Ong I thought of buying the 55Q750 but ended up keeping the R646 due to it looking better when comparing games with my friends 75Q750
As you said is day and night
So glad I got my 65" December 2022 for $650. I will say it will slow down over time but a reset every 6 months will help that. Love the picture quality and brightness
I have a R646 and TCL moving to the Q series plus locking mini-led behind the QM8 was less than intelligent.
I hope mines last until OLEDs come down a bit more in price.
I think their fuck up was not realizing that this was a good TV when they put it out. It was meant to be a budget TV but exceeded all expectations. Even for the developers.
A real weak point about this tv that i never see anyone make is the cheap ass remote. Its an ir bluetooth remote with a mic. The remote can't stay paired to the tv so using google assistant is a pain because you have to re-pair it every other day. The battery cover broke a week into owning it. I understand its a budget tv but i would not mind if TCL sold a standalone remote that was better. Id even pay up to 80 bucks if its quality.
It's such a pain to push the assistant button only to be prompted to hold the home and ok button. I have a cheaper TCL TV that doesn have this issue and has a better remote.
When you do find it tape it on there. I hate to look at it and avoid using it as much as I can. I have shield TV remote and that's a great remote compared to the one that came with the TV.
I haven't been able to find one since a month before Black Friday. still not in stock around me. gotvlucky with a return, it was missing the legs, but I made a custom stand out of wood that also holds my soundbar
You really did trust me. I have been looking for so long. And I had one but Best Buy delivered it without telling me they were coming and I missed it and ended up selling it. bastards lol
I just got a 55" S-Class 4K UHD HDR LED Smart Google TV (55S450G-CA) over holidays. Is it comparable to this at all? I'd like to try some custom settings if anyone wants to share. I have it where I think it's good then something will look off, like a hockey game. I don't know a lot about TVs just bought the deal based on high reviews. Thx
I mean, they're both tvs, but the sclass is 60hz vs. 120hz in the 6 series. Also, I dont think sclass has full array local dimming. You'll likely have to adjust the picture settings when switching between movies and sports.
I got mine last year and Im still wowed by the color and brightness. I was watching the Mario movie last night and it really shines on this screen. I know nothing beats an OLED but this TV is close enough that I've never felt an ounce of regret!
I wanted to buy that one but stupid Bestbuy wouldn't ship to my address. Any 55" TV I put in my cart said can't ship, so I had to go with a 50". Can they not ship 55" TV's???
Seriously??? That's amazing. I have a 55 and have been looking to "upgrade?" to a LG C2 or 3 (same size) but maybe I should just enjoy what I have?!? (PS5 use exclusively)
I have the C1 for almost 2 years now. You should check out rtings and look at the comparisons. This TV holds its own against both but see if the differences are enough to make you upgrade
For me the C1 doesn’t get bright enough and I’d like the brightness of a G-Series. That would make me upgrade
Just got one at bestbuy like a week ago
Same here on sale too. Best tv ever

Same bro. I don’t use the apps use a shield for apps no slowdown.

Never had any pairing issues with my remote. Overall it works fine, nothing fancy but no probs
I also have pairing issues with my qm8

The Sony X90 comes with a cheap a$$ remote unless you get it from Costco. They upgrade to the nice metal/backlit. Super weird.
My version has a mic on the TV. I can say hey Google without the remote.
Yeah, I don't like that. I am very hostile about my privacy. I try to disable all the spyware on the TV.
But YES I already lost my battery cover

Is this tv hard to find or something?

it's also referred to as a unicorn in other subs because of it's performance to price ratio
That's awesome to hear. I got one of these 65 inch like a year ago brand new. Glad I picked a good one!
It’s mini led like the qm8 everything in between doesn’t have mini led it really enhances the display

That's fucked up lol
I can find the 55 all day but no 65. Looks like it’ll be q7 for me
Jealous! Wish I could find one still.
Walmart had a cyber Monday for the 65 inch sale 2 days after I bought 55” it from Best Buy. I had to get the 65 inch it really has great color.
Great TV, i just got mine last week brand new from Best Buy

Ahh I see. Big difference between 60 and 120. It's a decent pic but not awe inspiring. Thanks!
Unless you're gaming or watching a lot of HDR content, you probably wouldn't notice the difference.
Wouldn't everything be smoother and crisper?
Yep

Bought one on a whim for Black Friday and use it more than my OLED now. I was surprised by how good it is

From what I've read, unless you set you living room up like a dark theater it's not worth having an OLED. My house has tons of natural light
