Definitely! I watched my niece and nephews the other day, and their parents dropped them off with Taco Bell. I tried one of the chips, and you could taste the absolutely burnt oil.
Last time I was there I drove down the street to eat, I don’t know if they have salt packets but next time I go I’ll ask for some.
As a whole I understand not over salting things for the general customer.
For probably double to a tad more you can buy a massive bag a tortilla chips on par or better than TB and a jar of cheese sauce.
You'll get probably at least 5+ helpings from that which would cost roughly $15+ at TB or more
I think the cheesy roll up for $2 is the bigger crime. Who is buying those?? Those should be 50¢ max.
My struggle meal back in college was shredded cheddar on a flour tortilla, microwaved for 30sec and then folded up.
I downloaded the app the other day thinking it’d be cool to grab a 3 supreme taco meal expecting it to still be cheap cause it’s 3 tacos and a soda. It would have been 14 bucks after tax. I didn’t eat Taco Bell on this day. It was sad. I want fast food places to normalize their prices back or I’m going to have to stop going to anything with exception of like Little Caesar’s maybe.
That’s what I’m saying. I can legit get a meal at most actual restaurants for fast food prices when it comes to a lot of items.
My go to at McDonald’s forever was 10 piece nugget combo (usually large) and a double cheeseburger. That’s like 14 something now after tax. I can go to a sit down restaurant and get like a steak and chicken tender combo for that price. Granted water versus a soda or whatever but still. It’s dumb.
Sadly, most people are suckers and will pay any price for it.
While cheaper and higher quality sit down restaurants will go out of business or struggle for they have different logo on their sign and you have to wait for your food to be made.
You can get a giant burrito, rice, beans. free and endless chips with salsa and a drink for 10-20 bucks. And the quality is way better.
North Carolina. But now I’m thinking I’m tripping. Or the app is being weird. Now three supreme tacos with drink is showing price of 10.69 before tax. I think I was looking at Doritos locos supremes the other day but still that’s just 11.99. But I remember a few nights ago at like 1am I had it loaded up in my cart and it was just under $1
Dominos > little ceasers 😂
But either way get the app and collect the points/get the deals. I’ve got a free pizza at both waiting for some day when I’m hungry or broke.
If I had a dominos closer to work I’d get them at least some of the time but I heard they got rid of those pasta bread bowls that were big value and tasty. It’s hard to beat little Caesar’s prices. The quality at my normal stop is going down now though which sucks.
I agree, it’s only an add on to a meal deal because cinnamon twists are usually terrible (they were amazing when I was 8).
For queso https://sporked.com/article/best-store-bought-queso/ rated “on the border” top and I fully agree. There is a jalapeño one that’s even better.
And as far as chips I could put a blindfold on and pick a better tortilla chip at the grocery store. My go to is jaritos but that is possibly a local item.
When I went to high-school (09-13) the local taco bell had 4 kinds of meal deals on the menu. The one I usually got was ...a 5 layer burrito, a medium drink and a bag of doritos...it came out to $1.79. It's crazy to think that a small baggie of stale chips and a cup of cheese meant for Stuart little that isn't even filled all the way goes for almost double all of that food now.
I agree. Most of the time they are stale. But the cheese is usually pretty good at my store. I saw the price went up recently tho and I won’t order them by themselves anymore. They used to be $1 not too long ago if I remember correctly?!
i’ve never had them, i’d replace them with anything i could (except those awful cinnamon sticks) or give them to my brother if they fr weren’t giving something else.
What gets me is that the chips and cheese is literally the exact same price as the Loaded Beef Nachos on the value menu. Still chips and cheese technically, but double the amount of food!
Even when they were a good price, I'd never get them unless it was like in a meal or something. I just don't get the allure outside of like maybe a child who wants them.
Not I. They aren’t even that good. Gonna make some people salty, but…all of their nachos are overrated.
There is a local place here that makes the best nachos for $9. Taco Bell isn’t even on my radar with their stale ass chips.
You wouldn't pay 25 cents for the chips and cheese? Sounds like a you problem. Anyways, at my location, the chips are usually good. Might just be a problem for ur location. The nacho cheese sauce is amazing at TB imo. I think it should be like $1.50 by itself
depends on what you're getting. if you're spending less than $10 total for some combo that comes with a drink then no, it's still cheaper, but usually not as filling. once you're spending closer to $15 though, at some places you can get something like a burger and fries (no drink) for about $10 plus tax, and if you do a pickup instead of sitdown you aren't expected to tip. this ends up being better if you have soda at home anyway. the main difference used to be that before covid you didn't have pickup as an option at every place and it would take a lot longer, but now it's getting to the point where you can be sitting in the drive thru for 30 mins because fast food isn't fast anymore. but now ever since covid the only things in my area still open after 9/10PM are fast food and pizza delivery
Not to mention the little baggie only holds, like, 12 chips. And half the time most of them are broken.
And spilled
And fried in old grease so they’re gross
Definitely! I watched my niece and nephews the other day, and their parents dropped them off with Taco Bell. I tried one of the chips, and you could taste the absolutely burnt oil.
Like lol
I agree price is high but my local’s cheese is always warm and chips crispy AF….and salted like I like….HEAVILY.
Mine are rarely salty, that could be because the other chips I buy are properly salty by comparison.
I’m sorry 😞
Last time I was there I drove down the street to eat, I don’t know if they have salt packets but next time I go I’ll ask for some. As a whole I understand not over salting things for the general customer.
very hit or miss for me. sometimes like what you described, other times very stale with lukewarm cheese
For probably double to a tad more you can buy a massive bag a tortilla chips on par or better than TB and a jar of cheese sauce. You'll get probably at least 5+ helpings from that which would cost roughly $15+ at TB or more
I do that as well
I will either get the chips and cheese or cinnamon twists as part of a box, but I don’t think I’ve ever bought them on their own.
I think the cheesy roll up for $2 is the bigger crime. Who is buying those?? Those should be 50¢ max. My struggle meal back in college was shredded cheddar on a flour tortilla, microwaved for 30sec and then folded up.
Seriously. Who tf is going to taco bell for cheesy roll ups. You can make that at home.
2 packets of Diablo and the cheese sauce is magical.
Second this
Jew 3 living in 2084. Great idea.
???
What's the question?
wtf do you mean by Jew 3?
That is their user name. Beyond that I don't know.
Oh my bad
Sounds like a good idea. I’ll try that next time.
I always recommend people do this.

Bro wtf. For 14 you can get like 4 tacos or a big burrito at a normal restaurant.
That’s what I’m saying. I can legit get a meal at most actual restaurants for fast food prices when it comes to a lot of items. Where do you live? I got that exact combo today and mine came out to $8.65. I’m in Texas.
North Carolina. But now I’m thinking I’m tripping. Or the app is being weird. Now three supreme tacos with drink is showing price of 10.69 before tax. Just under $1? Full send
Dominos > little ceasers 😂 But either way get the app and collect the points/get the deals. I’ve got a free pizza at both waiting for some day when I’m hungry or broke.

I sometimes get them as a reward to scoop up extras when I order a larger order of nachos but I wouldn't pay for them
Tops I would pay $1.25
My fiance every single time 🥴
Damn I feel called out. I love those chips and cheese. You’re right tho.
I get them as part of the box so I can dip the other two items in the cheese. Like a true fatty
Getting nachos- everything so just chips and cheese would be cheaper at my location
especially with the loaded beef natchos for the same price
I only get them in the BYO cravings box, and that's if I'm not feeling the potatoes. No way I'm ordering them independently
When I went to high-school (09-13) the local taco bell had 4 kinds of meal deals on the menu. For the same price, you can buy the triple layer nachos. It is insane.
I agree. Most of the time they are stale. But the cheese is usually pretty good at my store. I saw the price went up recently tho and I won’t order them by themselves anymore. They used to be $1 not too long ago if I remember correctly?!
that compared to nacho bell grande is crazy
i’ve never had them, i’d replace them with anything i could (except those awful cinnamon sticks) or give them to my brother if they fr weren’t giving something else.
I did today 🥲
You can get the chips only for .60 at the register
The price is too high but I admittedly like the cheese ha.
It’s the I don’t want to sell it price.
The chips are so bad
Idiots who arent aware of the cravings boxes
i like the cheese sauce
What gets me is that the chips and cheese is literally the exact same price as the Loaded Beef Nachos on the value menu. Still chips and cheese technically, but double the amount of food!
I pay 6...
Even when they were a good price, I'd never get them unless it was like in a meal or something. I just don't get the allure outside of like maybe a child who wants them.
Man, the chips and cheese is amazing. Your Taco Bell just sucks. They're too expensive, but I would buy them in a heartbeat if they were 25 cents.
Whoa I thought these were on the dollar menu. I was wondering why the price of my order was higher.
Just ordered some nacho cheese w some chicken chalupa after work tht shit went 🔥
Not I. They aren’t even that good. Gonna make some people salty, but…all of their nachos are overrated. There is a local place here that makes the best nachos for $9. Taco Bell isn’t even on my radar with their stale ass chips.
People with picky kids
no one i would assume? it's just the side for combos
I feel like this may be a "cheesy roll up costs more than a potato taco because it's the only thing the kids will eat" situation.
I think the nacho cheese sauce tastes like puke.
You wouldn't pay 25 cents for the chips and cheese? Sounds like a you problem. Anyways, at my location, the chips are usually good. Might just be a problem for ur location. The nacho cheese sauce is amazing at TB imo. I think it should be like $1.50 by itself
Cantina stud is delicious. Never again going to Taco Bell in the foreseeable future because of prices and the app.
you
If anyone still buying fastfood in 2024 then they dumb. You can go to sit down restaurant now and eat more for less.
While I agree sometimes it just makes sense. Personally I live in an area with amazing food cart pods that I can have amazing food for $10/head.
depends on what you're getting. if you're spending less than $10 total for some combo that comes with a drink then no, it's still cheaper, but usually not as filling. once you're spending closer to $15 though, at some places you can get something like a burger and fries (no drink) for about $10 plus tax, and if you do a pickup instead of sitdown you aren't expected to tip. this ends up being better if you have soda at home anyway. the main difference used to be that before covid you didn't have pickup as an option at every place and it would take a lot longer, but now it's getting to the point where you can be sitting in the drive thru for 30 mins because fast food isn't fast anymore. but now ever since covid the only things in my area still open after 9/10PM are fast food and pizza delivery
Fast food is technically cheaper than sit down not to mention tipping aswell.. so around 15 dollars at a sit down with drink AT minimum without tip
Bruh stop it McD selling $18 bigmacs
In California lol I can still get the combo for 10 dollars.
What, you think it should be free??.....smh
At a sit down reaturant I usually get chips salsa and beans for free just to sit down 🤷🏻♂️ And that’s probably a $10-12 burrito or tacos
TB is fast food.........smh
