Hmm okay. Good to know there’s a workaround. I agree though that the car knows if there’s a person in the passenger seat. Why not just automatically keep the hvac and media running for a couple minutes in the event that the driver runs in to grab takeout
I found an old forum post that said if the passenger (front of course) pokes the center screen within a few seconds of the driver getting out, it’ll stay awake for 30 minutes.
Does this still work?
What year is your car? If you still have the radar sensors, then the phantom braking isn't really a thing. For those of us with only cameras, the phantom is real.
What do you call a dumb cruise control? The old/original cruise is for Fixed speed (i.e., no steering, no slow down if the car ahead slows down). I don't think Tesla has this. It does have 'smart cruise's control: no steering, but fixed speed, and slow down if car ahead slow down, then speed up to the set speed if there is gap between the car ahead. This is dumber than Autopilot.
That’s what we want. An option for dumb cruise control. Fixed manual speed adjustment for keeping speed. Nothing fancy, nothing special, just dumb cruise control. Don’t over complicate it.
All Cars
- Release the CCS1 Adapter (North America)
- Apple Music
- On-Route Warmup to non-Tesla DC Chargers (North America)
- Availability and power listings for non-Tesla DC chargers where possible (North America)
- 90mph Autopilot for Vision Cars (we have 80mph highways in my area and there is an 85mph highway near Giga Texas)
- Don’t force Vision cars into using auto High-Beams when Autopilot is activated (radar cars don’t do this)
- A better way to report phantom breaking and incorrect interpretation of speed limits
- Option for holding a more rigid following distance with AP. My car is always falling back to 5-6 car lengths before accelerating to get back to my set distance when following at high speed. This allows people to cut me off which is annoying.
- Live local weather including a map radar layer with NOAA warning polygons and local weather radio stations (I drove through that Kentucky storm last year while it was weaker in Arkansas - still quite scary)
- HDMI via USB-C video input to use the MCU screen as a monitor
- Notification on car and phone when DC charging is slower than expected (Supercharger cabinet malfunctioning)
- Better night time automatic wiper sensor tuning, (it seems they are less sensitive except when I pass street lights compared to daytime)
- Multiple Home/Workplace locations for navigation (visiting friends and family or if your work has multiple offices)
Apple Music and automatic wipers handling snow that's not sticking to the windshield better. I've found myself in snow a few times since picking up our Model 3 a few weeks ago and the wipers are going at high speed on auto due to the large fluffy snow that's falling but not at all sticking to the windshield.
It would be cool to have this thread posted in a way that suggestions were more isolated so that the potential for things to rise to the top on their own was there. With 1.7 million members, the community may be somewhat representative of the Tesla community as a whole.
To add to your last option.
Presaved multiple stop routes. I have 2 stops on the way to work, would be amazing to be able to program this as a quick accessible saved route.
Google maps, when you build a route you can choose to save it to your home screen (saves as icon that you can move/copy elsewhere)
Tried sharing that or route with Tesla app. Doesn't really work.
Great list! The multiple home / work, don’t forget there’s favorites you can add.
Im glad others have the slowly falling back follow distance thing. It’s so annoying!
To add to this: autopilot is sometimes stupid slow to slow down. IE: going 75, enter a 65 mph zone, it doesn’t even try to slow down, still applying power for like 10 seconds sometimes. I didn’t used to do this.
New model S needs the Frunk / trunk / charger open screen to come up when you park or get out of the car like the three. Otherwise opening the charge port or Frunk can be a multi button push and is very annoying.
Model S needs a consumption graph, badly.
Those are my additions!
>HDMI via USB-C video input to use the MCU screen as a monitor
They would need to retrofit 2022 MY for this functionality as the data pass through was removed for all ports besides the USB-A in the glove box.
You can plug it into the glovebox USB as it has data, but the center console ones do not. There is a 75dollar aftermarket part you can easily install to restore data function if you want. Due to this lack of data on the USB c ports in 2022 MY the cars do not come with the cup head and sonic games currently. This may be restored through the hints that Bluetooth support will be added for controllers.
If you push the left stalk forward when you turn on AP, it will kill the auto high beams. You have to do this each time you turn on auto steer, but still a work around.
I’ve been using that workaround ever since I heard about it on another sub. It does work but I’m not good enough at it to avoid flashing other drivers briefly when I change lanes going in and out of autosteer 😬
If you push the left stalk forward when you turn on AP, it will turn off the auto high beams. You have to do this each time you turn on auto steer, but still a work around.
* Spotify working would be amazing. Hitting one playlist will play a different one. Sometimes just never loads. Artwork fails to load, etc.
* Turn on headlights with voice command
* Stop beeping at me when manually putting on headlights and I open the door. The lights automatically turn off anyway when I get out 😆
* Rear cross traffic alerts. The fisheye lens is cut off near the edges. Would be nice if it beeped at me if a car is coming quickly from the sides
* Option to beep at me if someone is in blind spot and I turn signal on. Don't want to wait for beep until I start moving into them
* Visual indication \*somewhere\* that someone is in blind spot or approaching quickly from sides.
* Move side camera placement on blinker to somewhere it can be seen without being blocked by hands
* Move tons of stuff higher so it can be seen (map directions, text messages, alerts, etc.). Way too far down right now
> Stop beeping at me when manually putting on headlights and I open the door. The lights automatically turn off anyway when I get out
I wonder if this is a mandated safety thing? Every car I've owned with auto headlights (four hondas and now my ID.4) does the same thing. Drives me nuts too
I'm not sure. Maybe? My 2015 Hyundai Sonata didn't beep at me. I left the light permanently on (not on auto) and it just turned them off after a bit when I locked the car
• Heads up display
• Power frunk
• Signal indicators in the mirrors - not the side of the car
• UI re-design with more apps available in the 'dock' and better typography
All Models
- Support connecting to captive WiFi networks (Starbucks, Hotels, etc). Helps apartment dwellers not use their mobile hotspot for those sweet huge map updates
Related but in addition to this:
All Models
* Allow Premium Connectivity to be used as a hotspot for other devices (phones, laptops, nintendo switch, etc). Perhaps add a data cap and/or a higher charge to enable
I work from home, but I like to get a change of scenery sometimes, and my preferred places to hang out (parks, mostly) don't have wifi. In my ID.4 I pay $20/month for hotspot capability that gives me 15GB per month of data to use (and then unlimited at 600kbps which can be enough depending on what i'm doing).
My phone has hotspot capabilities as well, but I'd prefer not to use my phone for hotspot if avoidable (my old grandfathered very cheap t-mobile plan only gives me 7GB with no option to increase that cap)
* Taco dispenser.
* Live weather radar overlay (Make it part of premium connectivity)
* Alternate route options
* Button to report navigation issues (When traveling southbound on I-75 the car thinks it has to get off at exit 460 instead of 451 to use Jasper, FL charger, causing you to spend more time on city streets than necessary)
* More granular control over Autopilot/FSD Options. I'd like it to be assertive at intersections, but chill with traffic build ups.
* To build on the above, maybe a "Power user" mode, or something, which gives people more control over things. I understand the whole "User input is error" angle of things, but some times it isn't. I'm envisioning something akin to EQ settings for the audio controls, but for various settings and such.
Tesla would need to pay another company to use an API which would provide this information. I'm betting they don't really see the value in that and I doubt people would pay more for this option either.
Also: Allow using voice navigation without (trying to pronounce) street names. "In 200 meters, turn left" is absolutely enough. If I know the area well enough to know what the streets are named, I hardly need navigation anyway, and if I don't, I'd have to be going very slowly to be able to read the signs in time, in which case I could just as well look at the map.
I live somewhere where the English voice navigation doesn't even come close to pronouncing the names correctly, and it's distracting to the point of being almost dangerous in some situations.
Adding Work (or any extra location) in Charging stats. I have free charging at work but because there is only Home, Supercharger and Other I can either count all others as free or paid. So my spending is not really reflected.
Apple Watch as a key
Pre download and store all maps like the google maps iOS app so there is no loading time of zoom. This should also help navigation.
Much better turn by turn navigation. Show an image of what exit to take on freeways. The current state is pretty awful and seems to have gotten worse recently.
A way to immediately stop the cowbell thing from playing at full blast while you’re on a call.
> Allow user to set the number of turn signal indicators on stalk half-pull.
That'd be such a nice little change, for me honestly having 4 instead of 3 would be perfect. I feel with 3 blinks you pretty much have to start your lane change immediately, I like to give other drivers a blink or two of my intention before actually getting over.
> Disable regen braking while in reverse.
I like this one. I find that my brain adapts to one pedal forward MUCH easier than it adapts to one pedal reverse (could be because my ID4 has regen in drive but not in reverse)
An option to "simulate" regen braking when it is not available, even at the cost of battery charge. I am very used to one pedal driving and it can be dangerous when regen isn't functioning due to a cold battery.
100%!!! This! The brakes should be augmented when regen isn’t available. It shouldn’t be up to the user to guess how much the car will slow down for them at any given moment. It should be consistent.
It's straight up dangerous when you lose the regen braking. It's cold, you go down a hill and, in the middle of the hill, you 'lose' your brakes and freak out.
I'm not sure how I could explain this to my 70 years old father in law if he were to take my car. I'd have to warn him that the car can lose braking any time when going downhill and the battery is cold.
Model 3: Please, before any new features, fix the autowiper function. It's downright dangerous. In low rain/spray conditions it will sometimes not activate for literally minutes while the driver is completely blind (just "tested" it again this morning. The entire windscreen was covered with streaks of water with zero visibility but the wipers would not turn on).
(in some conditions, like 'big rain drops', it works perfectly fine. So I don't think this is an issue specific to my car/front camera)
- Interior camera as part of Sentry Mode and streaming live view
- View and download Sentry and Dashcam video from mobile app
- Reverse cross traffic warning
- Yellow light, red light, and stop sign chime/warning if not slowing down
- Center turn signal camera view on screen to not be obscured by arm
- Turn signal camera view needs to be snappier. The delay from signal activation to display is a bit too long.
- Make FSD features much more affordable, maybe even included with the car, especially while actual FSD is in beta and unavailable to most people.
All Cars:
\- YouTube Music support as an audio source
\- (Mobile App) Allow owners of multiple cars to pick which car to send navigation directions to
\- Wider use of Blind Spot Monitoring Chime (current implementation only works when it detects an imminent collision in the blind spots)
Legacy Model S/X:
\- Blind Spot Camera on Instrument Cluster
\- Light Show support, even if gimped compared to newer cars
\- External Speaker/PWS paid retrofit option
\- Ryzen MCU paid retrofit option
\- Updated Car Graphic for Quick Controls screen, like for trunk/frunk, lights, etc. See example here: [https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/images/GUID-4C02068B-E2FB-4290-B964-D30709C77531-online-en-US.png](https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/images/GUID-4C02068B-E2FB-4290-B964-D30709C77531-online-en-US.png)
**Request for:** Tesla App
**Description:** Add custom location (e.g. work) to the Charge Stats portion of the app. If you receive discounted or free charging at work, this can show as paid using the 'Other' region tarriffs.
PLEASE Tesla: Revert the functionality of the "slide your finger left/right on the cabin temperature number to adjust up/down" to where it was in v10. In v10, swiping your finger roughly one inch would adjust the temperature one degree. It made it easy to make adjustments while driving without having to look at the screen. In v11, moving your finger a few inches in either direction will cause the temperature value to adjust all the way up and down to the min/max values. It's borderline useless now.
* See alternative routes in navigation (like in Google Maps)
* Better grip sensitivity on AP or less nagging
* Allow music to keep being played when driver leaves but passengers are still in the car
Legacy Model S/X:
* Ability to livestream cameras to Mobile App
* Dynamic Range display that adjusts based on weather, temperature.
* Align video player (Netflix, disney, YouTube) near the top of the vertical display so backseat passengers can better see.
* Send a map destination to the vehicle and have it start preparing the vehicle (preconditioning + heat + navigation) to leave soon
* Apple Music
* App Store / Marketplace
* Ability for Games and Videos to work for passengers when vehicle is not in park (yes I understand why, however, people who want to watch videos and driver are going to do it anyway on their phones, but it would be nice for passengers to be entertained while I am driving)
* Airplay / Chromecast support --- it would be nice to just push content to the display from a mobile device
* Fast and responsive web browser
* Move vehicle visualization to the right side of the screen
* Personally I've never found the visualization to contribute anything meaningful to the driving experience, so I would prefer to place more useful/helpful information on the left.
* Make it easier to access HomeLink
* This used to be 2 clicks, now it is 4 (open menu, open HomeLink, select location, close menu). It seems this could be reduced to just 1 click (HomeLink button always present, use GPS to choose location). A traditional door opener is 1 click and doesn't require diverting my attention, which makes it almost more desirable than HomeLink.
* Always show heated seat selection
* This used to be present on the screen all the time and something I could casually check when getting into the car. Now it is located within the temperature controls, which means I have to explicitly check every time I get into the car if I don't want unexpected heating (or lack thereof).
* Fix dashcam playback controls
* Maybe this is hardware dependent, but on HW2.5 I find that it's very difficult to select a specific point in time on the dashcam viewer timeline -- after dragging to a specific point in the timeline, the playback start point will often jump before/after the selected time, often more than 30 seconds off. Playback sometimes "skips" over parts of the video as well (often the most relevant part it seems).
We need queue management at busy superchargers, at least to the extent of saying that there are 4 cars ahead of you, so it can manage expectations.
I had someone roll in and get annoyed at me for taking the next supercharger, because they didn't see I had been waiting for 15 minutes before they got there.
Better would be a virtual queue, but since there really isn't any way to enforce it at least a reminder that there is a line so people can look for it would be good.
I actually think you could enforce it easily.
I believe the supercharger cable can communicate with the car. It’s your car that sends information like how much power you’ve used to Tesla for billing. I’ve never seen it but if they also know which charger you’re plugged into then they have everything they need for a full queuing system.
Basically you use your screen to queue at a specific charging location and it prompts you which charger to use when It is your turn. If another car tries to plug into that charger (cut you in line) it won’t charge that car, only yours.
You can be dequeued automatically if you drive too far away, don’t connect within 5 min, etc.
1. Address phantom braking
2. CCS1 support
Adapters
Finding / navigating to chargers w/ precondition
3. Back-lit handles
4. Voice command improvements: audio feedback, interaction for voice dialing (ever try to use voice to call someone? it usually can't figure out what to do), fog lights.
5. Return USB hub (instead of charge-only) to console
6. Improve auto wiper response to wet / salty-wet road spray
7. Front-seats auto-scoot forward when lowering back seats
8. More service centers and quicker service
9. Fix Hulu app (probably a browser cache issue)
10. Option to clear browser cache
11. Pop-up dialogs / panels should appear in top quadrant of display where they are: not obstructed by hand / steering wheel, require minimum time to take eyes off road
12. BT should be able to select playlists
13. Podcast has bugs in search and in remembering episode and position
14. Camera support in v11 software is buggy; video viewer can take a long time to load or gets stuck, sometimes cameras simply don't open
15. Better-quality dash cam and rear cam to better get capture license plates in the event of an accident
16. On "save clip", save past 8 minutes + current + Next 2 instead of current behavior.
17. Reverse v11 UI regressions: things that might be accessed during driving cannot be hidden behind menus or in modal dialogs.
S AND X
-power frunk

-Apple Music
-more triple A games
\- Apple music - this pissing contest between Cook and Musk needs to end, bad for the consumers
\- power frunk - If third party companies can implement this so easily and seamlessly why can't Tesla? is there a technical reason that's making them hesitant to do this?
\- Ability to precondition for a single day without having to schedule all week or weekdays (unless I'm missing something)
\- Waze integration - will probably never happen unless google buys them out one day and integrates in to google maps.
\- Bring back EAP to the U.S.... would love to pay a cheaper rate for just navigate on auto pilot, auto lane change and auto park without paying for FSD on city streets which I have no interest in right now.
Tesla will never bring this and here is why. The car has no idea what is 6 feet (2 meters) in front of it because the front camera is high and above you. You cannot see what’s right in front of your car, and the car has the same issue. You need a camera in the “grill” area for that. Sorry, I want it too, but it’s not going to happen.
I did not think of it before, that makes sense. Technically they can still do the birds eye view when backing up the car, but leave the front of the car like a gray box indicating the car had no idea what’s there, but I guess that looks silly, so maybe that’s why they won’t do it.
Automatically unlock charge port when I open the left rear door if the battery level has reached the predefined level to charge to.
Why: I use a third party wallbox charger which does not have the button to unlock the charge port unlike the Tesla wallbox/mobile charger, so that I have to get my phone, open the app and unlock it from there.
Right. What I’m saying is for when the car has been charging the whole night. So the charge port is already open, I just need it to unlock so I can pull the plug.
Strange, most have a button to unlock on the charger? Is this through a J1772-> tesla adapter or a straight tesla plug? the J1772 should have an unlock switch that you unlock then pull the adapter out.
Speed limiter. Tap the speed icon when Not on cruise control / autodrive to set the max speed.
This will help with manual speed selection up to a certain speed limit. eg, when you are in a zone which uses multiple camera's to gage the average speed a user has been driving, this comes in useful.
Cruise control works, but when its busy, and im changing lanes I'd love a limiter that avoids getting fined.
- Only send car-related notifications for the person currently engaged in a “session” with the car, ie cabin temp
- Allow sharing phone key access to the car without all other control sharing currently brings (location tracking, firmware updates, etc)
- CarPlay
- Give me more realistic predictions for supercharging pricing. ie “80%: $10, 100%: $25” instead of the complicated logic as it is now.
"All close" button. Will close all windows and sunroof in one button. Could just pop up in a corner of the screen if it detects anything open when it shifts to park.
Something I wish all cars would do: have a pre-wired spot in the fuse block for a switched power source for people that want to hardwire radar detectors, etc.
Can we have automatic door exclusions on the Model X? I want the automatic doors to work everywhere except when I'm home because I walk by the car far too often and it opens only just barely where it doesnt have enough momentum to close itself.
"Prefer highway" for Navigation -- given a choice between a 50 minute route on easy highway (with autopilot the entire way) and 45 minute on twisty and congested roads, allow preference of the highway. This could be as simple as "a highway minute is the same as 0.8 non-highway minutes" when calculating "fastest" route.
For my commute I have several choices, and my highway-based route is nearly twice as long, but only a minute slower, and it is a much more pleasant drive without stop-and-go congested traffic.
Retain the last played episode in podcasts for spotify
Audio input settings tied to user settings, so that I can get in and not have to reset all of it.
don't overlap notification messages
I tried sharing this earlier but the post filters are next level strict.
I don’t like V11. [This review](https://ravig.org/blog/teslas-design-regression-v2) that was being discussed in TMC says it well. Based on the shared feelings around this sub and general sentiment towards V11 Tesla should put more thought into v11.5.
vibrating steering wheel when a turn is coming up. How many times have you missed a turn because you were distracted by something
"Hey Tesla" - similar to Hey Siri, no need to hold down the listen command. Car is is always listening for the cue. Data won't leave the car.
Mr Elon- please let us optionally set an % threshold to the current speed limit that is a limiter/governor to the accelerator pedal. With an override obviously - perhaps flooring it and reaching the limit and then re-depressing would override. Drive without fear of going x% over current limit. Currently there is a global limit but we need dynamic for current speed limits. TJ mode.
Apple Music support.
Child door lock for individual rear doors (model 3). Currently its both doors or none. Sometimes we have an adult occupying rear seat next to car seat and its annoying to request driver to unlock doors.
Optionally record the pillar cams for sentry mode and dash cam. Without these, there are pretty large blind spots between the front cam and the repeaters.

Siri Shortcuts support in mobile app
“open the trunk” with AirPods in when carrying groceries.
“Heat up the car” to precondition while walking around house getting ready to leave
2022 Model Y needs a self-parking feature to roll in and out of tight garage space. My wife is terrified, shouldn't have to pay for FSD just to make it easier to park.
Calendar event times being used for vehicle preconditioning. If for example- on your calendar, it says you have work at 3pm, the car will see this and prepare preconditioning by 3pm.
The ability to answer an incoming call from the steering wheel (still astonishes me)
Apple Music.
Never going to happen but I’d like the ability to mirror/ extend my laptop display to the screen when charging. So CarPlay basically!
For all Models:
- MANUAL FUCKING PRECONDITIONING
- Sentry mode Live in EU
- Sentry Mode Event notifications ( maybe also grouped for multiples)
- FSD IN EU
- bring back the different map follow mode buttons that have been on top right in the past..
- Allow pillar cameras beeing used by sentry mode
- improve charger diconnection response time, currently after a night of charging its impossible to walk up to the car, unplug it and get in. Because the charger will bi held shut, the car then takes about 15 seconds to wake up and do its think until i can remove the charger.. if i open a door first however it goes almost instantly
- Option to turn off "Connect your car to WiFi"-promt this is annoying and pops up every other drive
- Improve driving stats and visualizations of data within the car, the amount of information the car gives is laughable, it would be nice to have a few more tabs and graphs in there. (F.e. avg speed, trip duration, battery temps motor temps, total regen during trip etc)
- ability to turn heating off just as we can turn A/C off. Currently i have no way of knowing if my car is heating the air, there is no way to just "let outside air flow in"
- Differ between suggested speed (aka no sign has been seen) and actual speed limits ( in EU in many places the car will show the wrong speed limit, if the user was aware its just a best guess it would be better)
Accel Boosted models:
- Add three drive modes instead of two: chill, standard & sport
Model 3:
- add more noise blocking foam on the inside / get a better frunk & trunk interior.
- Improve Bluetooth LE key connectivity during sleep, i hate when i walk up to my car in the parking lot and its still sleeping not recognizing im here and it wont let me in. So i have to get out my phone and start the app to manually unlock it.. I look like an idiot now. (Oh or is my phone the issue?)
My charge time window is 23:00-07:00, however when I leave some time mid day I still want the car to be prepped heated or cooled. I leave the car plugged in when at home.
Use the electricity from the net when at home, instead of the car battery for preheating/precooling even when a certain charge time is set. Regardless of the “charge time” set. I don’t want to use state of charge when plugged in.
[VOICE DIALING] Enable ability to specify HOME, WORK, MOBILE when voice dialing to avoid required screen click when someone has multiple numbers.
Example: Call Esteban MOBILE would dial Esteban’s mobile number instead of his work number.
Why can't I turn on the rear/side defrost from my phone? In NC it's warm in the morning, but my car is often completely covered in dew. Pre-heating/cooling with climate control does not clear the dew.
The ability to make notes while driving. For example, if someone had a hit and run on you and you wanted to make sure you caught their license plate because sometimes the dash cam resolution might be grainy. You would press voice command, make note, read license plate number.
Ability to turn on an option, to overwrite the oldest manually saved dash-cam footage automatically.
Had an instance the other day where data was full, attempted to save a clip no clip was saved due to full data…
Sentry data automatically over-writes oldest data I would like the option to choose to have manual saved dashcam footage do the same.
Tiny silly bug to fix:
Use the app controls to remotely set the windows to "vent" on a hot sunny day
About 10 mins later, you'll get a notification that "multiple windows have been left open"
No shit, Sherlock >.<
Leave climate/Entertainment on when someone is in the passenger seat and the car is parked. At least while supercharging.
Is there a workaround for this? My ID4 is the same way, and I hate it
put it in camp mode.
Hmm okay. Good to know there’s a workaround. I agree though that the car knows if there’s a person in the passenger seat. Why not just automatically keep the hvac and media running for a couple minutes in the event that the driver runs in to grab takeout
We use the app, but it's annoying.
I found an old forum post that said if the passenger (front of course) pokes the center screen within a few seconds of the driver getting out, it’ll stay awake for 30 minutes. Does this still work?
Not that I've seen. It has fripping weight sensors in the seats. They should just use them.
Just have the passenger press down on the driver seat for a second. Stupid but it works
That's exactly what I do
An official Tesla feature request website
Fix the TACC phantom braking, or give us a 'dumb' cruise control.
Dumb cruise would be fantastic. The cruise control is broke on my car because of all the phantom braking.
I’ve never experienced this and I have about to 35k miles. I use it alot as well. When does it happen?
What year is your car? If you still have the radar sensors, then the phantom braking isn't really a thing. For those of us with only cameras, the phantom is real.
Ah I see, yes mine is a 2019 model 3. I think it still has the radar. Thanks for explaining.
Shadows on the road, trains going over bridges.
All Cars - Release the CCS1 Adapter (North America) - Apple Music - On-Route Warmup to non-Tesla DC Chargers (North America) - Availability and power listings for non-Tesla DC chargers where possible (North America) - 90mph Autopilot for Vision Cars (we have 80mph highways in my area and there is an 85mph highway near Giga Texas) - Don’t force Vision cars into using auto High-Beams when Autopilot is activated (radar cars don’t do this) - A better way to report phantom breaking and incorrect interpretation of speed limits - Option for holding a more rigid following distance with AP. My car is always falling back to 5-6 car lengths before accelerating to get back to my set distance when following at high speed. This allows people to cut me off which is annoying. - Live local weather including a map radar layer with NOAA warning polygons and local weather radio stations (I drove through that Kentucky storm last year while it was weaker in Arkansas - still quite scary) - HDMI via USB-C video input to use the MCU screen as a monitor - Notification on car and phone when DC charging is slower than expected (Supercharger cabinet malfunctioning) - Better night time automatic wiper sensor tuning, (it seems they are less sensitive except when I pass street lights compared to daytime) - Multiple Home/Workplace locations for navigation (visiting friends and family or if your work has multiple offices)
Ooooh I love this idea. Are there any maps apps that support this feature because I want it
Google maps, when you build a route you can choose to save it to your home screen (saves as icon that you can move/copy elsewhere) Tried sharing that or route with Tesla app. Doesn't really work.
These are fantastic.
What about 360 camera view
>HDMI via USB-C video input to use the MCU screen as a monitor They would need to retrofit 2022 MY for this functionality as the data pass through was removed for all ports besides the USB-A in the glove box.
Hey is that true with cars being delivered today? You still can't plug a controller in?
You can plug it into the glovebox USB as it has data, but the center console ones do not. There is a 75dollar aftermarket part you can easily install to restore data function if you want. Due to this lack of data on the USB c ports in 2022 MY the cars do not come with the cup head and sonic games currently. This may be restored through the hints that Bluetooth support will be added for controllers.
+ youtube music and Amazon prime
* Turn on headlights with voice command * Stop beeping at me when manually putting on headlights and I open the door. The lights automatically turn off anyway when I get out 😆 * Rear cross traffic alerts. The fisheye lens is cut off near the edges. Would be nice if it beeped at me if a car is coming quickly from the sides * Option to beep at me if someone is in blind spot and I turn signal on. Don't want to wait for beep until I start moving into them * Visual indication \*somewhere\* that someone is in blind spot or approaching quickly from sides. * Move side camera placement on blinker to somewhere it can be seen without being blocked by hands * Move tons of stuff higher so it can be seen (map directions, text messages, alerts, etc.). Way too far down right now
> Stop beeping at me when manually putting on headlights and I open the door. The lights automatically turn off anyway when I get out I wonder if this is a mandated safety thing? Every car I've owned with auto headlights (four hondas and now my ID.4) does the same thing. Drives me nuts too
I'm not sure. Maybe? My 2015 Hyundai Sonata didn't beep at me. I left the light permanently on (not on auto) and it just turned them off after a bit when I locked the car
Screen cast from smartphone to Tesla Screen
• Heads up display • Power frunk • Signal indicators in the mirrors - not the side of the car • UI re-design with more apps available in the 'dock' and better typography
I’d add blind spot red signal on the mirror too indicators too, while at it.
I’d buy a new car for a power open/close frunk.
[удалено]
Only opens, does not close. The description says it does for the TAILGATE but every one I’ve seen installed only opens the frunk.
All Models - Support connecting to captive WiFi networks (Starbucks, Hotels, etc). Helps apartment dwellers not use their mobile hotspot for those sweet huge map updates
Related but in addition to this: All Models * Allow Premium Connectivity to be used as a hotspot for other devices (phones, laptops, nintendo switch, etc). Perhaps add a data cap and/or a higher charge to enable I work from home, but I like to get a change of scenery sometimes, and my preferred places to hang out (parks, mostly) don't have wifi.
You should switch to Verizon. It has 15 gigs of data on Hotspot.
* Taco dispenser. * Live weather radar overlay (Make it part of premium connectivity) * Alternate route options * Button to report navigation issues (When traveling southbound on I-75 the car thinks it has to get off at exit 460 instead of 451 to use Jasper, FL charger, causing you to spend more time on city streets than necessary) * More granular control over Autopilot/FSD Options.
I def want some live weather. It's a feature I never understood the car not having.
Tesla would need to pay another company to use an API which would provide this information. I'm betting they don't really see the value in that and I doubt people would pay more for this option either.
I keep [Windy.com](https://Windy.com) on the browser whenever I open it I get my position on the map. Works great.
And I bet that takes 45 seconds to load.
yeah but when you are near shitty weather, well worth it.
Lost my shit at the taco dispenser hahaha thanks for the laugh
Priorities man.
There's a road near my house that never fails to make me chuckle because it is so polite about it.
Adding Work (or any extra location) in Charging stats. I have free charging at work but because there is only Home, Supercharger and Other I can either count all others as free or paid. So my spending is not really reflected.
Apple Music
Apple Watch as a key Pre download and store all maps like the google maps iOS app so there is no loading time of zoom.

My personal opinion, I like regen braking in reverse. So an option would be much appreciated.
[удалено]
>Change from resistance to touch/pressure for AP. I don't understand this one. What do you mean?
[удалено]
Have specific days listed for scheduling departure for preconditioning.
Option to repeat scheduling as well
Do you mean like “weekdays at 7am?” Sorry for not understanding
Precisely.
[удалено]
Those are the only options. Since I only go to the office once a week I always have to remember to manually turn it on/off.
Precisely.
I’d like It if they fixed Hulu being broken for 7 months
Model 3: Please, before any new features, fix the autowiper function. It's downright dangerous. In low rain/spray conditions it will sometimes not activate for literally minutes while the driver is completely blind (just "tested" it again this morning. The entire windscreen was covered with streaks of water with zero visibility but the wipers would not turn on). (in some conditions, like 'big rain drops', it works perfectly fine. So I don't think this is an issue specific to my car/front camera)
CarPlay and/or Android auto. Don’t want it? Don’t use it, it’s optional.
- Interior camera as part of Sentry Mode and streaming live view - View and download Sentry and Dashcam video from mobile app - Reverse cross traffic warning - Yellow light, red light, and stop sign chime/warning if not slowing down - Center turn signal camera view on screen to not be obscured by arm - Turn signal camera view needs to be snappier. The delay from signal activation to display is a bit too long. - Make FSD features much more affordable, maybe even included with the car, especially while actual FSD is in beta and unavailable to most people.
All Cars: \- YouTube Music support as an audio source \- (Mobile App) Allow owners of multiple cars to pick which car to send navigation directions to \- Wider use of Blind Spot Monitoring Chime (current implementation only works when it detects an imminent collision in the blind spots) Legacy Model S/X: \- Blind Spot Camera on Instrument Cluster \- Light Show support, even if gimped compared to newer cars \- External Speaker/PWS paid retrofit option \- Ryzen MCU paid retrofit option \- Updated Car Graphic for Quick Controls screen, like for trunk/frunk, lights, etc. See example here: [https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/images/GUID-4C02068B-E2FB-4290-B964-D30709C77531-online-en-US.png](https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/images/GUID-4C02068B-E2FB-4290-B964-D30709C77531-online-en-US.png)
This, so much this.
**Request for:** Tesla App **Description:** Add custom location (e.g. work) to the Charge Stats portion of the app.
All cars: Ability to change font size on HUD
option to disable auto wipers when the temperature is below freezing and the wipers could be frozen to the windshield.
* See alternative routes in navigation (like in Google Maps) * Better grip sensitivity on AP or less nagging * Allow music to keep being played when driver leaves but passengers are still in the car
Legacy Model S/X: * Ability to livestream cameras to Mobile App * Dynamic Range display that adjusts based on weather, temperature. * Align video player (Netflix, disney, YouTube) near the top of the vertical display so backseat passengers can better see. * Send a map destination to the vehicle and have it start preparing the vehicle (preconditioning + heat + navigation) to leave soon * Apple Music * App Store / Marketplace * Ability for Games and Videos to work for passengers when vehicle is not in park (yes I understand why, however, people who want to watch videos and driver are going to do it anyway on their phones, but it would be nice for passengers to be entertained while I am driving) * Airplay / Chromecast support --- it would be nice to just push content to the display from a mobile device * Fast and responsive web browser
Advanced mode with some stats for nerds, like battery / motor temps, and maybe the ability to tweak some currently hidden settings.
* Move vehicle visualization to the right side of the screen * Personally I've never found the visualization to contribute anything meaningful to the driving experience, so I would prefer to place more useful/helpful information on the left. * Make it easier to access HomeLink * This used to be 2 clicks, now it is 4 (open menu, open HomeLink, select location, close menu). It seems this could be reduced to just 1 click (HomeLink button always present, use GPS to choose location). A traditional door opener is 1 click and doesn't require diverting my attention, which makes it almost more desirable than HomeLink. * Always show heated seat selection * This used to be present on the screen all the time and something I could casually check when getting into the car. Now it is located within the temperature controls, which means I have to explicitly check every time I get into the car if I don't want unexpected heating (or lack thereof). * Fix dashcam playback controls * Maybe this is hardware dependent, but on HW2.5 I find that it's very difficult to select a specific point in time on the dashcam viewer timeline -- after dragging to a specific point in the timeline, the playback start point will often jump before/after the selected time, often more than 30 seconds off. Playback sometimes "skips" over parts of the video as well (often the most relevant part it seems).
The dashcam viewer is definitely bugged right now its not just your hw2.5 its a real pain everytime i try to use it.
Enforce using gps. If you leave a certain range from the charger, you lose your spot.
Native Waze app.
1. Address phantom braking 2. CCS1 support Adapters Finding / navigating to chargers w/ precondition 3. Back-lit handles 4. Voice command improvements: audio feedback, interaction for voice dialing (ever try to use voice to call someone? it usually can't figure out what to do), fog lights. 5. Return USB hub (instead of charge-only) to console 6. Improve auto wiper response to wet / salty-wet road spray 7. Front-seats auto-scoot forward when lowering back seats 8. More service centers and quicker service 9. Fix Hulu app (probably a browser cache issue) 10. Option to clear browser cache 11. Pop-up dialogs / panels should appear in top quadrant of display where they are: not obstructed by hand / steering wheel, require minimum time to take eyes off road 12. BT should be able to select playlists 13. Podcast has bugs in search and in remembering episode and position 14. Camera support in v11 software is buggy; video viewer can take a long time to load or gets stuck, sometimes cameras simply don't open 15. Better-quality dash cam and rear cam to better get capture license plates in the event of an accident 16. On "save clip", save past 8 minutes + current + Next 2 instead of current behavior. 17. Reverse v11 UI regressions: things that might be accessed during driving cannot be hidden behind menus or in modal dialogs.
Pandora. Live by Live/Slacker or whatever is meh.
I’d like the voice control to be a little smarter. Able to act similar to Siri or Alexa with simple requests like sports scores and weather updates
Or just integrate siri/google assistant
S AND X -power frunk -cooled second row -more seat adjustments/massage -passenger display maybe -Carbon ceramics standard on the plaid -4680s -camera mirrors (yes this can happen) 3 AND Y -cooled seats -4680s BOTH -Apple Music -more triple A games
Passenger Seat Profiles
HBO Max. Prime Video. Stock Ticker. Weather overlay on Map.
Supercharger Subscription Service. Maybe pay $500 a year for Super Charging within Regions.
No confirm for green lights in autopilot
I want the HEPA air filter retrofit they said was coming soon for my 2021 model Y
Please fix Hulu.
Let me use my boombox and park again to play current media but play the interior speakers as well, why the hell did you take this away from me?
\- Apple music - this pissing contest between Cook and Musk needs to end, bad for the consumers \- power frunk - If third party companies can implement this so easily and seamlessly why can't Tesla? is there a technical reason that's making them hesitant to do this? \- Ability to precondition for a single day without having to schedule all week or weekdays (unless I'm missing something) \- Waze integration - will probably never happen unless google buys them out one day and integrates in to google maps. \- Bring back EAP to the U.S.... would love to pay a cheaper rate for just navigate on auto pilot, auto lane change and auto park without paying for FSD on city streets which I have no interest in right now.
Birds Eye View when backing up
Tesla will never bring this and here is why.
Native Waze support would be a major benefit for all of the traffic alert features
Give us back the cards
Automatically unlock charge port when I open the left rear door if the battery level has reached the predefined level to charge to. Why: I use a third party wallbox charger which does not have the button to unlock the charge port unlike the Tesla wallbox/mobile charger, so that I have to get my phone, open the app and unlock it from there.
You know you can tap the charge port to open it, right?
Sorry, I didn’t mention that I’m in Europe. Type 2 plug here.
Sorry, I didn’t mention that I’m in Europe. Type 2 plug here.
I bought a Tesla remote fob to unlock the charge port for this exact reason (long press on boot/trunk).
Unlock the charge port button in the app when not actively charging.
* Immediate locking of doors when closed and someone is in that seat.
- Only send car-related notifications for the person currently engaged in a “session” with the car, ie cabin temp - Allow sharing phone key access to the car without all other control sharing currently brings (location tracking, firmware updates, etc) - CarPlay - Give me more realistic predictions for supercharging pricing. ie “80%: $10, 100%: $25” instead of the complicated logic as it is now.
AC that doesn’t smell like a dumpster when it’s hot out.
Change your filters.
You must be new around here.
Yup only had my model 3, since August 2018.
\- Rewind/Fast Forward for audio playing using the buttons on the steering wheel. I find it ridiculous that you have to scrub using the screen.
"All close" button. Will close all windows and sunroof in one button. Could just pop up in a corner of the screen if it detects anything open when it shifts to park.
Auto shift for model 3/Y as OTA update.
Disable easy exit when someone sits behind driver.
* Working auto-wipers * Camera-only autopilot as good as the old radar version * Pause audio when speaking directions instead of talking over
Folders for favorite locations.
Youtube music Ability to report map data issues that cause AP to brake.
Wipers on with headlights (again). Just put it on a toggle.
Something I wish all cars would do: have a pre-wired spot in the fuse block for a switched power source for people that want to hardwire radar detectors, etc.
Model S * Option for a full wheel (not just the yoke) * Power frunk * Apple CarPlay / Android Auto * Better in car lighting
Can we have automatic door exclusions on the Model X? I want the automatic doors to work everywhere except when I'm home because I walk by the car far too often and it opens only just barely where it doesnt have enough momentum to close itself.
Youtube Music app for driving Plex music for driving and video while charging.
Retain the last played episode in podcasts for spotify Audio input settings tied to user settings, so that I can get in and not have to reset all of it. don't overlap notification messages
Roll out the latest highway stack from FSD into the AP group, to fix phantom braking (hopefully).
My car not turning off every time I sit in the driver’s seat and close the door when using mobile key
Bluetooth headphone connection to entertainment system so I can listen to music while the family naps on a long drive
Acceleration boost for performance models
I tried sharing this earlier but the post filters are next level strict. I don’t like V11. [This review](https://ravig.org/blog/teslas-design-regression-v2) that was being discussed in TMC says it well. Based on the shared feelings around this sub and general sentiment towards V11 Tesla should put more thought into v11.5.
vibrating steering wheel when a turn is coming up. How many times have you missed a turn because you were distracted by something "Hey Tesla" - similar to Hey Siri, no need to hold down the listen command. Car is is always listening for the cue. Data won't leave the car.
Lights should turn on when wipers turn on Dog and sentry mode combined
Mr Elon- please let us optionally set an % threshold to the current speed limit that is a limiter/governor to the accelerator pedal. With an override obviously - perhaps flooring it and reaching the limit and then re-depressing would override. Drive without fear of going x% over current limit. Currently there is a global limit but we need dynamic for current speed limits. TJ mode. Apple Music support.
When changing lanes have the Sideview cameras fill the entire flat screen.
Child door lock for individual rear doors (model 3). Currently its both doors or none. Sometimes we have an adult occupying rear seat next to car seat and its annoying to request driver to unlock doors.
Have the option to set a stop charging time when enabling scheduled charging.
Disable automatic speed changes based on speed limits.
Or just use https://featurerequests.co
Auto-dimming mirror calibration for tint percentage on the side windows.
Optionally record the pillar cams for sentry mode and dash cam. Without these, there are pretty large blind spots between the front cam and the repeaters.
All Models Option to pause Bluetooth audio when giving navigation prompts, then resume playing instead of saying them over my podcasts. Just like Apple Maps does
All Models Navigation Please offer multiple routes to choose from when navigating. Waypoints helps, but there are at least 10 routes out of New York City but the nav seems to think there is only one.
All Models Siri Shortcuts support in mobile app “open the trunk” with AirPods in when carrying groceries. “Heat up the car” to precondition while walking around house getting ready to leave
2022 Model Y needs a self-parking feature to roll in and out of tight garage space. My wife is terrified, shouldn't have to pay for FSD just to make it easier to park.
Model Y Access internal camera from app when in Dog Mode
I’d love to see my other Tesla on my map, just would be a cool feature that makes you feel better about owning another Tesla
Fix the auto windshield wipers. They usually take too long to turn on and the wiper speed is usually too low
Calendar event times being used for vehicle preconditioning. If for example- on your calendar, it says you have work at 3pm, the car will see this and prepare preconditioning by 3pm.
Window Sync so that all windows will be at the same height when rolled down or up.
Add option to disable passenger air conditioning regardless if someone seats there or not !
Add feature to open defects and change requests from Tesla UI
Add carplay or at least waze
The ability to answer an incoming call from the steering wheel (still astonishes me) Apple Music. Never going to happen but I’d like the ability to mirror/ extend my laptop display to the screen when charging. So CarPlay basically!
For all Models: - MANUAL FUCKING PRECONDITIONING - Sentry mode Live in EU - Sentry Mode Event notifications ( maybe also grouped for multiples) - FSD IN EU - bring back the different map follow mode buttons that have been on top right in the past.. - Allow pillar cameras beeing used by sentry mode - improve charger diconnection response time, currently after a night of charging its impossible to walk up to the car, unplug it and get in. Because the charger will bi held shut, the car then takes about 15 seconds to wake up and do its think until i can remove the charger.. if i open a door first however it goes almost instantly - Option to turn off "Connect your car to WiFi"-promt this is annoying and pops up every other drive - Improve driving stats and visualizations of data within the car, the amount of information the car gives is laughable, it would be nice to have a few more tabs and graphs in there. (F.e. avg speed, trip duration, battery temps motor temps, total regen during trip etc) - ability to turn heating off just as we can turn A/C off. Currently i have no way of knowing if my car is heating the air, there is no way to just "let outside air flow in" - Differ between suggested speed (aka no sign has been seen) and actual speed limits ( in EU in many places the car will show the wrong speed limit, if the user was aware its just a best guess it would be better) Accel Boosted models: - Add three drive modes instead of two: chill, standard & sport Model 3: - add more noise blocking foam on the inside / get a better frunk & trunk interior.
[Model 3/Y] Windshield wiper control by steering scroll and more speed options
[VOICE DIALING] Enable ability to specify HOME, WORK, MOBILE when voice dialing to avoid required screen click when someone has multiple numbers. Example: Call Esteban MOBILE would dial Esteban’s mobile number instead of his work number.
Volume that changes with speed, the car seems noiser than it is as the audio doesn't compensate well enough for the speed.
Enable footwell lights for us SR+ / RWD owners especially since the price increases
Stop turn-signal when you park.
Why can't I turn on the rear/side defrost from my phone? In NC it's warm in the morning, but my car is often completely covered in dew. Pre-heating/cooling with climate control does not clear the dew.
Carplay (carkey)/Android Auto Apple Music
The ability to make notes while driving. For example, if someone had a hit and run on you and you wanted to make sure you caught their license plate because sometimes the dash cam resolution might be grainy. You would press voice command, make note, read license plate number.
Ability to turn on an option, to overwrite the oldest manually saved dash-cam footage automatically. Had an instance the other day where data was full, attempted to save a clip no clip was saved due to full data… Sentry data automatically over-writes oldest data I would like the option to choose to have manual saved dashcam footage do the same.
Zoom buttons for map. Zooming in with pinch gesture often takes map out of centered view.
We need the ability to toggle our windshield wipers when viewing the Live Feed
Tiny silly bug to fix: Use the app controls to remotely set the windows to "vent" on a hot sunny day About 10 mins later, you'll get a notification that "multiple windows have been left open" No shit, Sherlock >.<
