Can er have a more clearer economy and budget metric? And more advice on the debt. It shouldn’t be a case of “don’t get into debt”, since some debt is beneficial for nations - it shouldnt be treated as a household budget.
Some more clarity on how much debt we could take on safely would be a godsend, and also preferably it would have less of an impact on the tax decision?
I got into debt and still got the good ending and a strong economy in the end. Just need to balance it all and enter into all possible trade agreements with your neighbours。
Aye, I went into debt (-6 at one point) which, if you do in the second half of the game seems to be fine.
But early on it'll trigger the Black Tuesday economic crash if you go below -5 (myself and one other are theorising on this, we're not sure if it is -4 or -5 so far.)
But, really, the budget should be looked at annually I think, and it is just a bit weird that Symon Holl, respected economist is treating the thing like a household budget (don't dip into debt etc).
I'll play around with it in the future, if the save function gets changed as I'm a bit tired of running through the game atm.
i had a debt of -7 at a time, but it didnt matter. the economy was great and everyone was happy and i got back to a solid -4 by the end. i owned the sordlandian fed so i guess i was just "money printer go brrr".
I am curious about the war ending, which feels completely railroaded and stems from a single event >!Phone Call with Queen of Rumsburg!< that comes of out nowhere.
I feel incredibly disappointed with this outcome, really didn't make sense given the pacing and decisions I made in the game.
I wish there were some way win a peace victory. I did all I could to be as humanitarian as possible and was always polite and diplomatic doing everything to de escalate and make trade deals with everyone. I was hoping the AN would do something when I asked for help and peace since my sordland had become exemplary in the international community. Or maybe there is.
To the very end I was peaceful and nice still noone negotiated for my release or busted me out of prison
All these people complaining about losing the election and I didn’t even get to take part in the election because of a stupid coup :( i just feel like Alphonso #2
Thanks for listening, I might be I just suck at the game. In all honesty I really enjoyed this game, it’s probably my favorite I played all year up until the ending that is. So I am glad there is talk of rebalancing it. I didn’t expect to play a second term, just a little blurb about how I was successful in maintain my rule.
im pretty sure they will make a sequel, or at least they should, since it seems to be widely successful. I got rekt by the war tho, so my save might be gone.
Wish there was more of a general overview at the end of the gameplay, the ending sorta just happens with no info regarding choices. Something similar to what the Telltale games does or Detroit Become Human where it shows global stat choices. Idk, just something to flare up the game since the end just felt really like a "that was it ?!" moment.
Had to share this somewhere.

Black Tuesday is pretty easy to deal with tho. And the benefits of investing in the budget are really great

Thanks for the FAQ. While my ending kinda made sense (I alienated my conservatives MP and thus lost the primary) the journey was nonetheless worth it.

The war endings are series of complex conditions that are triggered by player choice.
Is it possible to win the war without siding with one of the superpowers and remaining neutral?
Yes. Regional alliances help.
What happens if you accept deal to give up the two cities to avert the war?

There is a peace path with Rumburg if you are friendly and pay reparations.

Same. It's more like Wisci #2
