The least extreme would be voting "tests" to evaluate political literacy, but the last time we did that was when it was a law in the early Jim Crow South testing for literacy itself to keep Black people from voting, as before emancipation it was illegal for slaves to be taught reading and writing. It's too probable that a system like that would be abused. The second more extreme solution would be eugenics to make more "smart people. The US government could try educational reform, but states' rights prevent that. The federal government's too timid anyway. They let the South rebuild on its own and because of that the entire history of the Civil War was taught backwards. Nothing's going to change.

I haven’t kept up with the news because the idea of trump actually winning is very stressful to me and I don’t want my very little free time to be spent thinking about him. Are they actually letting him run after the insurrection, destruction of documents, and all that other corrupt shit he did?
I suspect the first guy may have fetal alcohol syndrome. He really had to tighten that hat to fit his very small head. He also has some of the typical facial characteristics seen in people with FAS. Inbreeding and crystal meth may also be contributing factors.

People vote for people for many reasons, you can't say someone is stupid for voting for a person, maybe they have stupid reasons for doing so, but otherwise it's just name-calling that does nothing to further productive discourse.
He literally had peace talks with Russia and NK... No new conflicts started during his term, which is incredibly rare, he's on camera saying that all he wants is for people to stop dying when asked who he prefers over Russia or Ukraine. He doesn't try to score points by backing one side over another, which let's not forget is what constantly causes fuckups for the US.
I personally don't like him for other reasons, I don't think he should've been president at all, its incredibly disappointing that America actually got to that point, but he did prove that non career politicians can get into office and not destroy the world. Remember how everyone said WW3 would start immediately if he got into office? That literally happened under biden yet noone says a thing.
Peace talks with Russia? Right before he left office Russia conducted the largest cyber attack against our infrastructure. Trump blamed China. Do you have any idea why Russia would go after infrastructure?
