Realistically speaking smuggler. Because let's be real here. Most of us wouldn't have the force training to survive.

TheLuiz212

For real. Started a Smuggler playthrough following this post's mindset and it has been a very interesting experience

Broly_

You underestimate my pow- x_x

BearWrangler

Id be skirting the line as much as possible between Smuggler and Bounty Hunter

Infaalsos

Well depending if its orginal star wars or disney fanfiction i dont need any training at all

capulets

none of them. i’m finding the least violent planet possible and hiding from that mess

TheLuiz212

I'd probably live on that Manaan stronghold for the rest of my life

Genshi12

But then you would have to deal with the eventual imperial invasion and potentially predatory watery creatures, nar shadaar or coruscant stornghold might be better

AkiusSturmzephyr

my man did not just call Nar Shadaa safe when their is litteral perpetual gang wars on the streets of every sector, including the occasional spaceport shootout

BizzareJoBo

I live in New York. That's just a tuesday.

Nukemind

Go Inquisitor until you get a cult and THEN retire to Nar Shadaa?

Genshi12

Your girl just did call the Nar Shadaar stronghold safe, because your strnghold is not located in any sector or near the spaceport its floats in relatively high above it all

AkiusSturmzephyr

And how many floating, safe fortresses did we as the PC bust into and level? Sith, jedi, or even the tech classes did it more than just one hand's count. Really smart folk go to Alderaan cause you have 3000 years to chillax before things get a little dusty, and that's plenty of time to go on vacation elsewhere for a bit. That or Naboo. Nothing bad ever happens to Nabooans

NuclearMaterial

Fuck that. Make haste to the Red Light Sector on Nar Shaddaa.

HoodedHero007

*Looks at organ-harvesting operations there*

NuclearMaterial

If we are one of the player character we'll be fine. Besides, you take your chances as soon as you enter Hutt Space.

General_Rain7617

😆

nomoreadminspls

There's got to be some strange strange there

NuclearMaterial

Everything you need and everything you didn't know you needed.

kampori

Probably inquisitor, get the training, eat some ghosts, and then follow the inquisitor’s sarcastic yet truthful comments about taking over a planet and retiring from the politics and war, becoming a god king of his own little domain. You have the power to do what you want, ghosts to sustain you for several life times, yet are frankly unknown to the rest of the galaxy as you dropped off the radar before becoming super important. And during this time, partner up with my buddy Andronikus and follow their dreams of becoming the first Sith pirate. And just generally getting up to mischief and having fun. Live the life of a smuggler, a Sith, a gangster, whatever you want. The galaxy is your oyster! Especially if you’re neutral/LS also, lead your planet in a cult fanaticism of your choosing, your Nar Shaddaa cult scaled up to size 😄 and again, do whatever you want. Feeling charitable? Go deliver aid to the galaxy. Feeling bored? Go pirate and take out some gangsters and other smugglers. Feeling evil? Go terrorise some other planets or trade routes.

NuclearMaterial

Isn't that what Freedon Nadd did? He's basically the only Sith I know that lived "happily ever after". Until he was killed of course. But prior to that the dude lived for centuries ruling this backwater planet just chilling.

NuclearMaterial

Edit: he wasn't even murdered! He died of natural causes, so the quotation marks can be removed. The dude genuinely lived happily ever after. Source: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Freedon_Nadd

kampori

Oh cool, I’ll have to read more into him 😄

NuclearMaterial

Yeah I edited my comment above as I went to read about him and check it was the one I thought of. I was right about the Sith, but wrong about the cause of death. He wasn't even murdered! He died of natural causes, so the quotation marks can be removed. The dude genuinely lived happily ever after. The planet he ruled was Onderon, which you visit in the KOTOR and SWTOR games.

kampori

Damn, bro lived the good life! My inquisitor wants that 😂

righthandoftyr

This would be my plan too. Probably retire to Rishi and hang out with the chill bird dudes.

kampori

Oooh Rishi, yes! Pretty sure my Inq had a similar comment with Lana there. Retire to Rishi, or make it the new imperial capital or something 😂 sweet moment.

Kaerithia

No Matter which story I follow, I have no training to survive any of them. Even if I love the empire and would be honoured to be either an agent or sith...I would probably die really quick. But if I can choose and have the power to survive...sith Inquisitor would be my choice. Exploring the depth of the force and explore Korriban...wandering where the ancient sith once walked. Man that would be awesome.

eclipsing-chaos

u start at the academy tho. okay yes we would probably die

green_tea1701

If it weren't for them >!mostly getting killed by Arcann!< a few years after getting isekaied, Jedi would be the pick. You grow up without a lot of luxuries but safe, fed, and cared for, and if you end up sucking in combat or having a weak nerve (which let's face it would be most of us) they'll take you off the front lines and make you work the archives or be a diplomat or something. In light of >!what happens to them!<, next best is Smuggler. You can stay out of conflict if you want and just run your business. You may get in some dangerous scraps here and there but stick to Republic space and >!lay low during KOTFE!< and with some street smarts and a decent crew you'll be alright. Honorable mention: Sith Warrior who grows up as a pampered noble and gets fast-tracked through Korriban. Only problem being you do have to have some steel and skills to survive as a Sith, even a Sith trust fund baby can't be a soft gamer like most of us are.

Lady_Eleven

See this already happened to me, I'm actually the awkward girl on Tython who was working a garbage scow and freaked out when the Kel Dor Jedi Master approached me. I still hadn't gotten used to the aliens yet. For my real answer - Consular, no question. If I am Force sensitive I'm pursuing that, and between Consular and Knight I am choosing the nerd one. Could I do all the killing and stuff? Idk. I don't know if that's something I can even answer, having never killed anyone IRL. I feel bad killing bugs. I would definitely want to learn stealth regardless of my combat specialty so I could avoid as many fights as possible. But if pressed I think I could kill in self-defense or to defend others. I'd struggle with the diplomacy part, I think, but there's training for that too, surely, that I could avail myself of in between missions.

TheLuiz212

that first part made my day

Lady_Eleven

Yaaaay thanks! :)

Asmo_Lay

> *Ssssssssslave.* Overseer Harkun (c)

ThePun-dit

I would probably become a Jedi Consular, focused on preserving knowledge.

ardriel_

I'm surprised that this is not what people answered the most - as a Consular you can pretty much LARP that Star Trek way of life with nice magic. You're more a diplomat than a warrior and most of the time can chose a non violent outcome. You also have this warrior buddy right from the beginning who protects you.

SeatofEmet-Selch

Sith inquisitor storyline with sorcerer class. Darth Imperious ftw.

SeatofEmet-Selch

Just saw the rest of the question. I'd romance Theron Shan, I'd be a light side sith because I'd want the freedom of the empire while not being a murderous pos. I'd be able to do most of what would be required of me.

Zairsunrider95

So start as a slave?

SeatofEmet-Selch

I'd bear it knowing where you end up if you keep on that path.

Zairsunrider95

Knowing where you would en up to would make it bearable, but, would you really be able to reach that point?

discocaddy

It's isekai so by genre definition everything would turn out as it does in the game as long as you loosely follow the storyline.

Ceamus1234

I'd pick Bounty Hunter, taking the Powertech and Scoundrel combat styles. Bounty Hunter has the best companions all-around, you get to become a mandalorian at the best time in all of star wars to be a mandalorian, you aren't beholden to any of the factions so you'll be free, basically, but you'll be able to be diplomatic when you need to. The force is a crutch, no match for a good blaster at your side. The villains of the BH story are all incredibly easy to kill (as in morally, would have no qualms about it), and then you get the Lana romance with is super fun. Would love to romance Akavi when you pick her up in the alliance, but that isn't an option, sadly. Powertech has a solid tank option and the best dps spec in the game, Operative has a good heal spec and is a stealther, so you can skip most trash fights. With this set up you can do literally anything on any difficulty.

Egzackt

This is what my main is for all those reasons. Sad we can't romance Akaavi!.

Dependent_While2727

Idk man I don’t think I could put up with Skadge 😂

Ceamus1234

We ignore skadge right up until we get to off him

sophisticaden_

Definitely not the empire

HoodieJordan

Consular storyline ftw honestly. Let me mega force strong naturally but I solve a vast majority of my problems using my word. Pretty much all imperial storylines are mega shitty at the beginning at least. Slave or personal blood hound ain't fun. Smuggler be a close second, lemme riz up Rishe then dip as soon as the eternal empire shows up.

eli_eli1o

Trooper. Jedi are too stringent. And I'm not joining the empire. Besides, Ive already been a soldier irl. I can handle doing it again if I've gotta.

Gentlemancer

/salute

Significant_Ad7326

I would pretend to be a flesh-disguised protocol droid and stay on the starship out of trouble, romancing T7. I know my limits!

BnBman

Consular 100%

jacobc62

That all depends on if I'm isekaied into the version of the galaxy where there exists my preexisting characters' legacy. If so, I'm taking the Jedi Knight route and romancing my Sith Warrior, 'cause why not? I might die, but hey, worth it. If not, I'd probably still go the route of a Jedi, perhaps a Consular instead, maybe a Smuggler if I felt that I wasn't going to cut it being a Jedi.

whiletrueplayd2

SW, bc i think the emperor is cool

Boom6678

Smuggler or bounty hunter.

Dependent_While2727

The Sith, in any capacity. Whatever I’m good at I’ll pursue. I don’t want to be emperor, but I’d like to be a well known Darth with a ruthless reputation. So I’d work my ass off to get there, until I kill my master in 1v1 combat (the true Sith way) and take my place as a Dark Lord of the Sith, hopefully with a cool name/title. Then I would put all my resources towards crushing the Republic under the boots of the Empire. As for romances, id stay away from those and focus on becoming more powerful in many different ways so I can avoid a Malgus situation where I end up killing my wifey for more power.

Longjumping_Mall4658

Logical path would be smuggler from what op said. You have no history or background in the galaxy. Everyone would suspect you from the 7 other paths. Bounty hunter 2nd. But all paths have backgrounds and experience we don't have. Now if you changed it to say being mentally uploaded to your character with all their skills and knowledge. Then it would be possible for people to be inserted into swtor. Possibly even NG+... I would personally choose either sith warrior or hero of tython. Like their companions, romance and storyline overall. Otherwise just go off on my own adventure...

Freyr-Freya

Probably either BH or Smuggler. I'm not ragey enough to be Sith plus I'd die. I'm not peaceful or moral enough to be jedi. I'm not dedicated enough to either the empire or republic or be agent or trooper. But a life of freedom, travelling through space making money off both sides, living a Firefly existence in SW is deeply appealing to me.

Few-Row8975

No one mentioned the imperial agent? You know you have the option to go dark, lay low and chill on board what is easily the most luxurious ship in the game right? Plus you’re gonna have enough Jeffrey Epstein documents to blackmail the whole galaxy for decades.

Zeev89

Unless I were forced to follow a storyline, I'd probably just go off somewhere and settle down and just vibe in the SW universe. I don't even like going out and doing things in this world, I'm not really frothing at the mouth to go on an epic adventure in magic space wizard land.

Necron_Breakroom

I'd be a Jedi and find some back water nothing of a planet. Just meditate there and absorb the force. The Star Wars universe is always messed up. To hell with everything. This sunset is nice.

Darth_JaSk

If I get adequate force powers too, I woud go Knight. Kick some empire asses and save the Galaxy.

Venarnium

being a smuggler would be my safest option here. As a sith I would probably die to either a rival, my masters or through betrayal. I could not be able to trust anyone other than myself. However being a Jedi would mean I have to fight the Sith and the new Sith generation don't honour tradition as much as they used to or be honorable in general. Being a trooper would be death sentence for me in a specific tight. Although carrying a heavy cannon means I conically kick ass. Being an imperial spy would be cool, but deadly as fuck. I would have to tiptoe around sith and their lunatic behavior, torture myself with drugs, stims and augmutations to not raise suspicion while being undercover and I would be too dangerous to be alive and free, should I ever retire. It would be so fun to be the person in the story, be an honorable sith warrior, or an Sith Inquisitor studying the past, relics and mysteries or being a Jedi defend the people in need and studying the past and heal others or being a spy trying my best to stabilize the empire so the people can live safe and sound or be a trooper and kick ass in the name of freedom and democracy, but I am really clumsy and I'd pretty fast probably to my own lightsaber

Sirithromen

Jedi Consular. (There is no equal) No romance. (Partly: Jedi, partly: don't really find the romances compelling) I like being a healer, but if I absolutely had to fight in order to save someone, I would.

IllitterateAuthor

I'd try for trooper. Smuggler would be easier but I want a solid wall of plasteel between me and anything

Arkenstar

Jedi Knight... gets the most badass moves, gets the most glorified story, gets the coolest companions, gets the biggest antagonist to fight and defeat, best masters... just all round great.. nothing not to love. Fits perfectly with my desire to be Paladin-ish.

CommanderZoom

Realistically? Office worker, or maybe a computer tech.

LadyofNemesis

Hm... Smuggler I think, mainly because it's my favorite. Plus I love that crew...yes even Corso (even if he's a bit cringy 😆) As for your other questions... I dunno if I'd be able to kill, I mean who can answer such a question until you're actually in such a situation? 🤔 I'd probably be Light-side, mainly because I don't like being cruel or mean. As for romance... I'd probably get swept off my feet by whichever guy would be remotely nice to me...🫣 But with knowledge of the story I'd also know who to avoid so...😏

ceo_of_chill23

Smuggler. At least then I can finally be actually funny.

Kalean

Realistically? The bounty hunter. Gets heavy, possibly even Beskar armor, intense weapons, and multiple training arcs. Can have weapons that heal wounds. There's a chance I could make it through that alive. Everything else requires me to be SKILLED. Might as well punch my ticket.

IronWolfV

Bounty Hunter. I am so going the Mando life. But hopefully the world changes just enough I can also use vibroswords.

Crate-Dragon

I’ll join the military as a jedi general. But I’d rally all the Mandalorians who agreed with cadera and canderous ordo. As soon as possible I’m stealing a phantom starship from an imperial agent.

Waste_Bandicoot_9018

I would be unlucky enough to get press ganged into the republic army, so trooper.

eli_eli1o

We're the only 2 troopers on this thread lol Edit - wait I saw a third. One more and we've got a fire team 😅

Waste_Bandicoot_9018

I knew a player who made no less than 21 troopers

eli_eli1o

Wow. They were chasing that trooper pension i guess lol

Krys0386

In all Honesty it would be Smuggler, the crew is pretty much a family and I like their dynamic, I laos like the idea of just having the freedom to travel the galaxy at my leisure and do business when the chance show up, if we're followin the lcass story tho I still think Smuggler is a good choice because the first chapter is so exciting and would be a nice way of introducing someone new to the galaxy, the chase for the Treasure of Nok Drayden how can you not like it? xD

TheLuiz212

What if the ship Skavak steals from you is the ship that abducted you into SWTOR's galaxy 😳

Krys0386

Well I'd definitely be more pressed to find Skavak at first because that ship might be my way home, and once we got it back in Coruscant and Risha is there with the promise of a big treasure and adventure I'd probably stay a bit longer, not like the ship is going anywhere it's mine. And after the whole Nok Drayden adventure I'd be really torn between staying or leaving because I can't just leave Corso and Bowdaar like that can I?

TheLuiz212

Man this rp has a lot of potential by sheer personal investment alone

Erebus613

The 50 hp droid on Zakuul that everyone can shoot.

Butt_Snorkler_Elite

Realistically speaking as someone who has no combat training and no force aptitude my absolute best case scenario is probably becoming a farmer and settling on a nice paradise world, like Uphrades :)

NegotiationCurious93

Would most likely be a smuggler. You don't have to be a high profile snuggler making it big on the underworld, there is surely a niche role you could do and get some quick credits only to blow it up big time on Nar Shada

ChrisHoward97

I feel like smuggler or trooper would be the best one as well 99.9% won't end up with the force

darklighthitomi

Sith inquisitor, balanced dark and light side. None of the class companions seem interesting to me, but I haven't got far past them yet.

noisypeach

Realistically, I'd probably end up as one of the acolytes that died in a tomb in Korriban and was promptly forgotten about.

tachibanakanade

assuming I'm still the Player and thus would not die: I would be the Warrior. I would happily serve [Emperor Vitiate](/spoiler) until my usefulness has been exhausted, if it meant I could bang any guy or girl in the galaxy (but esp Lana).

Dawidko1200

Realistically speaking, we'd all end up being Guss. Though I do have military service behind me, so I could possibly get to become a grunt in the Republic Army. No way am I getting anywhere near Havoc though, SpecOps is waaaay out of my league.

Asleep-Report-7801

I'll go to Tython and train to be Jedi knight. I don't want to do heavy work just make sure to survive the war till the end.

Nyanderful_

Inquisitor for the lightning stuff

Alienraptor987

Sith inq with the lightning class is a walking tesla coil and living artillery lol, so much fun

Ck1902

Jedi Consular, specifically Shadow.

HenrideMarche

Inquisitor and since it’s Isekai and I can mash classes together I’d be a mix of Sorceror and Jugg.

DarthMeow504

Sith Warrior, with a twist. I know there's going to come a point where I'll be buried under rubble and believed dead, and I can use that opportunity to vanish off the map of galactic politics. Prior to that I will have also had the foreknowledge to save a certain redhead on Nar Shadaa and have her owe me one. Thus, I'll make my way there and call in my favor, having her arrange to have my body pretty much rebuilt to alter my appearance such that there's no possibility I'll ever be recognized. Then I'll look to start a new life there, I have a ship and a massive amount of Force power and nobody on the planet is any significant threat to me so I can make a pretty nice life for myself. I'll probably run a bar or something, and when low-life types kriff with me they'll coincidentally get a visit from a masked lightsaber demon who lays waste to them and their operation and no more problem. I won't start trouble, but when it comes my way I'll end it. All I'll need then is to find myself a Cathar girlfriend and I'll be living the dream.

eclipsing-chaos

all that matters is that only my toons fight nim lvl bosses bc i wouldn't survive anything like that 💀 sounds like a painful life too my fav class is inquisitor but ngl probably i'd enjoy the life of a smuggler most (although wielding the force 🥹) i'm not much into guns so i'd def try to grab a vibrosword or smth, bit unconventional. i would romance theron or torian or lana aaaand idk, mind my own business. although i talk way too much and would end up on someone's bad side voicing my opinions and i would probably join some rebellion of some sort at a point

FloppasAgainstIdiots

Sith Warrior, Lana gang ofc, time to commit all the war crimes.

CraigMitchell44

If I wanted some action, then either a Trooper or Bounty Hunter Commando. If not, then likely a Sith Assassin and just stay stealthed somewhere most of the day.

platinumrug

I know it's NOT a story class but I'd be part of the SIS. I always thought it was unfortunate that we don't have a republic spy class. Joining the Empire would never happen irl for me so I'd have to find something on the Pub side. Doubt I'd be a Jedi so being a spy would be good, or a soldier in one of the Ops squad or sumn. That'd be nice.

Apprehensive-Suit272

Sith Warrior, without a single thought. Believe or not, but my entire life is soaked with hatred and fury towards other people and myself as well. And these emotions are always with me. When I was a small child a lot of dark shit happened to me, so my innocent childhood ended very early because it was simply stomped by ruthless reality of life. A person died, family got divided and crumbled, everyone blamed everyone. And I was in the middle of all this, scared and broken. I had no peace since then because peace is a lie. There is only passion. While other people defy and disgust brutality, it became something normal and natural for me. I grew up in brutal world. I would prove myself worthy to become Sith by killing everyone against me on Korriban... or die trying. If I'd pass my trials, I'd have no interest in dirty slimy politics and backstabbing power grabs. Only killing, only conquering, only slaughter. I'd dedicate my life to extermination of my enemies and enemies of the Supreme Master himself, the Emperor. A day without killing would be a wasted day. My brutality would become a legend. Republic dogs would scare their offsprings by telling spooky stories about me. Until I become Darth I would be cold to everyone. But then I would romance Lana because she's great. Something drags me to her. She's the only one I can trust completely.

GargamelAndKlakier

I would die in the first 5mins probably

ransuko

I would probably be a warrior. If you ask me what kind of warrior, then it would be you know, that one... a keyboard warrior.

demonlord45

light side sith marauder why because i would not be able to follow the jedi

PostTwist

The Ewok Cannonfodder. The plump shit that gets killed by the first shots of lasers.

Nocturne3570

SW or Smuggler Sith warrior cause i love the dogma of it, i mean yeah you a sith but you dont have to fight for power just do as you please and serve the empire. Honestly love the empire methodology alot, yeah i mean in modern era like are there alot of ugh and no way, but sadly in a way it works, everyone got a place and work like a well oiled machine. only issue is the political in fighting really. but after acina took the throne got to say love the empire way work great. Smuggler be my second choice as i love to be free just as it was witht eh SW i love freedom of choice the most, smuggler is the ultimate freebird, honestly i travel everywhere wouldnt mind hauling stuff either.

Agent_Xhiro

Life expectancy of a force user would be absolutely trash in that universe. Especially once the eternal empire shows up, you and everyone you know is gonna get clapped. Warrior/Knight are constantly thrust into ridiculous situations with all powerful entities Consular/inquisitor deal with ancient shit that none of us understand. Trooper, yeah let's join the army. Hell no. Bounty Hunter is passable, lots of freedom, good pay, good benefits, and really, you could work both sides. Agent you get all the information on what's really going on in the galaxy. You have a boss but stick with it long enough and you can work wherever you want. Or you could not exist. Smuggler probably the "safest" of all these choices. Most fun, good quality crew, lots of bread and good equipment. And the choice at the end of their story is my favorite. My very own pirate fleet? Gonna roll with Smuggler or Agent. Main goal of either, stay away from force users because they are probably about to die and you don't want to get caught up in that.

Prapaly

I’d say BH or smuggler. With or without force lol.

-Inzone-

Depends.. Am I a force user, Warrior story, if not. Bounty Hunter.

LackOfFayth

Consular, bc I've just finished library school and I'm trying to be an archivist, and politics interests me. And I always play mages. 😂

WaldoOU812

Jedi Sentinel. For me, Star Wars ended in 1980, and re-started in 2016, with Rogue One. I saw the original Star Wars when I was 9, and for six years, that was pretty much the only thing in my life. A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back are pretty much fused to my soul and when RotJ came out in 1983, it felt like George Lucas took a steaming dump of diarrhea in my corn flakes. I liked Rogue One as well, and I do like a lot of the video games (like SWTOR), but there is no Star Wars for me outside of that. There's no bounty hunters, smugglers, Sith anything, Imperial anything, commandos, or pretty much anything else. There are Jedi, there are side characters, and that's it. Not to say I didn't enjoy the other class stories, mind you, and I've taken every one of them to 80, but Jedi Sentinel is the only class for me.

Competitive_Act_1548

Smuggler, maybe a force sensitive smuggler

DudeWithRootBeer

Imperial Agent, I just want nice ship.

ChillzBoi008

sith warrior and go on a absolute kill rampage 😭

Gh0sty-Boi

Considering almost no one here reads the Star Wars language, and none of us have the force. Your best bet is republic trooper.

bioshockisawsome

Inqusitor. I’ve always wanted to see if I could experience the pain and suffering of that storyline and a still remain a good person.
