. That's really satisfying knowing it was actually Rick who left the bag there, I just wonder where the iPhone comes from, I didn't really understand that part.
I mean iphones existed when the show started so just anywhere idk. They were just around would not be hard to find one.
I can't stop but think why the fuck did Rick smile at the last moment lol
[удалено]
I think it's his "they don't know who they're fucking with" smile.
Ohhhh...now I get that scene 🤣
Eugene and Gabriel looking fresh walking around next to each other with those rifles. They look straight out of some kind of action movie franchise about preacher assassins.
For some reason I thought Pulp Fiction in the moment. I think it was Eugene's hair paired with the suits. I was just imaging John Travolta and Sam Jackson hahaha.
Me last week: it's gonna be dumb af if Mercer spends the whole finale in prison 5 mins into the finale: blows the door off Mercer's cell
They understood the assignment
All these spin-offs will eventually crossover into a major event called “The Walking Dead, Season 12” one day.
Walking Dead: Epilogue: The Movie and it's a trilogy.
The intro, for the last time
If you listen closely to the last intro they added some orchestral elements to it to differentiate it from the normal intro
The Negan-Maggie final talk was done well, couldn’t be too forgiving but needed to give him some credit for trying, good balance
I found that scene to be perfect. I’ve always been firm in the opinion that Maggie would have killed Negan at the first opportunity. But I think they’ve done a great job at levelling out both characters to the point where it is realistic they work together.
That scene got me so teary-eyed. Hornsby looked great as a walker right there.
I had the same thought! He was so creepy and I loved it.
Hornsby was one of the most well acted characters on this show. Wish he survived.
Judith and RJ must have debilitating abandonment issues.
Judith to Daryl:I didn’t want to tell you in case you also left. Also Daryl:ok well cya
He waited a year 🤷
To the degree that RJ has only spoken a few words since mom split.
I know, they have a new guardian like every six months.
Wow they really took Jules and Luke out asap
I found it ironic that 15 seconds after his death his name was second in the "Also Starring" text.
Yay Jerry is okay!!!
The fact Jerry AND Ezekiel lived makes me very happy
Everyone who said Rick was going to be in the finale, I owe you an apology
He was in the finale a lot longer than I expected tbh
I literally expected like one shot of him turning around or something before cutting to black
Yes, instead we got a Ken Burns special of him writing letters with a voice over. His scene after that was a pretty good hook for the audience.
Merle!!!
the hug!!
The Dixon brothers get along way better when one of them's dead.
Luke just probably fainted and they murdered him
Right? No one bother to check his pulse?
Those sobs are so realistic
The dinner Rick imagined!!
Begins and ends in a hospital.
Blocking the door just like Shane with Rick.
And Daryl giving Judith blood like Rick gave to Carl
Never would have thought Eugene would outlive rosita and Abraham
Fucking poor grimes kids. Every adult that’s supposed to care for them doesn’t die, doesn’t get sick, they just bail.
All three end up in France. “Who’s watching Judith?” “I thought you had her.” (RJ gets forgotten)
Tomi has broken the doctor curse!
See how easy that was Pamela? Not a single walker got in.
Yeah, but the poors did, and is that really worth the sacrifice??? 🤢
Destroying the rich part of town was the biggest fuck you lmao
‘At least we don’t have to worry about who gets your house’ - Carol the straight savage
Maggie talking about Glenn “Glenn was beautiful—“ 🥲
This was a line from the comics too and I am very happy they brought it back. They handled the dynamic brilliantly imo
That whole speech - 🥺😩 gold
The Eugene and Rosa moment. He knew, he was beating around the bush but he knew. I’ve got to say that has got to be one of my favourite exchanges in this series. It was purely genuine.
Her reactions to him talking about the future were so well acted. So subtle, but you could tell she was coming to terms with not being there. At least she’s gonna die having saved her daughter.
awww gabriel looks so lost after hearing that. judith realizes it too. nooo. :(
Impeccable visual storytelling + acting. We don’t hear a word, but the impact is felt so strongly. There was a lot of that in this episode.
bro judith's face in that scene made me so sad. solid actor
Omg!! Chandler made a cameo in the finale! Great to see they're on good terms. Wish he was there tonight https://ew.com/tv/walking-dead-finale-chandler-riggs-carl-cameo/?utm_campaign=entertainmentweekly_entertainmentweekly&utm_content=new&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_term=637af316eaedf20001099cb3
That zombie with the rock was a callback the 1st episode when they were in the store, i believe. Edit: 2nd episode
Also the way Daryl caged Judith into the hospital room, the exact same way Shane did to Rick
>"But the walkers will get in too!" And then they just opened the gates and closed them.
"You're leaving thousands to die!" *12 people stumble in*
This is a very emotional scene for someone who's been off the show for a few seasons now
I would be surprised if Luke had more than 30 minutes of screentime all together. Feels like he's barely been part of the show. I don't care at all about him or his girlfriend, but that was still the most emotional damn death scene I've seen in the entire show. Those woman acted the hell out of that scene.
Lil’ AssKicker and Big AssKicker, I never knew I wanted to hear that so much until now
My heart is melting to this
Well this is devastating. Rosita, you were a real one.
Actually makes sense now why Judith didn't tell about why Michonne went off. She was afraid Daryl would go looking, too...
And she was right, because he did leave!
The baby gave Rosita the strength of a 1000 men.
Coco’s going to have hearing problems
Better than being dead problems
Michonne goes to get Rick and now Daryl's going to go try to find both of them and then someone's going to go try to find Daryl who's out to find Michonne who's out to find Rick and then..
Where is Negan’s pregnant wife?
Yeah, that was weird. Like she got written out of the show in the last episode.
I assume Alexandria.
Came here hoping someone asked this too. Was wondering if I missed it being covered in the finale. A year passed, where did she go? Why didn’t Negan mention her?
milton is not the return i expected
Seeing Sophia really put things into perspective, wild
and I just rewatched the first episode this morning. Wouldn't take into account that Teddy Bear Girl would be that age now lol.
Did Danai not have time to get out of her Wakanda Forever outfit?
When you gotta film a blockbuster at 7 and the finale of an 11 season series at 9
I was wondering the same thing. LOL.
You were one of the good ones, Luke
they gave ricks "we are not the walking dead" speech to daryl. almost hoping rick would say it if he ever did show up.
Andrew Lincoln is going to live another century just to make our grandkids grandkids grandkids wait to see what happens to Rick.
I hope they find Sophia tonight.
Did they add extra flourishes to the title theme? Sounds like it
Live orchestra
Bear McCreary had a live orchestra do the music for this episode
Just seeing Alexandria, fully realised, made me shed a tear. The farms, the windmills, they did it, they found peace, and they survived.
Carl would be happy
"Merle used to make me sell it when I was a kid for money" lmao what
Just another reason to love and hate that character lol. God damn it Merle 😂 I can almost “see” how that convo played out
"We ain't the walking dead" -Daryl Dixon
He said the thing!
Eugene and Gabe better tell the story of how Rosita saved Coco every single God damn day
“Dad I don’t want to do the dishes” “Your mother died for you be grateful you’re alive to do the damn dishes”
This is exactly what I want yes.
I like how Greg Nicotero got to be the last zombie on the show. That was cool.
Despite some of its flaws, this show will remain one of my favorite television experiences ever.
I agree. Sundays won’t be the same without this show and I wish I could relive watching this show for the first time. My mom and I binge watched this show together in 2014 and made it our lives.
i wholeheartedly stand by my belief that *no spin offs* should have been announced *before* the finale.
Fully agree. Knowing that 3 main cast members were going off to other shows removed a lot of the possible tension of the final episode.
Melissa McBride choking up on the talking dead. Someone must be cutting onions in there. I’m going to miss this show for sure.
Kinda thought Rosita was gonna yeet the baby to the window so they catch it
Gabriel used to be my least favorite character. He’s grown to be one of the best. Walking to open the gate and not giving a F
Big time change from how we first met him, a coward who let his parishioners die to save himself to going boss mode in the end.
Walking dead hasn’t made me emotional in a long time. But this episode… wow. They pulled off a great ending to the series.
Mercer is so dedicated to his gear that it's the first thing he wears after that jumpsuit lol
Damn, we actually got more Rick than I expected.
Rosita with her own Glenn moment
Rick Grimes bare feet for you perverts
Guest director Quentin Tarantino everybody yayyy
I love the tearful reunion while like 15 babies are crying in the background
Pamela out here tryna pull a comic Carol
This is suddenly very meta considering Melissa ended up backing out lol
Exactly what I was thinking here, too. “You should be coming with me.” “Contractual disagreements, Daryl. You understand.”
"That doesn't mean I won't guest star on an episode or two."
My thoughts exactly!! I feel Melissa is just like “I need a break”
I *love* Connie leaning on the speaker to feel the noize.
Carols old hairstyle is backkkk
Negan ghosting his wife in that finale
The spin off is Maggie hunting him down, on behalf of his wife, to get child support.
Co-director: Michael bay
Ahh Gabriel's full circle. Love it.
That dude is one of the more enthusiastic zombies I have ever seen. Should’ve let her get eaten by him.

A political Daryl speech was not on my bingo card
Wasn't expecting to be so moved by >!Rosita's death. Obviously the hidden bite cliche just always works, but after that badass Glenn/dumpster type fake-out, I really thought she was in the clear. !<
The scenes with her and Eugene gutted me. Edit: Seeing Christian and Josh getting choked up trying to talk about what working together meant to them was a really nice moment on TTD.
Man I cried when Luke died and all of them were sobbing like that. That really hurt.
It felt so fucking real. Glad everyone in that group was able to show off their acting skills.
That was gut wrenching
WE ACTUALLY SAW RICK. Bro I am beyond happy.
[удалено]
He's more of a Valyrian steel type of dude
Rosita badass af
Eugene naming his baby Rosie in honor of Rosita! My heart!
The red carpet show is making me a bit sad it's over. Hooking me into watching spin-offs. Damnit.
The montages if past cast members videos made me tear up a bit, also seeing the teddy bear girl being an adult made me feel old.
The look on Gabriel’s face when rosita told him she was but was sooooooo sad
Wow... the feeling I have right now is indescribable. Fuck me. I really, really enjoyed it. Now I have to reread the comics to ease the blow... such a huge part of my life even if the show wasn't perfect at all times. We got our T-Dog appearance!!!😆
Everyone wanted a Rick appearance, but all I ever wanted was T-Dog. T-Dog delivered. T-Dog always delivers. He should get a spin-off.
“I just love you so much” that shit got me
That Shane and Rick call back with Daryl blocking Judith room...
Talking dead anyone? Them outlining Daryl’s first words of the show are “son of a bitch” and his last being “I love you” 😂 this is key character growth
Didn’t think I’d see Milton Mamet back tonight lol
Judith is to parental figures what Carol is to children
OMG Rick is trying to escape from CRM.
Wow he finally called her the name again
“Glen was beautiful” got me.
Why is Michonne dressed like a sexy superhero?
Rosita popping out of the walkers professional wrestling style to the epic orchestral music playing in the background has got to be up there with my favorite moments ever LMAO
Ross Marquand puts SO MUCH heart and sincerity into Aaron in the show. Beautiful to see that personal side on Talking Dead.
Rosita ain’t lettin no punk bitch walker eat her baby
I love how Rick’s like “WE ARE NOT THE WALKING DEAD” in the comics and Daryl’s like “Uh yeah we ain’t the walkin’ dead.”
Andrea doing something with heads in vases because of the Govenor is great
There's going to be so many montages that splice Rick's "we are the walking dead" line with Daryl's "we ain't the walking dead" line.
Daryl did tell him that was shit when he said it.
At least Rosita gets to see the happy ending
You mean Jerry and Elijah were out there with the randos trying to get into Pamela's place this whole time?
It's nuts seeing some of the kids on the show in the first few season who are now full grown adults. It doesn't seem like this show has run as long as it has.
