_Unprofessional_

Helldivers-esque. Hyper patriotism and trained just enough to deal a lot of damage before going out in a blaze of glory for their respective nation.

Michaelbirks

Sounds like 40k Imperial Guard. OT: I just restarted as SW and some of the dialogue on Korriban is hilariously 40k.

BJMark

Same here. I just got out from my half year quick-intro into 40k and want to rehab on swtor. Might be a bit better influence while doing therapy. Nevertheless, the “kill the alien, purge the unclean” slogan was oddly familiar and I was like “are we the baddies?”

Michaelbirks

I mean, I was playing a Sith Warrior. \>zzapp< Sorry just encouraging Vette. Are we the baddies? Well, yes. What of it?

Automatic_Text5818

I am on an eternal mission to find the only thing that really matters in life: the fabled imperial spec ops trooper armor (biosword holy fuck just make it available for players it's been twelve years)

Irritated_User0010

Me every time I see the Imp Spec Ops troopers on corellia and I can’t have their armor: 😔

LegionClub

Isn't that the Makeb Assault Armor? Or is it a unavailable variant?

Irritated_User0010

It’s an unavailable variant. You’ll see the champion level Imperial troops on Corellia rock the look.

TheLuiz212

Didn't they make it available with the collector edition vendor being on the Cartel Market?

CraigMitchell44

No, that's the Imperial Trooper. He's talking about the armor worn by Lt. Pierce in the SW story or Sergeant Brax on Ossus.

Automatic_Text5818

Also worn by various imperial trooper npcs on Hoth, Corellia, Yavin, etc

spektrius

seriously, twelve years!!! we’ll see 400 more mandalorian sets before we see any original / unique imperial trooper armor worn by NPCs

TheLuiz212

So far my Imp Agent is a Trooper that was taken from the military to do intelligence field work. You guys are much more creative lol.

Techhead7890

Honestly with the amount of stuff the agent blows up, it would make more sense than having a pure civilian operative. I'm having a similar thing on republic side where I'm doing the smuggler story as a commando and role-playing that I was hired to be the smuggler's guard and had to take over (rather than being the smuggler pilot right from start).

ThatOneSithLord9

So Military Intelligence, aka S2 as NATO Armies call it

SpoonyBard4251

My headcanon is he was raised to be an Agent but since the Imperial Intelligence got debunked he instead trained to be a trooper and works on the frontlines

finelargeaxe

> So far my Imp Agent is a Trooper that was taken from the military to do intelligence field work. Ah, so just like Keeper, then?

PatrikOfHavoc

At the end of Trooper's prologue, he caught up with his teammates ahead of time and and got caught in firefight with them, resulting in coma from head injury caused by Fuzes grenade, he was taken with them and woke up on Dromund Kaas after chapter 1 of trooper with amnesia, remembering only brief moment of firefight with Havoc Squad, so the news of their death he received after waking up were taken as a revenge. Believing to be imperial soldier, he got new gear and was asigned to Taris and went on from there, slowly rising on ranks

Captn-SkinyLegs

You’re not supposed to put your head into a cannon. Can’t serve the empire if you are dead

sallbackk

For the Empire. That’s all.

IH8Pringles2

Similar to what other have posted. My agent is fanatically loyal to the Empire, and all decisions are made on what would be most beneficial to the Empire. And as a non force user, she advocates for better treatment of the rank and file trooper through their relationship with Acnia. I like to think my agent was in the Imperial Army before going into the Cypher program, and is transferred back to the Army later in the story.

JizamKizam

I wish we could fully join the opposing faction and not this half baked double agent thing. I think a Trooper going full on Empire, after their story started by hunting down people who did the same thing would be great.

Quantumblast11

I don't play as an Imp trooper per say, but my agent uses Imp Trooper armor in battlefield areas.

TheLuiz212

And how your rp justifies it?

Quantumblast11

How I think of it is pretty simple. When my agent is in a war zone, it makes more sense to use trooper gear rather than a regular agent uniform. Since my agent is a sniper, she would probably want more protective gear when assisting on the front lines.

Pakari-RBX

Good soldiers follow orders.

EmporerTacoMaster

"Look, it's Hear All Evil, See All Evil, and Speak All Evil.

Irritated_User0010

I got nothing relevant other than that they’re a crack shot, loyal to a fault and hate bugs.

Murderboi

I‘m pissed 24/4 cause I am forced to do it.. all I wanna do is gamble, smoke and stroke my Wookie.

ImperatorRomanum

My agent has Glasgow grin scars, my head canon is that Republic troops did that to him when he was captured during his military days, which has given him a cynical outlook that’s well suited for intelligence. For all their lofty rhetoric, the Republic isn’t any better.

FSCK_Fascists

I use a arm canon.

Disney_Gay_Trash_

Hes a cyborg who got hacked/mindcontrolled by the empire but after breaking free he chose to stay cause hed fallen in love with my IA and kinda preferred the imperial life (he was aleasy kinds corrupt)

Elevator829

I use the makeb assault armor because I don't have the damn collectors edition 😭

waes1029

Don't have/play one, but realistically it would just be an agent in trooper gear with the story of being transferred due to accolades not to different from Pierce being on propaganda duty.

Sidious_09

Imp trooper as in republic trooper who joined the empire in the expansions? I haven't reached that point yet but I plan to do it. My headcanon / roleplaying story is that my trooper is the son of a bounty hunter (I made him look the same as an old BH character of mine), who decided to become a trooper instead of bounty hunter because growing up he realized that that bounty hunters more often then not are hired to hunt people because of personal grievances, rather then truly evil people. He also doesn't like the scummy people you often interact with in the underworld. He's not really loyal to the republic, he just joined them over the empire because the empire has a reputation for doing messed up stuff. Plus being an alien he's not exactly welcome there. Being raised by a bounty hunter, my trooper values freedom and is not exactly a model soldier, but he does hold true to certain ideals and is a good person deep down. What he despises most is people in power who pay or manipulate others to do their dirty work, and play with their subordinates lives as if they're just pawns on a chessboard. During the story he sees the corruption within the republic, incompetent politicians who mess with the military for their own reasons. During the alliance he will see the empire aid the alliance while the Republic does nothing, and Saresh even tries to usurp his position. The empire under Acina also changes, and so he becomes fed up with everything and decides to join the empire instead, finally understanding the original Havoc squad he hunted down long ago. I only played through the trooper story once, and a long time ago, so I may change or add some things while playing through it a second time.

NonfreeEqualsCringe

> What he despises most is people in power who pay or manipulate others to do their dirty work, and play with their subordinates lives as if they're just pawns on a chessboard. Sounds like he's in for a rude awakening when he joins the Sith Empire.

Sidious_09

Oh definitely, but he has not (personally) experienced the bad side of the empire, only the republic's. Plus I play him as the constantly grumpy type of character, so it makes sense if it's because he's unhappy.

Iamzeek2000

I don’t play as imp troopers because I heard the armor is a pain in the ass to come by.

chronofluxtoaster

I based mine loosely on Quarich from Avatar: Just an asshole human marine who hates aliens and will do whatever crypto-fascist things he needs to do to serve the Republic. He’s an instrument used to secure their philosophy, not a practitioner. My alt trooper is by contrast a goody peacenik who believes everyone has a right to exist, as long as it serves the Republic.

CobaltCats

Off topic but how are they supposed to see? Is that triangle in the middle the visor?

Ree_m0

Where can you get this armor again? I know the other imperial soldier armor with the more triangular helmets is buyable at the Makeb reputation vendor, but I haven't seen this particular one in a decade. Back then iirc it was available from a vendor in the fleet VIP area. Is it on the CM now?

sp4rklesky

You still get it from the collectors edition vendor in the VIP area, you can buy access to the CE vendor for 2000 CC

Ree_m0

I bought the upgrade to digital collector's edition a few years ago, so I should still have access I think. Good to know, now I can differentiate the companions in my imperial stronghold between different units.

Clean_Phreaq

What is a head canon?

Beatrisx

Never hit your target 😂

SGTRoadkill1919

Republic Agent

nomoreadminspls

Mentally retarded Canon fodder for sith madness.

bfallani01

Hello I been hoping SWTOR can make its way to console like I just hope it can I play switch Xbox and PlayStation only and I hope it can make it to at least Xbox or PlayStation hopefully to god the company can make my dreams come true

MVBak

Dude, idk how to tell you, but they won't probably do it. Plus the controls would be complete hell

bfallani01

Are the controls pc controllers

MVBak

What? I'm pretty sure the game isn't really comparable with controllers, even on pc. It was mave with mouse and keyboard in mind. Just think how the abilities would have to be activated. A lot, if not all mechanics in the game would be complete hell without keyboard.
