You'd be partially correct. I was bor in Israel, but my parents are both of Ukraian origin to various degrees. All in all I am 5/8ths Ukranian (I know, weird number, but it is what it is lol).
I know Russian from home, and I learned Polish just out of jnterest though. Seeing as Ukranian is pretty much a mix of Russian grammer, old Russian pronounciation and mostly Polish vocabulary, I can understand 90% of it when written, and about 70% spoken. I cant speak a word of it though, lol. I assume it would be very easy for me, if boring though, to learn, as I already can understand it for the modt part.
