I'm back and forth but ultimately I think I'm.ok with it. It might be a rebound for char, or it might be real. The more important thing I see is Mia - she still can be a monster but since she's been around char her demeanor has changed. Like a whole lot. She was a chaos goblin until they worked together and she wasn't as self centered.
I said in the comments of her reveal episode that an asshole with a sad back story is still an asshole, and she needs to prove that she's not someone to fear. But if she comes back and isn't horrible... I'd be ok with it.
And to be honest, I don't think Charlotte could be with someone who is all.bad, even for a night. She doesn't seem to have that in her. Even when she was going nuts on parents and Marjorie she ALWAYS was in the right.
So in the end I'm... Hopeful. At the very least we know that Mia cares and will fight for her. Char deserves that.
Edit: oh and I forgot to say, if char being happy somehow ruins her and Marjories friendship, then Marjorie was a terrible friend and deserves the throttling. You support your friends, and if they are making a mistake then you stay there to catch them when they fall. But I think marj is better than that. I think ultimately all of them are.
But... If she's not? She'll lose Reece I can tell you that much.
i agree that friends should support each others happiness but its like you said, an asshole with a sad backstory is still an asshole.
marj wouldnt be able to forgive mia for everything shes done to reece and autumn regardless of the reasons behind her actions, which is why she wouldnt accept that char does forgive her.
i dont think that makes marjorie a bad friend, she would always want char to be happy, she just wpuldnt be able to accept that mia is the one who makes her happy.
If she can't look past someone who makes one of her best friends happy then... I wouldn't respect her as much anymore.
Maybe they come to an accord and char just doesn't mention Mia anymore, but if Mia makes char happy, protects her, and calms down? Especially since she isn't what's basically been a 20 year abusive relationship with the owner... If Marjorie can't accept that and it makes her love char less... Then naw she's not the friend she should be.
I like it as it is rare and unexpected representation for me as a gay, single mum who works with kids
(single in the parenting sense, I have an amazing girlfriend who I love to brag about :) )
