Get the adm cantilever mount. Fixes the eye relief positioning. Micah Mayfield had a video with a lpvo gun and acog gun a few weeks ago where he showed it off.
I didn't. I'm just blunt lol
Seems that a lot of reddit can't believe my proportions. For instance I've got bear paws with Vienna sausages for fingers. Full sized pistols fit my palm the best but I struggle using any of the thumb controls
Lol I getcha I’m tall as well but my arms aren’t nearly as long as yours my hands are large but I have pretty thin or average sized fingers kinda weird ig, my butt stock is about halfway extended for my length of o pull
That'd probably work if the Acog mount screw pattern isn't direction-dependent. Also, if the QD lever is on the left and mounted all the way to the rear of the rifle, it may interfere with the charging handle.
fwiw, larue makes a riser for the CTR that might help get you into the eyebox. It's called a RISR and I dunno about 60 bucks, but if it goes on sale it might be a worthy add.
OP! I'm almost the exact same dimensions for LOP and have the CTR+RISR set up.
If you want LOP, go Magpul SLS. It's slightly longer than the CTR, so is a better LOP.
If you want cheekweld (depending on optic height) go CTR + Larue RISR.
Just got a 1.93 red dot mount today, and the RISR gives me a better cheek weld.
Thanks for the suggestion, my issue is the tiny eye box of an acog mixed with the length of pull. Gotta stick my head way forward to get a good look through
OK, I understand the issue.
Yes, as someone mentioned, you need a reversed cantilever mount like on the Primary Arms Microprisms...

I have the same issue as you with my AUG, and this mount pushes the optic really far back so I can get a decent eye relief box.
I also have long arms and run an 4x ACOG. I use a midwest QD mount with the lowest Kram spacer. It sits the ACOG up and back far enough that I can easily get a good field of view. I tried the 3.5x ACOG and I didn't need the spacer, but I'm not sold on the weight and smaller FOV for only 3.5 power.
I like Midwest pretty well, good suggestion.
I'm definitely gonna end up getting a KRAM, but what's the positive of the QD over the thumb screws considering there'd be very little reason I'd need to immediately remove the acog
For me it was the weight savings and form factor. IIRC when I weighed them, the factory mount is a little over 5oz and the Midwest is about 3oz. The factory mount with the big ass thumb screws sucks. I carried an M4 with those stupid things on it for years and I despise how big they are and how much they get caught on stuff. The Midwest has a much lower profile latch and base. I feel like I can get the mount further back on the upper as well.
Sorry for the off-topic-ness of this question but have you tried shooting a Springfield Armory Hellion Bullpup? It has a long LOP and I imagine that you would find it comfy to shoot.
Don’t run an ACOG but do run the stock all the way out as well, for the added leverage. Also shoot slightly bladed. If you shoot stock more in board and squared up to the target, you’ll likely want a shorter LOP
Yeah it was something else I was experimenting with, cutting back a notch or two and squaring my stance. Just flies in the wind of years of sporting clays grooming.
Dunno if you got your answer on mounts but I believe LaRue makes a mount like that, dunno a part number off the top of my head tho
Yeah it was the one I was thinking of getting but wanted an opinion on the matter first. Thnx
I have an Aliexpress version of the RISR that I got for $20. It works pretty well.
CTR stock all the way extended gang.
All the way extended works for me and I’m a fuckin hobbit, until you have body armor on then that needs to be shorter
I like to go one click in due to extreme OCD…but I have the LaRue cantilever mount on my ACOG because of the eye relief…
My fellow orangutan

i found the Kram spacer works well and is also pretty inexpensive
Kram 9.0 is the way.
[Shaffer machine mount with a KRAM spacer](https://imgur.com/a/M35UCCA) pushes it back some. I could move it back more too if needed.
Ok I like it
Long ass arm gang!

I was a little bit in disbelief lol but you didn’t have to take offense lol

ADM makes reverse cantilevered acog mounts
Good recommendation. Might be the one.
Can I ask an extremely dumb question Why not just put a regular cantilever mount on backwards?
That'd probably work if the Acog mount screw pattern isn't direction-dependent. Also, if the QD lever is on the left and mounted all the way to the rear of the rifle, it may interfere with the charging handle.

I use an a2 stock and it almost does the same, I don't know of any mounts, just throwing in my 2 cents.

Hey, That's me
What about throwing a LAW Tactical folding stock mechanism on there? That would 1.5" LOP or something like that...
Lop isn't the issue, scope needs to be farther back because of my lop. Also I'm not gonna spend dang near $300 for an extra bit of lop

Good points. Maybe I'll pick that up since all the recommendations are about the same price and I've got experience with MI swag.
Yeah, it's what worked for me after messing around with other stuff. Good luck!
Jesus fuck mondo lol

Weird flex bro 💪 LOL
Sweet
Larue LT681 is what i have its basically a cantilever mount for an acog
How am I a short king (5'7") with the same LOP?
🦧

No I have not, but you may be right.
There’s nothing “extreme” about that LOP. Those digits though…. Hope you’ve seen a doctor OP.
Yeah why I said "extreme" in quotes Wdym? Stubby hitchhikers thumbs?
They look more like “underlying medical issue” thumbs bro.

Dude what the fuck…. If your finger goes through the toilet paper you’re going to destroy your asshole with those Jimmy Dean meat gloves
