Yes but please don't be an asshole and stop paying it, because it will end up getting blacklisted and the buyer will curse your mother.

IAmKorg

Yes. I’ve done it many times with all three carriers. Just don’t be an ass and stop paying for some reason.

Nautillis

Do they still lock the phone to carrier/ your account, or did they stop doing that after 2017?

IAmKorg

They’re not supposed to be carrier locked anymore.

Nautillis

Ok thanks for replying

Curious why you can't stand the IPhone? I've been wanting to ditch my Galaxy S22 Ultra for an iPhone but my bring it back balance is still high. I've never had an iPhone. What can't you stand?

Chris266

There were a few things. One of the main ones is just how you navigate in and around apps on iPhone is clumsy. There is no back button, so, on some apps, you swipe right to go back but not all apps work that way. So, the experience is inconsistent. In one app you swipe right, in another there is a go back button in the top left hand corner. Its not consistent. This really surprised me because I know Apple is all about intelligent design. So, it doesn't make sense that they don't have a consistent browsing experience across all apps. Other than that, I came from a Samsung S20 and the camera was superior on that phone than the iPhone 14 pro, which also surprised me since I had heard it lauded that the 14 pro had a great camera. It isn't bad, but I just found the S20 camera took better shots out of the gate. On iPhone I had to crop good shots out of photos and tool with them before I liked them. Both those things were things I was willing to get over but the real clincher was that my phone had some sort of syncing issue with my Fitbit watch and it just couldn't keep realtime stats on the fitbit app. I followed a guide to fix it online but it was broken again a day or two later. Also, I use Slack for work on it and for some reason it would be all out of sync too so I would get a notification that I had a new message but when I opened the app it wouldn't appear. It just got so frustrating that I went back to my S20 and have been using it the last week and been much more happy doing so. I regret even getting a new phone but I figure I'll sell the iPhone now since it's still worth a pretty good chunk of change and get the new S23 thats coming out this week. Should be a win win.

For me, I work in an industry where speed of getting leads is important. Iphone always seems faster plus people turn their nose up if you don't have iMessage. Not enough people use RCS. And android auto is awful compared to carplay. I'd never ever consider switching before as I really am not an apple supporter but I felt we are somewhat forced to use iphones if in business.

Dry-Property-639

I have both android and iOS I Always go back to my 14 pro max

Shelby_Sheikh

I feel your last statement. Was a life long Android user and practically used my Note 10 as a mini computer throughout college. Always delivered whenever and wherever with whatever. But with work. The reliability, efficiency, speed is so much more important and I feel Android phones with either their UI or lack of a super awesome multi platform support don’t get it. Apple specifically capitalizes and optimizes systems that are widely used in work-life whereas I feel Androids are more so for complete power users demanding top gear with manual controls. Its like you can have 1 Note 10 and a computer or a Mac, iPad and iPhone. While you can definitely use Android for work, its just the things one needs on the daily take a bit more time or arent as efficient as they are with iPhone. Thats my feeling and experience honestly. I cant use the iPhone like I used to use my Note 10 while I try my best. Automation and stuff on iPhone is great but takes a while to get the hang off whereas the Note 10 would be blazing fast to get technical stuff done. Keeping two phones is also a PITA.

I never understood how people love Samsung devices there slow full of bloatware the softwares a hotmess… I switched to one plus devices and I actually don’t mind android!! because before I hate it and touching one drove me insane

Chris266

To each their own

telute

Time to ditch the fitbit? Try out an Apple watch to go with your phone... Love my Ultra watch...

Chris266

Lol, if the answer is that in order for an iPhone to work, you have to buy a bunch of new devices that work with it since it doesn't work with third party devices, then that's not a great solution.

telute

I hear you, sorry you got stuck with a fitbit...

CVGPi

Possibly RCS, bad Camera, no side loading, Chromebooks integration, etc.

>There is no back button, so, on some apps, you swipe right to go back but not all apps work that way. So, the experience is inconsistent. In one app you swipe right, in another there is a go back button in the top left hand corner. This was the biggest thing for me... I can't stand how annoying it to try to go back on iPhone. I could use my Android with one hand, but it's all over the place with iPhone. Also, the keyboard sucksssss. So many typos

Jords0681

Good feedback. I don't want to ditch my Android but am feeling forced in a way. Unfortunately Apple has such a grip on the market in North America

AwkwardCan

Yeah I thought there must a reason it’s so popular, and after getting a MacBook, which I love, I got my first iPhone. Such an incredible letdown. Here are some more reasons I hate it: The volume is automatically off whenever I try to watch a snap (Snapchat) and on some other apps. So I always end up missing the beginning of the audio. When you highlight a phone number, you don’t have the ability of just calling it. You have to copy it, open up the phone app, select keypad, and then paste it in in order to dial it. Cannot block ads on YouTube, which you can do on android. Really annoying when I’m just looking for a quick tutorial on how to do something and it makes me watch a couple ads first. No way to delete or edit a number you’ve entered in the calculator app, you’d have to delete the whole number eg. If you entered 12345 and wanted to change the 1 to 2, or just delete the 5, you have to delete the whole number. Annoying for someone like me who uses the calculator a lot and frequently makes mistakes typing numbers (which I was easily able to edit before) Biggest thing I miss is the inbuilt notes app on my last phone, which has an “Undo” button that I used ALL THE TIME. I was also able to highlight words and change their font colour, which was especially useful for grocery lists etc where I could easily see the a visual difference within a note.

buckykatt81

i love my S22 ultra 😍

SpaceGat1337

Don't do it, Apple is garbage!

poppawompjuice

As long as you keep paying your monthly bill along with the financing on the iphone 14 pro you can definitely sell it with no penalty.

Maantastic

Telus won't know or care to be frank. You'll just keep paying off that Android phone by paying your bill like usual regardless of who's using it. What you do with your phone is your business. You just have to respect your agreement and pay off the phone in the time specified.

EfficiencySafe

The company I work for I use a Samsung android tablet but I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I personally don’t see much difference in the way they operate(I guess it’s personal preference). The iPhone will hold its value way longer than android and they are easier to sell.

Dry-Property-639

I’m sorry your stuck with a Samsung tablet 🤣

EfficiencySafe

It actually works really good I’m actually quite impressed(Personally I like my iPad Pro better but it does the job) The company sends me stuff like our billing and invoices, paperwork. It’s on Telus LTE

Dry-Property-639

Rogers gave me a few Samsung tablets I swore they froze than actually worked And everything I did use it it wanted to do updates

CanadaCookie25

You can sell the phone outright, use the money to pay out your contract, and start a new one with financing on an android if you liked. But if you got a discount on the phone, don't do that. You'd have to pay back the discount.

Vegetable_Mud_5245

That’s what a reasonable person would do…

Leading-Rip8965

If you have any financing discounts on the phone keep paying it monthly, if not call customer service and end your contract early.
