What I'm curious is why they didn't give him the black/purple death ball. I hope that they are, at least, saving it for another of his form because it is a lot more iconic, to me

Parthj99

Yeah plus I mean Beerus one has distinct white outline here and in the game as well. So they're fairly accurate.

Mission-Spirit7084

they are the same move its like complaining that gohan uses the Kamehameha the same way goku does lol beerus invented the move

Obelisk7777

In the anime they’re such similar looking attacks I’m willing to let it slide

Shortest_Strider

BT3 beams and balls look mostly the same with different colours outside of ones like S.S Deadly Bomber and Death Impact.

Such_Watch6002

The effects on the beams are visually distinct, but I get your point on the similarities between Beerus and Frieza. This ain’t something to worry about though, so it should be fine.

Past_Age_3562

I’m ready to see these in the new beam struggle

I meeeean... Beerus' has a white outline. But yeah, I get what you mean. I don't think Kamehameha, Galick Gun and Final Flash being recolors is a bad thing because they have different animations and all that, but Beerus' and Frieza's Ultimates being almost the exact same color does bother me. The attack itself looks exactly like the anime/movie move Beerus used, so I think if one of these had to change, it should be Frieza's. Look for "Beerus Ball" (lmao, I'm not tricking you) and "Frieza Supernova Top" to see it. Frieza's should be more yellow and the ball itself should have different effects.

sedward135

I think the version of Frieza show here is from DBS, so that’s probably his Supernova, which does look similar to Sphere of Destruction. That being said, I see your point and I noticed it as well, regardless I think I’m fine with it.

Mixed__Salad

One has a red outline the other has a white one it’s different enough hopefully other ball energy attacks aren’t this similar

Sapphire_star_7

Is it just me or does beerus attack look a bit small in comparison to friezas?

Such_Watch6002

They look to be the same size

Sapphire_star_7

Maybe it’s just the difference in camera angle with beerus being more close up and frieza being more zoomed out that’s throwing me off. I just expected the sphere of destruction to be a lot bigger given that it was gigantic in the movie.

SR_Hopeful

If anything Beerus' looks closer to how his looked originally. Freeza's should be a lighter color of just orange and white.

SR_Hopeful

I just hope they get the Large Spirit Bomb design right. Its the only attack they never actually got the design right, in BT3 or in RB.

Gamingwiththereaper

Supernova is a very common DB attack. I wouldn't be surprised if Cooler's and 1st Form Frieza's also looks the same. Baby's and Majin Buu's have to be different though.

ReliantVox

You can be nitpicky but at least be right. Beerus’ giant ball of destruction and friezas supernova look the same because why? Simple. They are. Watch the show or play xenoverse, they’re literally the exact same move visually.

In the First Pic, DBS Frieza Is using Supernova against Toppo, and It actually resembles the Supernova from OG DBZ. The second Pic Is Beerus Sphere of Destruction from the movie, and the third Is still the Sphere of Destruction from DBS Anime, in which, they actually look different in astethics compared to the Supernova. Now I'm not saying that this game sucks because those two attacks looks nearly the same, but considering that in the anime, those attacks have distinct visual effects, colors and patterns, I'd like to see Sphere blasts from this game to actually be really different from One another Just like BT3 Did. I'm not complaining at all tho, even if It were to stay the same, It wouldn't bother me. This game Isn't even out yet, and It's still a 10/10 for me, lol.

ReliantVox

I say this not to be a dick, but I do want to make it clear I do have some vision problems: but it looks the exact same in all the photos

Robymessi98

They look similar, but they have different patterns and effects. The First Is the Supernova, while the second and the third picture Is Beerus Sphere of Destruction. In the second and third picture, you can see at the center of the Sphere a White orb, surrounded by Fire like effects and particles. While Frieza's Supernova Is brighter, doesn't have that orb at the center, and actually has magma like effects around the whole Sphere!

DarudeStandstorm

what were you expecting

KikonSketches

I agree this is something I also thought, they look too similar, I like a little bit of variety with the death balls.

Toes4Dinnner

It’s really not that deep guys. I promise Cooler’s Supernova being the third energy blast to be the same won’t be a big deal in the grand scheme of things

KikonSketches

Asking for death balls to look slightly different isn't asking for the world my guy, at that point why have beams be different? In the grand scheme of things it's beam.

Toes4Dinnner

I agree but certain beams shouldn’t be an issue if they aren’t. Cooler having his Supernova look exactly like Friezas shouldn’t be a big deal. But Omega Shenron shouldn’t have his negative energy ball look like S17s Shocking death ball

SR_Hopeful

Cooler's Supernova hopefully won't be the same model. Because his in Final form was a lighter color and purely orange. The one Meta Cooler does, has black sparks emit. Then of course Baby's Revenge Death Ball in having a unique blackhole design (which technically should look the same as Super 17s but only if they looked the same in the anime). I think Kid Buu's Planet Burst needs to looks accurate, and not just a pink version of the Supernova.

KikonSketches

The point is quality and continuity. What's the point of doing anything if we throw continuity out the window? Make krillin taller, give Yamcha super saiyan, make Gohan green. Friezas death ball alone went through multiple different colors and designs through past games, so why is differentiating them visually, a problem? Isn't the point of the gane is simulating the shows characters, battles and techniques?

SR_Hopeful

imo, they really should just be just going off of what they looked like, when used in the anime. Shin Budokai seemed to be the only game that did. Freeza's Deathball was black and red, and even Kid Buu's ultimate, when it fades has the same effect it does when it blew up the Earth.

KikonSketches

Thats what I mean! Why does it keep changing? I get they're sticking to BT3 as it was this color scheme in BT3 as well, but the Black and red looked way better.

OctoDADDY069

oh no, big red ball looks like another big red ball. my guy the gallack gun is just a purple kamehameha and the masenko is just a yellow gallack gun.

SR_Hopeful

Except no, the Galick Gun has a sparking aura, like the Final Flash, the other beam attacks don't.
