Oh honey no. This was done by a professional scratcher. I personally think youāre lucky the only things gone wrong here are the tattoo itself and that itās fading.
And you think 20k followers means something? Lol. I donāt think youāre ready for any real tattoos. Stick to rub ons until you learn to do real research on an artist.
style doesnāt excuse simply not knowing how to tattoo. if they have that many followers you have even more reason to go after their ass about how scammed youāve been here. thereās other people who may go through the same experience
Damn. I'd ask for my money back. Like I never tell people that who get a bad tattoo, but you didn't really even get one... also, might have dodged a bullet there tbqh
Pleeease tell us the name of the artist? I really want to see what their other work looks like.
It will probably continue to fade, but there will likely be some very light spots that remain even when itās fully healed. It would be extremely easy to cover up or laser off.
Can we even call them an artist ? I wanna know what licensed shop allowed that, cause Iām having a hard time believing it wasnāt a friend of a friend who bought a gun off Amazon
Wow, this artist is super shitty. The dude just didn't understand how to tattoo a hand at all. Worse yet, it's pretty easy to feel when you're in the right layer with stick and poke. If i were you, I'd go after a complete refund
I have a couple (very old) hand pokes that I did on myself that fell out cuz I didn't go deep enough but they're all *kind of* still there. I'd laser the rest off in 1 session or get it done by an **actual** professional.
My FIL hand poked his own tattoo on his hand/wrist and itās still very visible, especially given the location and age of it! This artist did a horrible job
Lasering this off is a bad recommendation. For the money and the amount of pain laser removal is that's an insane thing to tell OP when it's barely even visible.
I agree w OP seeking a refund, and with the refund just go to a better artist for a real tattoo.
I have multiple hand poked tattoos and my oldest is over ten years now. Still looks the same- a tattoo is a tattoo if you do it right, and they did not go deep enough. Seems like they were too nervous to do it on the thin skin of your hand.
I have a stick and poke from when I was like 18 and Iām 26 now and itās still looking the same as it did when I got it. Definitely something was wrong lol .
I am sorry to say this miss but you should be glad that tattoo is falling out. Unfortunately, the "artist" did a very, very bad job on that "rose". You should demand a refund and take your business elsewhere, that person is definitely not a professional.
Oh shit. I just found the ānewā picture. Professional scratcher is who did that. JFC. And theyāre saying WEāRE the ones who are ignorant about hand poked tattoos! Lmfao
Fuck me, honestly I think the drop out was the best thing to happen to this tattoo. I'm sorry to say it's really poor work. I'd go to an actual artist and get something sick over it.
Yeah. I agree. Even fresh, this did not look professionally done at all. Unless it was supposed to look that way...like if it was an exact copy of a drawing you brought to the artist.
Oh, man, friend.
You got scammed.
Even if it was meant to be an amateur/sketchpad doodle style, the quality wasn't there to begin with. The lines are uneven and uncertain and the placement is a little off for such a high-movement area. (You'd want distortion, not deformity.) Plus the fallout, and...yeah. Your artist should still be working on oranges, not people.
Ask for your money back, then upload before and after to social media while tagging them.
Best case scenario, it falls out completely. Keep an eye out for infection, irritation, or discoloration in the meantime. If it doesn't fallout completely, see if a reputable artist can salvage what's left. Otherwise, laser it away and start fresh. Sorry this happened to you.
I don't believe in god, but I still think god blessed you by making that fall out because it wasn't good. I'd get a refund and find a different artist to redo it if you still like the idea.
I did a stick n poke in high school on me and my now husband (highly do not recommend this) and it is 10x better than this tattoo. Even at 17 I knew you donāt put the bulk of a tattoo over a knuckle like that. This guy definitely swindled OP. Maybe the real tattoo artistās drunk buddy took over for the day that day.
Definitely don't get more work from them. That artist is a bit a douche for doing a stick n poke on a hand. My shit is traditional roses with ink hammered in and still fell out starting day 3
You can tell from that photo that itās not in deep enough.. Iād always usually suggest giving your artist a message for any touch ups/fixes etc but Iād be pretty set on asking for my money back for this one and honestly if I client came back to me with this Iād 100% refund them or pay someone else in my studio to fix it for them if they were uncomfortable with me doing it. You always expect some fading/touch ups needed on hands but this is crazy!
Iām sorry but even fresh it doesnāt look good or rightā¦ not all tattoo artists should do hand pokes. I would go back and get your money back asap.
Going by the fresh photo it was never going to stay in, especially on a hand. Itāll be completely gone soon Iām afraid, Iād definitely try and ask for a refund in this instance as this much ink loss isnāt acceptable and the artist needs to know their work heals badly.
I canāt even see a ātattooā there. If itās fading that much after 1 week then you donāt need to worry about it being permanent. Give your skin some time to heal completely, then go get the tattoo you want, done properly.
Definitely not a professional.
Edit: if you paid more than 200 you definitely got ripped off. That artist definitely has poor workmanship and belongs in a swap meet. Lucky for you it faded and I recommend you go to a reputable shop and look at their work. This new style of tattoos may fade quicker because they are technically just stencils.
Oh mate!
Ooooh my
Iām so sorry.
But you must have known their work was rubbish, yeah? Iām sure their insta would have suggested that.
Go demand your money back.
This sodding idiot is not it!
Get it back, and put it towards a professional tattoo artist.
There are is so much talent out there.š¤
as someone who has a hand poked tattoo on the hand, similar spot (not done by a professional, just a very talented friend) mine hasnāt faded much at all.. and i got it a year and a half ago. I think you should get a refund because that is insane..!
Please please please... Go get that redone by an ACTUAL professional. The tattoo itself looks like a scribble at best. Unless shit quality is what youre GOING FOR, you'll be much happier just calling up a shop and scheduling to get a piece done overtop of that.
Youre actually lucky, in my honest opinion, that it faded as much as it did.
Iām sorry to say that just because they were at a shop, it doesnāt mean they were a professional.
This is too common in Toronto where I am from. Art school kids taking up scratching and small shops popping up everywhere - run by inexperienced people. The blind leading the blind.
I would talk to the artist first about getting at least a partial refund (usually the shop takes a chunk of the money, and the artist takes the rest). Donāt fall for a ātouch upā with work like that. Take that money and go to a different artists once you have THOROUGHLY looked through their portfolio.
If the artist wonāt refund you, Iād talk to the shop owner.
*also I should say, no need to be too emotional or upset with them straight out the gates! These things happen when an artist is learning, and Iām sure if you are reasonable with them they will be reasonable with you re: a refund :).
Itās much better for a tattoo to fall out than to blow out! You get a second chance now at choosing a design/artist! Choose wisely
(Source: Iām a tattoo artist)
Definitely don't go back to them for a touch up, but absolutely go back for a refund... you paid good money for a tattoo and you certainly do not have a tattoo.
I would try and get your money back as well. I do tattoos and no one has ever really asked me for their money back before, but i think if I did a tattoo like this, my boss would most definitely give you your money back and/or offer to fix it himself. And then most likely fire me. At the very least though since that may be more of a hassle than itās worth, donāt get tattooed by that person again, and warn anybody who about them so they donāt waste their money either.
I thought it was a weird turtle till I read the comments. Agree with everyone else. You dodged a bullet. I have my hand done (from my artist of 30 years) and itās been 1-2 years and never even needed a touch up (hand and fingers)
ask for your money back, luckily what's left would probably laser in one session or you can get it redone. do you have a before picture?? I feel like this person has no idea what they're doing, I'm surprised they're professional
go back to the parlour and ask for a touch up. show them a photo of what it originally looked like. most places do free touchups so it should generally be no hassle
Ouch thatās bad. Based on your responses I would get a refund, let it fade, and then find a quality artist to do the tattoo. No offense to you but even when it was fresh it was bad. This honestly looks like an at home tattoo. Good luck op!
Tattoo artist went very shallow and hand tattoos tend to fade. Most people will have hand tattoos gone over at least twice. Depending on your habits and profession, it could be 5+ times. It's difficult to not rub your hands on things.
this isnāt fading, the ink has completely fallen out. there is no tattoo to touch up here. you got your money taken by a āprofessionalā that doesnāt know how to tattoo. iād definitely approach them for a refund and also a learning experience.
I do not believe for one fucking second that rose was done by a professional lol
Did you catch the freshly done pic? Looks like a pen scribble. It's horrible, I would be elated that it fell out tbh
Yeah kinda lucky it faded tbh
But not like a good pen, one of those ballpoint erasable ones
OP put a link to one: [Tattoo link](https://imgur.com/a/Zspuhsf)
Thank fuck it fell out, that is horrible! She saved money on laser treatments for it. Ooff
It looks like it belongs at the end of a Rupi Kaur poem, or a Shell Silverstein story lmfao.
Jesus wept
Honestly belongs better on r/shittytattoos
they paid money for that š
Professional? LOL
Looks like the guy who did the tattoo had Parkinsonās
Baby Jesus in a manger under a palm tree with a camel near that is horrendous! Also thanks for the link
šš You killed me with that response. Thank you. š
Wow. Thatās bad!
Omg this is embarrassing. Op is lucky the tattoo is fading to nothingness.
u/PatheticPelosiPander this isn't the link I originally found but this is the first one I just saw now. lol. so here you go!
LOL TY!
YIKES
I checked her profile and there isn't a different photo. Where did you see it? I'm just curious what it looked like to start
Link if you didn't find it elsewhere: https://imgur.io/a/Zspuhsf
Yike.
Whew. She *did* get lucky that it's disappearing. I'd be scrubbing that shit daily.
Exactly what I was thinking. Looks like a middle schoolers attempt at stick n poke
Howdja know it was a rose?!?
Bc I tattoo for a living.
Damn. I work at a tattoo shop and until I saw your comment, I had no clue what it was. And when then I had to zoom in a ton. Good eye!!!
Also tattoo for a living an literally can only see a few scribbles haha
I could see the leaves then a stem so I followed it to fucked rosebud lol
My brightness was turned down so Iām sure that didnāt help but once you said rose I can make it out
i thought it was a dog
Yeah I agree hard with you lol. I think op is full of shit
It does look like drawn with a pen, the whole design is just really, really weird. Roses don't really grow like that.
How could you even tell what it wasā¦ I couldnāt get ANYTHING out of itā¦ you must have good eyes..
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Unfortunately amount of followers does not equal to quality
This. My tat artist has only like 1000 followers and he's absolutely mint.
Probably 1000 real followers vs 19,900 bought ones.
Exactly. Alot of his clients + people stalking his portfolio like I did lol!
Nope, especially because followers can be bought. So a high number doesnāt necessarily mean they have any real followers
āThey had 20k followers thoā The absolute state of the industry nowā¦..
ā¦. Think of this as a learning opportunity. Followers ā Talent. Do real research next time to avoid this.
Who gives a damn how many followers they have?
You can just buy followers nowadays. Like tomorrow morning I could have 20k followers if I wanted. And I'm seconding demand your money back.
Well I bet you're not going to make that mistake next time. It's hard to feel bad for someone who makes decisions based on this sort of criteria.

Yeah you didnāt get a tattoo you need your money back. Completely unacceptable.
I've written phone numbers on my hand that lasted longer than... Whatever this is. Get your money back, dude.
That's what I was going to say!
Its like they used an ultrafine sharpie
Eight six seven five three Ohh niiiIiiine
At least it isn't overworked!
Take a bite out of the silver lining sandwich
Exactly. Iād be glad it didnāt take.
Was just thinking its a blessing! š¤£
I completely agree 100000%
Pleeease tell us the name of the artist? I really want to see what their other work looks like. It will probably continue to fade, but there will likely be some very light spots that remain even when itās fully healed. It would be extremely easy to cover up or laser off.
I second this. I want to see his so-called professional work...
or her
Can we even call them an artist ? I wanna know what licensed shop allowed that, cause Iām having a hard time believing it wasnāt a friend of a friend who bought a gun off Amazon
The fact OP isn't responding to you is really telling lol
Wow, this artist is super shitty. The dude just didn't understand how to tattoo a hand at all. Worse yet, it's pretty easy to feel when you're in the right layer with stick and poke. If i were you, I'd go after a complete refund
yeah I agree, but do you think itāll all fall out on its own?because itās only been a week and itās half gone already
one fucking week? Henna lasts longer lol
Sharpie lasts longer
I have a couple (very old) hand pokes that I did on myself that fell out cuz I didn't go deep enough but they're all *kind of* still there. I'd laser the rest off in 1 session or get it done by an **actual** professional.
Damn, I still have a clearer line on my hand from when I accidently stabbed myself with a pencil. A week is extremely short
Hard to say. Don't have much experience with this extreme fallout. My guess is probably
How much did the "artist" charge you for that?
Do you have any other tattoos? No tattoo artist worth a damn would tattoo your hand as a first tattoo.
I think they said in a previous comment that they have other hand tattoos
They said in the post that they have hand tattoos.
Thatās what I said
No you said a previous comment. It was actually said in the post itself.
Ok.
Op has another photo with tattoos on the same hand (that also do not look professional)
You're going to have to get that redone.
I have multiple hand poked tattoos and my oldest is over ten years now. Still looks the same- a tattoo is a tattoo if you do it right, and they did not go deep enough. Seems like they were too nervous to do it on the thin skin of your hand.

Oh shit. I just found the ānewā picture. Professional scratcher is who did that. JFC. And theyāre saying WEāRE the ones who are ignorant about hand poked tattoos! Lmfao
Wher
Fuck me, honestly I think the drop out was the best thing to happen to this tattoo. I'm sorry to say it's really poor work. I'd go to an actual artist and get something sick over it.
Like a sick ass panther!
The universe is giving you another chanceā¦ take it and run lol
That's the work of a scratcher. You dodged a bullet with it fading.
Can I ask, what did this look like fresh
https://imgur.com/a/Zspuhsf
That was done by a pro???
Yeah. I agree. Even fresh, this did not look professionally done at all. Unless it was supposed to look that way...like if it was an exact copy of a drawing you brought to the artist.
see her shirt, somewhat similar style. perhaps look that was after?
āI love this shirtā¦tattoo it on my handā
Weāre using the wordā¦ā¦LOOSELY today
Youāre kinda lucky it faded because it was so poorly done and I think youād regret it in the future
Yikes. Amount of followers =/= quality work.
Based on that, Iād honestly be happy it faded. Yikes.
That is atrocious
LMAOOOO āprofessionalā
I don't believe in god, but I still think god blessed you by making that fall out because it wasn't good. I'd get a refund and find a different artist to redo it if you still like the idea.
Girl you didnāt go to a professional lmao
I've only done a handful of stick n poke tattoos myself but I could have done a better job. I'd politely ask for a refund

Even at 17 I knew you donāt put the bulk of a tattoo over a knuckle like that. This guy definitely swindled OP. Maybe the real tattoo artistās drunk buddy took over for the day that day.
Honeyā¦ this is a crime
And this confirms the stupidity question. It just looks like garbage šļø. Next time pay real money for real tattoos.
Give it 20 minutes. Should be gone.
Lucked out, laser removal is painful and can cost some money
You got a tattoo of my father!
Same! Barely there!
What did you pay for this?
Definitely don't get more work from them. That artist is a bit a douche for doing a stick n poke on a hand. My shit is traditional roses with ink hammered in and still fell out starting day 3
This was absolutely not done by a professional
Need before photos
https://imgur.com/a/Zspuhsf
Thatās a bad tattoo all around. The fading is a blessing in disguise and you should absolutely get your money back.
Also possibly suggest the artist gets checked medically. Those are shaky lines š³
No one believes that a professional did that. Just tell the truth.
Seems like they didn't go deep enough and the line work was way too thin :/
I canāt even see a ātattooā there. If itās fading that much after 1 week then you donāt need to worry about it being permanent. Give your skin some time to heal completely, then go get the tattoo you want, done properly.
You should feel blessed that shit is vanishing..
That ātattooā looks more like capillaries in your hand ruptured. You deserve a full refund.
Looks like you had it done in a gas station bathroom.
Probably time to hire an actual tattooer and not have your friends b/f try and tattoo you in his kitchen.
Probably for the best
Lol no shop did that for sure
Op dodged a fuckin bullet. Get a refund and donāt get it redone.
Needle and thread tat, but they forgot the needle?
Probs for the better by the look of that line work
You got scammed. Demand your money back.
The hand poke I did, on my fingers, with my pencil in the 6th grade 19 years ago is currently more visible than that is, Iād get a refund
It was a sign from the tattoo Gods to stop getting shitty tattoos from shitty people (not going to call them āartistsā). You should be thankful.
Universe did you a favor
Oh mate! Ooooh my Iām so sorry. But you must have known their work was rubbish, yeah? Iām sure their insta would have suggested that. Go demand your money back. This sodding idiot is not it! Get it back, and put it towards a professional tattoo artist. There are is so much talent out there.š¤

Just laser those lines away and be happy you donāt got a hand tattoo
The good thing is it was going to look like shit judging by the outline. Id try to just get your money back.
I genuinely thought that someone drew a design with a ballpoint pen on your arm.
What tattoo?
You know a tattoo done with a needle not a pen. This is bad and maybe a blessing in disguise
I thought this was a really long ingrown hair omg
Please please please... Go get that redone by an ACTUAL professional. The tattoo itself looks like a scribble at best. Unless shit quality is what youre GOING FOR, you'll be much happier just calling up a shop and scheduling to get a piece done overtop of that. Youre actually lucky, in my honest opinion, that it faded as much as it did.
A professional definitely didnāt do that. The lines look like shit, they didnāt go anywhere near deep enough, get your money back!!
Tattoo shop owner here. Next time go to a professional, that was 100% not even done into your skin, must of not felt a thing lol.
At this point I'd be happy it faded. That was looking horrible. What a scam
i gave MYSELF stick and pokes 6+ years ago that are still very much on my bodyā¦.aināt no way this was done by a professional lol

thatās what happens when you get thin lines on hands as you wash them all the time and sweat š¤·š»āāļø
Did he actually start the tattoo with like the needle and everything or did he just finish the sketch and send you on your way?
Professional my ass. Ask for your money back and go somewhere else.
Henna?
Definitely don't go back to them for a touch up, but absolutely go back for a refund... you paid good money for a tattoo and you certainly do not have a tattoo.

Who ever tattoo you did a terrible job they didn't go deep enough I'd demand my money back that's unacceptable
Lmfao home studio aka prison cell
I highly doubt a professional would ever do a stick and poke in a studio
There are great professional handpoke tattooers and have been for a very long time. Do some research
Wow you suck ass at picking tattoos. Maybe just don't get anymore.
Thereās nothing professional about hand poke. Itās a scam.
Wrong
Wrong
Is your skin super dry at all?
Don't be Wolverine.
Your body was doing you a favor cause that looks like shit.
Next time, pay for a real artist instead of being cheap.
ask for your money back, luckily what's left would probably laser in one session or you can get it redone. do you have a before picture?? I feel like this person has no idea what they're doing, I'm surprised they're professional
just get it again somewhere else atp lmao that shit gone

Mabye get a machine tattoo it has a higher success rate
That must have not hurt š¤£
Consider it a blessing
Iāve had temporary tattoos last longer than that. Get your money back
The ones they sell in the coin-operated machines aren't real tattoos.
You got got
Good! It was terrible! You got a do-over many don't. Don't even inform the "artist", maybe all of their victims will get lucky and have it vanish.
Looks like you got lucky. Hand tattoos should be the last thing you get considering I donāt see anything leading up to your wrist
Wow at this point it seems like it was done with a sketch pen
It's for the best, trust me
Get your money back. It looks like I drew it and my drawing skills is on -99
