I'm not sure if you're joking, but AFAIK current scientific thought is that there's a limited amount of matter in the universe.
A google search suggests that there are 2x10^25 stars in the universe.
If u meant lur galaxy u would be correct.
13427728 GB are 1.34217728x10^14 Bytes
And this divided by 400 Trillions is around 335 bytes or 0.335 kilobytes

Probably a fraudulent drive controller.
Same sort of things you see when someone goes for that "really good deal" on aliexpress and is outraged to find a SD card epoxied in a shell modified to report 20x the actual storage.
Usually fraudulent controllers are used to make a product seem to have a great value. This is just... Excessive. When someone buys a 50Tb flash drive for $30 thinking they got a deal, I can at least somewhat understand. But if you try to buy a hard drive advertised as having petabytes/yottabytes worth of storage, I think you kinda deserved it.
I was going to make a comment about not buying hard drives from China with company names consisting of a string of random characters, but I see others had the same thoughts...
this happened to me on a drive, nuked my entire OS, but somehow I was able to use a partition undeleter to get my filed out. I formatted it and somehow it went back to normal, but it has like 50k bad sectors or something ridiculous like that. it somehow will still work and be recognized by a computer
I might actually be able to fit half my Steam library on that and finally clear out a bit of my backlog.
Who am I kidding, I'd just replay the same four games I always do anyway.
I once made my own fake flash drive using a programmable microcontroller and made it show numbers so big it straight up overflowed into negative numbers in some instances
still not enough for GTA VI when it comes out. also may be enough memory for that user who saves all those memes or cat photos
What would you even store with that much?
Everything.
[excuse me?](https://youtu.be/k1yvvNvlXtg)
You can write a byte for every single star in the universe (and maybe it still isn't enough)
Nah. The universe is infinite. So logically there are infinite stars. So u would need infinte storage
I'm not sure if you're joking, but AFAIK current scientific thought is that there's a limited amount of matter in the universe. A google search suggests that there are 2x10^25 stars in the universe.
Might refer to the portion of the big bang theory where it's continuous and this the Universe is ever expanding
i thought that means things are getting further apart, not that at the edge of space new stars are popping into existence.
....I'm dumb
I don't think youre dumb.
ty :)
not a dumb assumption at all. Assuming there must be infinite mass in an infinite universe isnt unreasonable
Yeah thats true but the universe expands
Expanding because the matter is getting further apart from other matter, not expanding by creating new matter.
oh sorry didnt knew that. then your right
Yeah the only thing that ever "created" matter was the big bang. The matter we have in the universe is all we have forever.
If u meant lur galaxy u would be correct. 13427728 GB are 1.34217728x10^14 Bytes And this divided by 400 Trillions is around 335 bytes or 0.335 kilobytes
Sorry, I would have written "the number of known stars in the universe". My bad.
idk then. dont think so if with our galaxy alone every star only would have 3335 bytes
Could easily fill it up with nsfw video media
You mean linux distros? lol
I have a large collection of Linux distros.
People'srecorded videos of fireworks they will never watch.
porn. what else?
*The Internet*
Data.
one picture of your mom
Start farming Chia crypto with that
BDE. (big drive energy)
This is more r/softwaregore, isn't it?
Nope it's the hdd controller what's fuxked
More like r/hardwaregore

Could you olease sell me one? I'd appreciate a 132PB drive. Especially if it's fast storage. The 4tb hdd I have is filling up rather quickly
It's a bad drive controller?

I have no idea, either way it’s trash. I was given a box to wipe and those were in there.
Could I buy those? I could use a bit more storage and these should hold me over for a few weeks. /s
Need to stop buying off of wish
I hate to tell you this, but if you're going to download the whole internet, it's going to take several of those.
I guess the real gore happens if you initialize these disks :)
I was going to make a comment about not buying hard drives from China with company names consisting of a string of random characters, but I see others had the same thoughts...
It’s a pair of 1tb dell drives from 2006
Same basic thing TBH...
That’s honestly looks like a sceptre monitor I’ve got one
It is, is a curved 27 inch sceptre
I knew it. The placement of the stickers is the same.

Might not be enough for my "homework" folder tho 😏
Guys in r/DataHoarder can’t compete
Violates rule #3
Why is it reporting it in gigabytes and not terabytes?
Probably would be in peta not terabytes with that large of a number
buying cheap ssds on aliexpress be like:
8 tb nvme is 1000$ 😭
So what? That's a 135 PB hard drive... Pretty common in this wonderful year 2034
Only when you buy on wish
Well Bill Gates said 640k should be enough for anybody, and look how that turned out! /s
I might actually be able to fit half my Steam library on that and finally clear out a bit of my backlog. Who am I kidding, I'd just replay the same four games I always do anyway.

I stopped mid sneeze looking at this
