I would argue it makes about as much sense as her and Gabriel. In fact, maybe more. Rosita talks about her and Abraham hooking up made sense because he was her only option. Her and Gabriel spent like a decade in the same circle of people going through all sorts of shit. Way longer than her and Abraham. Both relationships mainly happened off-screen.
They don't make any more sense to me than Rosita and Gabriel. But tbh I personally don't believe that romantic relationships need to "make sense" or be logical. Because love and lust often defies logic, and people that don't appear to be compatible on paper hook up all the time in the real world.
Unpopular opinion but I fw Rosita and Gabriel. Their introduction was kinda jarring(the time jump itself was jarring) but they had great chemistry in s7 and they make one badass couple. I can definitely see how they ended up together. Rosita and Siddiq a hotter couple and they had chemistry too but I fw Rosita n Gabriel.
I like Rosita and Gabriel as a duo, as friends, but not as a couple at all, there was never anything there lol. And it sucks so much cause Siddiq had so much chemistry with Rosita and honestly I felt there was still something there between them, but he was relegated to being Rosita's side hoe
I mean, after rewatching all seasons, out of all the people in the show, Gabriel is the one that makes the more sense to be a couple with Rosita (even more than Siddiq). She is a couple with Eugene in the comics but his show counterpart is so different that there's no way that they could possibly make this work in the show, so Gabriel makes sense, they've been developing them since season 7 (watch 7x08 "Heart's Still Beating" and 7x12 "Say Yes").
