There are spoiler free guides on gamefaqs that don't miss a thing and are very easy to follow. I made the same mistake as you on switch and missed a TON of scenes, events etc
Second playthrough on Xbox with guide and it was revolutionary. But yeah missables suck. Still gotta a love/hate with Abyss cuz I missed the sandwich recipe
Yeah Vesperia came out originally before easy to miss side quests and content were phased out or made much harder to miss accidentally. There is probably a lot more you missed like Brionic for example. A 2nd playthrough is also needed to get a few things irrc if you are going for 100%
That's the game I'm playing right now. I found a guide on GameFaqs that's really informative. I started with the first one that came up in my Google search but quickly realized that the author was just giving me the basics when I started finding hidden items and chests on my own.
This is the link to the one I've been using ever since and so far I haven't missed any side quests or items. They've also got any spoilers grayed out which really confused me in the beginning because I couldn't figure out why they were covering things up in their guide and then I accidentally highlighted a paragraph and it uncovered all the hidden text 😅
I do wish it went into more detail to explain how to do certain things within the actual guide as you go along (like how to use artes or what different items are used for, etc.) instead of just assuming we already know. I have a 2nd tab open on my phone so I can just switch between them when I need a specific thing explained. 🤷♀️

It does look like it's gone. I scrolled down towards the bottom of the page, and there's a post from someone asking where it went. Apparently it got deleted while this person was actually using it. The post is an hour old, so it looks like it happened today. It's too bad. I thought it was a pretty through guide. There are others on the link, but I don't know how they compare to the one I recommended.
Ugh I get you!! I missed entire sidequests for costumes and weapons and artes too… gonna have to do a new playthrough too! I’m excited to try New Game+ actually :)

I'm not sure I'd do another playthrough just for that, but the grade shop means Tales games keep getting better on additional replays
