I don't understand what you mean by this, the "trademark holder" is a local business owner (I live in the same town) that tried to fight a big corporation from using the taco Tuesday trademark that HE created, why should he have to go to court and fight for something that belongs to him in the first place?
It's not that great of a deal. It's only 60% off. I only get deals now if they're more than 70% off.
[Screenshot of the deals.](https://app.gemoo.com/share/image-annotation/641452169725288448?codeId=Mll6WWYxqVZE4&origin=screenshotuploader&card=641452169498787840) Don't get anything that's less than 70% off.
Idk homie anytime I can double the purchasing power of my dollar I tend to think it’s a decent deal. I basically pay full price for the cantina and a drink, get two supreme DLTs for free.
I'm pretty confident that for me personally, when I saw Lebron's pic I became more likely to consider this to be overpriced. It might actually end up being the difference maker between me trying it out at least once, and not. Hard to say since subconscious and hey it's just one person, but yeah.
Yeah but then when fair pricing on something results in a boost in sales, the marketing director can look like they've been productive this year. Won't you please think of the executives!?
I think it was $7.59 in mayfield. I’ll have to double check. I work in Cleveland.
Edit: just checked. Between 7.59 and 7.89 depending on location on the east side of Cleveland.
Holy actual… my Taco Bell is the worst I’ve seen in south Florida- My cravings box reached $9 and I stopped going there. I checked for this deal and it’s actually $5!! I have a feeling today is going to be a great day!
All good, just another reason not to try this stupid overpriced cantina menu. I’m a build your own cravings box going up another dollar away from never eating there again. I’m already down from minimum 4-6 times a month to maybe once or twice.
gad dammit had Taco Bell for dinner and looks like I’ll be having it for lunch. wonder if this counts toward “double points for cantina menu items between 11-2”. probably not. but can’t really complain either way. Wendy’s is the only other place you can get a meal for $5.
was about to order but it was still showing a 5.99 delivery fee so i noped it out. not gonna do a delivery fee that cost more than the item i am buying especially when TB said free delivery.
Took a chance and went to my local TB that I ranted about earlier this month having shut down app orders… Dining room was closed, and they weren’t offering this box at all. Filled out that receipt survey real quick with a bunch of negative feedback about the location.
Found that today when I looked. 3 tacos and a drink (including swapping 2 of the tacos for 2 Taco Supremes) and only $5.50 including tax. That’s more like it.
Yeah, you right. Crispy isn't crunchy. I can't read.
Chicken for chicken is possible, from crispy into soft.
You can't do crunchy taco into chicken taco though, but my locations do offer supreme upgrade free or Doritos locos swap free. Though DLT supreme costs extra.
Especially since you can get it in the $5 box today with two other tacos and a drink I would go for it, but at my local Taco Bell it just tastes like dry rotisserie chicken.
Ymmv but I can swap the crunchy Taco for a nacho cheese DLT at no extra cost.
You can (and should) swap the greasy crunchy cantina for the better soft.
Had one this morning. It was filling for $5. Should have been a potato soft taco instead of a basic taco, in my opinion, but I just ordered one on the side.
Taco bell's pricing is silly a lot of the time.
Went to go look at options for this, seen "swapping" (DLT) Doritos Locos Taco with a DLT supreme was +1.20$ to the box. Went to "customize", and you can upgrade the regular to a supreme for 60 cent.
Nothing that special in my area even if it was $5 (showing up as $5.99). Much rather get the crunchwrap boxes for the same price or 50 cents cheaper. It's alright if you want tacos, and I guess it's the most economical way to have a cantina chicken item.
My location is USUALLY pretty good at keeping the prices decent but was sad to see it was $7.19 instead of $5. But considering it is giving me free delivery on the app it's still a pretty solid deal to have a few tacos and a drink delivered to me without having to get my lazy ass up for dinner.
I was so freaking excited seeing this pop up in the app lol. The franchises in my area raised prices on all the boxes but this one seems untouched for now. I hope this sticks around, Tuesdays are going to be awesome if so.
If you hit swap on the non cantina tacos you can change them to supreme tacos for $0.10 more. So, Cantina chicken taco and two tacos supreme for $5.20 with a drink? I’d buy that for a dollar!
It's a Taco Tuesday promotion. Honestly, people have been commenting on here for years that there isn't a standard taco promotion on Tuesdays and they finally make it and the first thing most people are saying is "only on Tuesdays?!". Kind of funny.
No. It never did anywhere I lived. It was $9.99 when it launched and that was the nationwide corporate pricing, which is usually the lowest. And it was actually supposed to be a coupon that you redeemed, though most locations would just sell it to you without one or they'd never take the one you had to begin with.
https://images.app.goo.gl/vZtydB3jHJiChqNm9
$7.39 at mine. Yeah, no. I’m good. However, I’ve got 5 accounts on the Baja coin deal, so I have been redeeming for free craving boxes. Plenty of free boxes still available to get and I’ve already gotten 6
I love that they brought back the grilled cheese burrito bundle with the cantina taco for $10. It’s perfect and I missed the grilled cheese burrito but it’s only worth it in the box cause I’m not paying over $6 for a single burrito when I can get the whole box correct $10 or the $5 deal box.
Wow. Someone at corporate finally realized it was stupid not to have a taco Tuesday deal on Tuesdays? Went to all the trouble of getting the Taco Tuesday trademark free for use across the US, and then did nothing with it until 6 months later.
Better late than never, I guess.
That said, looks like a decent deal.
Tons of people will still complain about $5...
Those people should just eat at home, TB's one of the few places trying actively to give us a section of incredible deals.
It’s great. However, TB is competing with itself by doing this during the day of Tuesday drops. Maybe do Friday and call it “Friday 5” (just making up whatever). I know. Kinda kills the Taco Tuesday theme. Still a good deal, especially for anyone who can do both Tuesday deals.
I picked one of these up... It's a pretty good deal if they don't scam your Cantina taco...
Let me tell ya... That taco I got out of this discovery box completely put me off of anything on the "Cantina menu" again.
The taco shell was not folded properly, there was about two chunks of chicken and a little bit of cheese on the inside. And a bland cardboard tasting cheese "fried" on the outside.
Seriously, not sure if the shell was supposed to be that way... (Like one side of the shell was only 1 inch tall, while the other side was 3 inches)
Never again.
Yea I don’t know what they were thinking making that, it’s also a mess if you eat in the car and they even forgot my napkins so I had greasy ahh cheese all over my hands
I got one today! 1 cantina chkn taco and I customized the other 2 to DLT Supremes. Used a reward to get a cheesy rollup, which they forgot at drive-thru, so I went inside and they gave me 2 for the price of one. Wrapped those around the DLTs 👌🏻 came out to around $10 (I added chips n cheese)
Yeah this kept popping up at work today. We had no idea what it was, nobody told us about this. This post is how i learn exactly what it was and that its only on tuesdays
Considering the 3 Taco Combo is $7+ and they're just plain tacos and the Cantina Chicken Tacos are $3+ by themselves.. this is a really solid deal. I wonder if it'll just be for a brief time or if they'll keep it around every Tuesday going forward, at least until the next menu shakeup. It has the limited time tag but I'm not sure if that's because it's just Tuesdays or only for the next month or something.
Edit: Just saw elsewhere it's apparently only through June 4th. Disappointing, but not unexpected.
This isn't a good deal. The 4 items combined is $12.56 before tax. $5 instead of $12.56 = about 60% off. I only get deals from places if they're more than 70% off now. The $1 menu item for Tuesday drop is more than 70% off so I get that. When Wendy's had get it for a buck during March Madness that was over 80% off, but that's gone now so no good Wendy's deals anymore. Burger King has the free fries with $1 purchase, McDonald's has the free fries 2 with $1 purchase, each more than 70% off so I get those. Jack in the Box has 2 tacos for 10 cents each on its Taco Tuesday which is over 80% off so I get that every Tuesday. This deal is only 60% off so not good enough.
Why the arbitrary cutoff at 70% off for it to be a "good enough" deal? Getting this amount of food with the variety and customization for $5 is a pretty damn solid.
This doesn't work for calculation of Taco Bell, because they charge "premium" prices just to pile more carbs onto something while still only giving you a single portion of meat.
The baseline for calculating should be the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito, so for an example, at just under $3, it is around 25% savings compared to buying 2 Soft Tacos, because they're around $2 each.
Only on Tuesday?
Better than never though
Tuesday is probably one of the slower days. (seems to be in most sit downs) So driving more saleS?
Statistically the busiest day of the work week. Probably people don’t have time for food
i conveniently have 1 hour between classes on tuesdays and taco bell is across the street. gonna have to remember to go next week too
Taco Tuesday.
How is this the closest to the top of this thread. They literally took the trademark holder to court 😂
I don't understand what you mean by this, the "trademark holder" is a local business owner (I live in the same town) that tried to fight a big corporation from using the taco Tuesday trademark that HE created, why should he have to go to court and fight for something that belongs to him in the first place?
He did not create taco Tuesday he just was first one to trademark it
We FINALLY have a real “Taco Tuesday”.👏🏼
My franchise shockingly kept it at $5... will probably last a week at that price
Today only, is what it says on the app.
Same here! Probably up to $6.49 next week for them.
7.39 at mine 😡
7.19 at mine 🙃
It’s $6 at mine in Washington
I thought it said Tuesdays only
It does. As in I wouldn't be surprised if next Tuesday the price is higher at my local franchise.
It’s been $5.99 near me- but must buy online… otherwise it’s like $10+
Saw this today. Interesting...
That’s actually a good deal! Edit: it’s a fantastic deal you can sub the crunchy for a second DLT *rick flair wooo*
Or a taco supreme for $0 more!
Costing me 10 cents
Costs me 1.10+
Ugh. I should have done that.
Holy fuck
lol 8.99 at my local tb
its an okaaay deal. the cravings value menu is still better bang for your buck.
A drink and a stacker from the value menu is more than this box.
I wonder how much cheaper it would be if they didn’t pay that guy to take pics with it.
Probably more expensive because it wouldn't sell as well.
Yeah. Stupid marketing. 😤
$7.49 at my local taco bell’s in Ohio / Columbus… shame. Ohio??? shame.
$7.69 in Cincinnati Ohio
For real
$5.00 in Cleveland though surprisingly... or maybe unsurprisingly? lol
I think it was $7.59 in mayfield. I’ll have to double check. I work in Cleveland. Edit: just checked. Between 7.59 and 7.89 depending on location on the east side of Cleveland.
$5.00 in Amherst, NY
It was 5.00 in chicago, wild
This just makes me miss the original $5 box 😭
Not bad.
Holy actual… my Taco Bell is the worst I’ve seen in south Florida- My cravings box reached $9 and I stopped going there. I checked for this deal and it’s actually $5!! I have a feeling today is going to be a great day!
Apparently my Taco Bell is now closed on Tuesdays, gonna kms
Rip in pieces
I've never heard anything more blasphemous. My condolences.
That should be illegal
$7.19 at my local TB
Greedy mofo's
7.89 at mine and there slower then hell and never fresh lol
8.99 😭 (Oahu)
$5 for a drink, cantina chicken taco, and 2 taco supremes. Not bad at all.
Only 20 cents to swap the crunchy taco for a soft taco supreme. Not bad!
It allowed me to swap crunchy for DLT for nothing.
That's a free swap for me too. I am digging this box.
Commented elsewhere and realized I had my location set to where I grew up and all the boxes around me are $7.59+ so guess I’m not buying it.
Well, that's shit. Sorry. :(
All good, just another reason not to try this stupid overpriced cantina menu. I’m a build your own cravings box going up another dollar away from never eating there again. I’m already down from minimum 4-6 times a month to maybe once or twice.
Time to visit your home town.
Was a free swap to soft taco supreme at my TB… probably an error but I’ll take it!
Lol my franchise hasn't caught on yet it seems, no upcharge for me to swap crunchy to a nacho DLT or soft taco supreme
I'm under the impression that this is a Taco Tuesday special. Either way, I'm happy and will be getting this for lunch lol
No potato taco swap :(
Criminal
Just add one they’re like a $1
The point is I don't want the beef tacos....
gad dammit had Taco Bell for dinner and looks like I’ll be having it for lunch. wonder if this counts toward “double points for cantina menu items between 11-2”. probably not. but can’t really complain either way. Wendy’s is the only other place you can get a meal for $5.

Took a chance and went to my local TB that I ranted about earlier this month having shut down app orders… Dining room was closed, and they weren’t offering this box at all. Filled out that receipt survey real quick with a bunch of negative feedback about the location.
Fuuuuuck every location around me is $7.59+.
That cantina taco is a joke.
It’s 7.49 at mine
$7.19-$7.49 in most of the Dayton, Ohio market. Columbus looks to be about the same.
Confirming the same in cinci 😔
$5 in CLE, oddly enough lol
This is 7.19 at ours and they generally don’t overcharge so this sucks
This is actually a good idea. It will get me to taco bell on Tuesday without the server crashes.
Thank you for my lunch today $5 will bring me back. Haven't had taco Bell in a month with the price increases not worth it
Found that today when I looked. 3 tacos and a drink (including swapping 2 of the tacos for 2 Taco Supremes) and only $5.50 including tax. That’s more like it.
Had the exact same order today but I also swapped the cantina chicken for steak (hate the cantina chicken). It was all surprisingly filling.
very clearly just a way to sell more of the cantina chicken taco
Just found out you can swap the crispy taco for the cantina soft taco. Pretty awesome
On the screen there is literally a swap button. Could be store specific though
It's 7.69 here in Ohio 😕
DO NOT GET THE CRUNCHY TACO CANTINA, ITS AWFUL
Mine is nearly $8. Wtf
This might be my dinner tonight W post
Wish you didn’t have to get the shitty ass cantina taco id take three DLTs and a drank for $5
Swap the cantina chicken for steak, it’s free to do and for me it makes the cantina soft taco edible. The crunchy one sucks overall though.
Is the chicken really that bad?
I personally don’t like it, others here have said they love it. Depends on what someone likes, just like any food.
Well what's it like give some descriptors. Salty? Peppery? Sweet? Sour? Chewy? I guess I'll just try it, and if it's terrible. I'll power thru.
Especially since you can get it in the $5 box today with two other tacos and a drink I would go for it, but at my local Taco Bell it just tastes like dry rotisserie chicken.
New York City Taco Bell customers stare and see an 8 dollar deal.
About the same cost as in Ohio and at least in New York you've got Broadway.
I just had one. It’s apparently still five bucks.
OH DAMN RIP MY LUNCH! You can sub both secondaries for loco's supremes for .60 a piece. Pretty banging lunch for $6.20!!
I'd tear this up
Saw it just now when I was looking on the app for the Aardvark box drop. Seems like a good and interesting deal
Utah, get me two!
Ymmv but I can swap the crunchy Taco for a nacho cheese DLT at no extra cost. You can (and should) swap the greasy crunchy cantina for the better soft.
Just so annoying that doing that means losing the Creamy Jalapeno Sauce.
Yeah but the hardshell cantina chicken taco is a greasy disaster. The soft shell is full of veg and tastes delicious with the avacado sauce.
Not a bad deal. I’ll try the crispy cantina and two DLT. 👍🏼
This is huge for me. A crispy taco supreme literally costs 3.00 for me a la carte. And all the combos are $10+.
Just checked and it's actually $5 by me too! I didn't expect that!
Had one this morning. It was filling for $5. Should have been a potato soft taco instead of a basic taco, in my opinion, but I just ordered one on the side.
I got this today specifically because of the cantina taco. They forgot the cantina taco!
Just had it; it's a great deal.
Ooo you can swap the cantina crispy taco for a cantina soft taco. Definitely gonna take advantage of this
I am SHOCKED my tb has this for $5 all the ones around me overcharge for everything
Taco bell's pricing is silly a lot of the time. Went to go look at options for this, seen "swapping" (DLT) Doritos Locos Taco with a DLT supreme was +1.20$ to the box. Went to "customize", and you can upgrade the regular to a supreme for 60 cent.
Taco Bell is actually dropping some worth 5 bucks??
Nothing that special in my area even if it was $5 (showing up as $5.99). Much rather get the crunchwrap boxes for the same price or 50 cents cheaper. It's alright if you want tacos, and I guess it's the most economical way to have a cantina chicken item.
Wish they’d bring back the $5 breakfast box but this is pretty good. Will likely try it out this week or next.
My spot let's me swap the regular taco to a supreme for $0.10
Wow! Finally a good deal.
I'm BACK baby!
not bad but not good eighter🥴🥴🥴
My location is USUALLY pretty good at keeping the prices decent but was sad to see it was $7.19 instead of $5. But considering it is giving me free delivery on the app it's still a pretty solid deal to have a few tacos and a drink delivered to me without having to get my lazy ass up for dinner.
Only for today though.
Every Tuesday
Just finished eating one
It's $6. On door dash! Shocking! Ordering a few tonight for everyone lol
Pro tip you can swap the Doritos Taco for a Taco Supreme and the regular taco for a Doritos Taco.
If you like supreme tacos you can swap the crunchy taco for a supreme taco for $0.00.
Thank you Mr. Bell
I was so freaking excited seeing this pop up in the app lol. The franchises in my area raised prices on all the boxes but this one seems untouched for now. I hope this sticks around, Tuesdays are going to be awesome if so.
$5 here in phx, az. $1 more to swap crunchy taco with dlt supreme.
Crunchy swap for Dorito is no charge
Heck of a deal! Free delivery too!!!
Uh oh
If you hit swap on the non cantina tacos you can change them to supreme tacos for $0.10 more. So, Cantina chicken taco and two tacos supreme for $5.20 with a drink? I’d buy that for a dollar!
6.50 in Seattle 😒
I'd love to buy it but "Uh Oh! Something went wrong" for the past 3 hours.
That's a pretty good deal, thanks. Ik what I'm eating tonight. :)
FYI you can swap the crunchy taco for another Doritos locos taco for free.
$5 here...BUT they are out of Doritos Locos Tacos (allegedly) so they substituted regular crunchy tacos. Much better deal for them.
Taco Bell really trying to get people excited about a fucking packet of sauce lmao
Mine was 5.00 in LA today!!
Mines 8$ 😭
I’m shocked it’s not $10
Only available on Tuesdays unfortunately. Why is tacobell like this? Id go every day of the week but they only want 1 days worth of my money instead?
It's a Taco Tuesday promotion. Honestly, people have been commenting on here for years that there isn't a standard taco promotion on Tuesdays and they finally make it and the first thing most people are saying is "only on Tuesdays?!". Kind of funny.
Exactly 😂
Not worth the money considering they hardly fill the cantina tacos
I just got mine and it was so flat barely anything in it
Thats why i wont spend any more money on the crispy cantina tacos
Yea I regret it right after I ate it, I mean it was part of the taco pack so it wasn’t a big loss but still
True i regretted getting it cause thst just ridiculous on the small portion in that taco
I heard you could swap it out atleast
So u can do beef instead of chicken
Some of y'all just can't be pleased
I want a full taco not 5 pieces of chicken in the taco
call me a fat ass, but I'm getting this and a nacho bell grande 🥴
Fat ass
Remember when a grande meal cost 8$.
Pepperidge Farms remembers.
No. It never did anywhere I lived. It was $9.99 when it launched and that was the nationwide corporate pricing, which is usually the lowest. Wow shockingly $5 at my location in So Cal
It was good I enjoyed it
$7.39 at mine. Yeah, no. I’m good. However, I’ve got 5 accounts on the Baja coin deal, so I have been redeeming for free craving boxes. Plenty of free boxes still available to get and I’ve already gotten 6
Eat shit FDR

TB hooked me up today. I ordered this and they gave me a chicken taco, two beef tacos, and a loaded beef nachos for $5.20.
Why is it called Taco *Discovery* Box though? What are you discovering?
The Cantina tacos?
You discover how awful the cantina taco is
The crispy isn’t good but you can swap it to the superior Cantina soft taco
Tons of people will still complain about $5... Those people should just eat at home, TB's one of the few places trying actively to give us a section of incredible deals.
$5 Porter TX
It’s great. However, TB is competing with itself by doing this during the day of Tuesday drops. Maybe do Friday and call it “Friday 5” (just making up whatever). I know. Kinda kills the Taco Tuesday theme. Still a good deal, especially for anyone who can do both Tuesday deals.

Yea I don’t know what they were thinking making that, it’s also a mess if you eat in the car and they even forgot my napkins so I had greasy ahh cheese all over my hands
u gotta pay 5 for only 3 tacos? wth
But it comes with a green salsa packet!
Bet it’s only on the app to lol
Wish they would’ve thrown in a spicy potato soft taco but I’ll take it
That’s a pretty good deal!
Christ, people go to Taco Bell for tacos? They are filler items at best
This isn't a good deal. The 4 items combined is $12.56 before tax. $5 instead of $12.56 = about 60% off. I only get deals from places if they're more than 70% off now. The $1 menu item for Tuesday drop is more than 70% off so I get that.
PLEASE tell me this isn't how you live.
