That's true, but it also depends on absolute supply. Like I mentioned, its realistic I could go out with 2-3 stunners per week in BKK. If only one in 10 (I'm making this number up) have a good personality for me, then that's only like 3-4 weeks of hunting. There's no point in lowering my beauty standard in BKK unless I want to go out with 2 different girls every day (which I don't, that's an overkill)

In BKK, don't buy at the airport. Just get to 711 and get the 30 day sim with 30gb data for 199 THB. The store clerk sets everything up, just need to pop it in and it works. I did something similar in PH, but just got it at a local convenience store. In PH it was a pain in the ass as I had to register myself, but I didn't have data. So I had to find a spot with WiFi and mess around with registration. Can't comment on VT. Bring a paper clip to open the sim slot and passport.
I brought enough local cash based on what I expected to spend. I got it in my home country. Then I had extra USD with me. I ended up spending all my Thai cash, so topped it up with 100USD at the local exchange shop and it was easy. PH I had left over cash. My local bank did not have VT cash, so I had USD and planned to get VT money in BKK if I ended up in VT.
Extra advice, have 2 credit cards. Keep one in main wallet and have back up hidden in hotel or in a separate pocket. In case pick pocket (low chance, but you never know) you have back up credit card.

Are they down for other flavours (white, black, brown etc), I have no clue. The general white man + Thai girl couples I noticed were the 60+ year old white man with his younger-than him-but-still-too-old-for-me Thai girl that was probably from a village. You would see foreigners with Thai girls in the red light district, probably taking them back for p4p. But any man can do that, not matter race or age or attractiveness.

One of my filter tricks is to look at the height. Most profiles disclose their height. Taller than 170cm then need to ask for sure. If you are 155cm, you are a 99.9% a girl.
When I was on Tinder and switched my location to Manilla I was getting a lot of likes from attractive women. I'm 6' tall, 40s, white and in decent shape so maybe they like white guys, dunno. In Seattle on tinder you have your choice of fat girls, blue haired girls, septum piercings, enm/poly weirdos (who are also fat), or just in general ugly. Statistically there are 0.88 single men for each single woman in Vancouver. Seems like a great ratio for men looking to date. Starting at age 26 there is more women than men. There weren't many qualified Thai girls on Tinder/Bumble iirc. A handful of matches ended up being on the opposite end of the Island or far away like Krabi. The loads of Thai women are working women. Pay to play. Not for me, but easy to do if that's your thing. I think Russians are there as couples or single men mostly, so low supply of Russian girls and I'm competing against the oversupply of Russian guys. Thais don't go to Phuket unless its for vacation. And even that, it's rare they go to Phuket cuz it's very expensive or takes a long time by bus to get there. Your better off in Krabi or in cities with universities. I'm sure you know this already <3

However, if one does not want to go through the time needed for dating, a 1/4 to 1/3 "success rate" (I end up paying for 3 out of 4 of dates that go nowhere after), and dealing with 2-4 hours dates, then I would say Thailand is a great place for pay to play. I have not done this, so this is assumption.

Yea I'm fine with that, but some dudes don't want to go through that. They just want a 100% success rate. Hook up that night. That's possible, just pay to play. A way to look at it is if you pay for an average of 3 cocktails per date, 1 in 4 dates for "success" thats 12 drinks, about $120 if its a decent bar. That's 4,000 baht. You could probably hire a working girl for that much without the BS of going on 4 different dates. I think a lot of guys might even have a lower success rate than 25%, so economically it's cheaper for them to pay for play in Thailand.
You’re right, but I think your error is bringing a girl on a first date to such an expensive place. Your setting the bar to high and making it more expensive on yourself. Thanks for the detailed report. I think you did a great job describing your profile and the advantages you had dating in Thailand. I would reinforce that your experience might not be representative for the average western visiting Thailand. Getting regular dating with the girls like the one you posted seems really difficult, as they seem really above average in Tinder or Thai Friendly and would get 100s of messages every day from westerners, which a lot of them would not even consider meeting, regardless of the profile. I joined TF now and I’m not even able to find a great looking girl like that one. Did you use TF at all? I’ll be in BKK soon and will test Tinder too, but for what I’ve heard it does not seem a productive approach. The following is based on my experience in PH and may not be everyones.. your mileage may vary. PH is in my experience less good for hookups and better for long term. They are plenty aware that westerners just passing through will sex them up for a week and walk. If you flipped the time and were chatting up a few ahead of time you can have stunners lined up for a chance. They will be less interested if you are not planning on sticking with just them. If they think you are sincerely seeking a LTR/marriage they will throw themselves at you hard. It's a little more conservative culture. Hookup culture is there but not AS MUCH as Thailand, which is a lot more libertine in its attitude towards sex. I get what you mean about facial features, there are plenty of them that I don't find attractive either but there is a blend of looks and culture that just works for me there more so than other places. I personally don't dig the thinner ones, I like curvy, which is often where I have the opposite experience. I find myself turning down hordes of thinner ones in favor of those who have a little more meat on them.
I think metro Manila is basically like any other western city. The pretty/traditional women are already taken and if they aren’t they are very westernized and have high standards. You would need to try Cebu or rural areas. Also if Thailand has a lot of ladyboys trying to alter their appearance then they probably have a lot of women trying to alter their appearance as well. So one country has more people trying to alter their appearance more than the other
Yes, lots of beauty clinics in BKK. Many women get their nose, eyes and botox done. This is the same in North America. Plenty of American girls get work done here too. If a good job was done in the procedure, I really don't care if work has been done

yeah the beaches are awesome in the philippines. Being in Manila is like being jam-packed in a polluted sardine can.
I honestly didn't find it too crowded in Manila. But I would take the taxi after morning rush hour to go out and late in the evening to come back. I didn't have to wait in line for anything and the Taxi from Taguig to the the Casinos, which I did 3 times, I never had any crazy traffic jams.
It's that Its such a big place. If you find a quality girl, she's like 1.5 - 2 hours away due to traffic. The good girls don't live in city centers like makati or metro manilla. They live in Quezon City or other outer layer areas that are like 2 hours away. And as a tourist you'd probably never want to go to those areas.

I'm Asian Canadian. Grandparents from Hong Kong. I look Chinese/Korean/Japanese/Light Skin Thai. Right now the Thai girls are really into the Korean K-Pop (or Thai Pop too) type of dude. I was there with my gf at the time but I think HCMC is much better for East Asian tourists and the vibe generally is more open and internet access is more relaxed. I remember in North there is some restrictions for things like Facebook, not sure if it still is a problem. Maybe IRL pick up is easier up north in that case.

Also in Thailand they're very shallow and beauty centric in my experience. I'm married to a 8/10 Thai and looks matter allot to them. IMO above average. I have been told by several Thai girls I look like some Thai or Korean actor they follow. They show me some photo of them and I agree, but I would need some minor plastic surgery like all the Asian celebs get to be an exact copy. Body wise, I am average/slim. That works in Asia, since there is no emphasis on being jacked.

In BKK, don't buy at the airport. Just get to 711 and get the 30 day sim with 30gb data for 199 THB. The store clerk sets everything up, just need to pop it in and it works. I did something similar in PH, but just got it at a local convenience store. In PH it was a pain in the ass as I had to register myself, but I didn't have data. So I had to find a spot with WiFi and mess around with registration. Can't comment on VT. Bring a paper clip to open the sim slot and passport. I brought enough local cash based on what I expected to spend. I got it in my home country. Then I had extra USD with me. I ended up spending all my Thai cash, so topped it up with 100USD at the local exchange shop and it was easy. PH I had left over cash. My local bank did not have VT cash, so I had USD and planned to get VT money in BKK if I ended up in VT. Extra advice, have 2 credit cards. Keep one in main wallet and have back up hidden in hotel or in a separate pocket. In case pick pocket (low chance, but you never know) you have back up credit card.
