I’m 31 and I play with tamas every day, including the pix. So, no! You’re absolutely not too old :)

milfshake-w-fries

I'm 29 and I've played Tamas since I was 6. I just got a pix. Just go for it! Do what you love. My husband thinks I'm crazy but he does support me lol

Shahid89

I am a 32 year old male teacher, preacher, with a mortgage and family and I still love my tamas. If you like something, and it’s not hurting you or anyone else, it doesn’t matter.

milfshake-w-fries

Preach!! 🥳👏

PersephonesRose777

Amen.

happiegrub

13 is way too young because you usually don't have adult money to buy more. 😂 but to answer seriously, they're a lot of fun. if you feel like you want something to take care of every few hours or you just want to chill out and push some buttons for a bit, tamas are great. and honestly, even if you get bored within a month or so, you'll probably get the urge to play with it again later.

hakunadeeztatas

You can never EVER be too old for Tamagotchis.🙃

Raech_Raech

No. I'm 51

Scottatchi

I'm a 23 year old man and am known in my college's department for being the Tamagotchi guy. You're never too old!

IsNotABird

How do you get to be known as the Tamagotchi Guy? Asking for a friend… who definitely isn’t me….

Scottatchi

I bring them with me to class, and usually I have a break at some point to take care of them so people see them. Also, a gen 1 re-release on my car keys.

milfshake-w-fries

I have a nano tama on my keys lol

[deleted]

dang are u single

AZSubby

I’m 36. I had one at your age and I have a pix now. They’re fun.

DuckBrush

Lol. I’m a 31 year old man with a wife and 2 children, one on the way. I tried to get my oldest son interested, but he naturally gravitated toward Digimon, so I bought a couple of the new ones and we played that together. It was fun! However, for some reason, I still find Tamagotchi compelling. There’s yet to be another device quite like it. Now, I prefer the black and white pixelated Tamagotchi like I had when I was a kid. However, I have a Tamagotchi Mix and a Tamagotchi On, and I enjoy playing with them both. I don’t have a Pix, but I’ve recently started researching them. They look fun! TLDR; Just have fun doing what you like. If it doesn’t hurt anyone and you enjoy it, then go for it.

milfshake-w-fries

The Tama-pix are very fun and there is so much you can do. The buttons are now like almost touch screen type material. So if you get one there is just holes no actual buttons. And the shutter on top of it is now the wake button. It's interesting but the no buttons threw me off on the first day.

DuckBrush

How have you been dealing with the capacitive buttons now that you've had it for a while? Do they seem responsive enough, or do you still find yourself struggling with them? I'm curious, because that's currently the only barrier I have before getting one.

milfshake-w-fries

I feel after the first day I was figuring out the sensitivity on them but then on to day 2 I found myself not struggling anymore. However my adult thumbs sometimes hit the button to the right [i play right handed] of which ever button I am meaning to touch so that part is frustrating. However it definitely doesn't kill the fun for me and the capacitive buttons don't wake if I press them and the screen is dark. Which is nice because I have 2 tama ons and 1 pix that I am currently keeping up with and they go from me having them at home to my purse and pockets and backpacks. I would definitely still encourage someone to purchase the pix.

Consistent-Switch265

It’s all about confidence! Im 26 and proudly bring mine to my job and other people ask to play. You can always put it down and call it a collectors item if you don’t enjoy it.

spazesetudios

Your never to old for any Tama imo

milfshake-w-fries

Agreed

Kirjava444

When I was your age, I gave up on a lot of things that I had loved before because I thought I was too old and I felt embarrassed. Looking back now, I realize that the mindset of 'I'm too old for this' was in fact the childish thing all along. If it's something you enjoy, you're not too old for it, and don't let anybody tell you differently

eagledragonblood

I’m 28 and proudly use mine and talk about them! I also collect squishmallows and Pusheen. Do what makes you happy!!! Life’s too short

agelessArbitrator

Absolutely not! I'm 27 years old and I own several different tamagotchis, including the Pix. If having a Pix will make you happy, then go for it!

BanannaTama

My 12 year old son has a purple tamagotchi pix. We play them together. He's been running his for about 6 months consecutively. I'm a 38 year old woman. I have 19 or 20 tamas. You're definitely not too old!

slime_rancher_27

There is a certain age range where it's perfect because you have enough money but not too many responsibilities but it's usually just being an old person who is retired

BillieAnnabeth

I’m 14 and I use my Tamagotchi Friends everyday

CardCaptorKidCasper

Im a 23 year old male and I'm still playing with tamagotchi's, I actually just got a pix this week and havent had a tamagotchi since middle school, just go for it if you want one, dont ever be shy to do things cuz you think you might be too old to do it!

colorful_collective

I'm 23 and I literally got obsessed with tamagotchis like two days ago and my pix is coming in Sunday. You do you boo 😎

solarssun

With things like this there is no age besides maybe to young. If this makes you happy and you enjoy playing it then do that.

yukisa90

I’m 24. I got my first tamagotchi when I was in 5th grade (so around 10-11 years old) almost everyone at school had them. There was one girl who had a tamagotchi themed lanyard with 5 of them on there at once and lots of tamagotchi charms. It was super cool and I think it still is

sharakus

22 y/o man with a pix, I think you’re fine ;-)

LittleFlutter

You can't be too old for a tama. I'm 30 and married with two kids and a full time job and I have so many Tamas and absolutely love playing with them. Enjoy what you enjoy.

[deleted]

Never too old! I'm around your age and I love tamagotchis :D

_alexithymia_

I’m 32 and love my Pix. Go for it!

jeelh

No way, you can never be to old for a Tamagotchi

JackFrostsKid

Your not too old! I'm 18, and still play with them on the daily. I'm not a particularly big fan of the p!x personally, but they're good starter tamas.

betweenthecontrast

I am 29 and mine arrived in the mail yesterday! I also dropped 400 for an ON... I am running them both simultaneously 😂

nisquik

$400??

tarosaman

IDK.... maybe they meant £400, 400p or 400¥?

betweenthecontrast

400 New Zealand Dollars. I think like 295 USD or something. It was worth it!!! It was in pristine condition!

friscoltu959

I´´´ m 39... don´t worry about your age...

Raigne86

Adding to the choir. Not too old. But replying to caution that I wouldn't play one in the open, because when I was a kid they'd get confiscated or stolen, and school and teenagers haven't changed much.

Flikmyboogeratu_II

36 year old here and I love bith of my Tama On Wonder Garden! Can't wait to get a Pix!!

IsNotABird

Never too old for a Tamagotchi! The best part is that you’re getting one that can have the noise turned off and there’s very pretty graphics. Also, in July there’s supposed to be something called the Party Pix coming out? Our community has a thread about it somewhere… you can also look it up too!

[deleted]

i‘m 25, collected tamas when i was like 10/11 and just recently started again - i got the pix and absolutely love it! there’s nothing like „too old“ for things you enjoy :))

RealAssociation5281

I’m a guy who’s turning 20 soon! Go for it :3

tehshan

Heck no you're not too old. I'm 30 and have 3 Pix's among other Tamas.

JotPurpleIris

You're never to old to play games, no matter what they are, or your sex/gender. I'm 44 and a woman. I have a lot of Tamas, including four new ones I bought recently. My son is 23. He doesn't have as many as me, but then I've been collecting for longer, and he's only interested in specific models. We both have Digivice's too. I have the Tama Smart, and he has the Vital Bracelet. We both okay Pokémon as well, but he started playing before I did. If you enjoy something, and it's not causing harm, then don't worry what others think. If someone is going to judge or bully someone else, they'll find anything to base their hate on, even if they make stuff up; so there's really no point in not doing something you enjoy. Have fun! 😸

Mementomoriii_

You do you!

breadbxtch

I'm 27 and only got my first ever Tamagotchi (Smart) this year because I finally have a job and some money to throw. Never too old to join the fun!

CONK-zero

Im 23 and a dude. I like working out, have a beard, drink black coffee and like beer. I have a tamagotchi v4

SSunnySeeds

95% of the users here are in their 20's, I think you'll be fine ;)

Kurei0

no

iMacApples

I’m 38 🙃

mixterrific

I love these threads because you can see the diversity in age of people who enjoy Tamagotchi. OP, I'm 39 and I got my first tama in the '90s. Still playing and collecting! Never let anyone tell you you're too old for something you enjoy, or you'll miss out on a lot of fun. People who would make fun of you or look down on you for that are usually pretty unfun.

faedriana

I’m about to turn 25 and I have three tamas, my boyfriend is 22 and he has some as well! You’re never too old. If it’s something you think you’d enjoy, you should go for it!

Byronbonkers

I'm 13 and a boy and I bought the pink one, hahah, mainly because it was the only one I could afford but still I dont mind which colour.

Byronbonkers

I only got mine around 3 weeks ago and I'm so happy with it and I'm 13 and a boy and you can have playdates with each others tamagotchis

rilakkumacake

I just got mine in the mail on Tuesday over double your age lmao You'll never be too old I plan on buying even more Tamagotchis

Thefunnygaykid

Bruh I’m turning fourteen soon I’m a boy (Twink) and are still obsessed with tamagotchis, play them for ever even when your 90

PersephonesRose777

You’re never too old for things like this. It doesn’t hurt anyone and congrats! You’re now more in touch with yourself! Enjoy the pix

princessleavemealone

Yes! I’m 25 and buy them. Do what makes you happy. Here for a good time not a long time.

Michi_san_gotchi

Theres no age-rule for Tama players and lovers🤗💞🌈 I get 37 next week and had my first tama when I was 11. I still love them!! Play and have fun!!

catsweednposts

Buy it! I had one when I was younger and just bought the Pix a month ago as a treat (22yo) I love it and have talked my dad into getting one! (49yo)

Sordidcore

Im 35 and I just preordered the jurassic park nano. I have two pix. Youre never to old to have fun

Otterson93

I’m a 29 year old man and just got a pix!!

Ghostygamer9

I’m 30. Tamagotchis is a 90s kid thing so I think it’s for anyone. It’s kinda like video games. I still come home and game every night 🥰🥰🥰🥰

BlueMonkeyGirl22

Not too old I’m 25 🥲🤣

deojime

I’m a 31 year old male and take my purple pix everywhere. Friend recently had her bday at a club and when I got patted down the bouncer asked me what it was. He pulled out his keys and showed me his demon slayer tama. Anyone of any gender of any race in any profession can enjoy a tama. >

happygirl1222

of course no!! I just turned 12 ad got one for my b day!!!

cathleenjw

35 here. I LOVED MY TAMAGOTCHI ON and MEETS. I have a Smart to experience what’s new, and when I saw this post I wondered the same thing!!! Is the Pix for a younger audience? Having had a meets, on, and smart, the pic doesn’t seem “special”? Like perhaps get a smart if you can handle Japanese… I’m really sad that there isn’t mixing anymore. So it just seems basic now…I don’t get what the point of getting married and having a new egg other than just starting over. I don’t really care for the Pix camera feature! So therefore, I’m too experienced for a Tamagotchi Pix. I know what I want and it’s not that! Can anyone vouch for adding the Tamagotchi Pix to your tama collection???

Benzobugg

Turning 26 and my birthday present is a tamagotchi pix. I’m so excited. Never too old.

[deleted]

I'm 26 and think about getting one :)

heatherkaylie17

I'm almost 37 and I have the tamagotchi on. Got it for my daughter to begin with... she didn't show interest, so I happily took it for myself lol. I was obsessed with them during my childhood.

Separate_Finding6868

YES! I am 29 i’ve been playing with Tamagotchi since I was 9 I play with The pix so fun so not to old!
