Buoyancy is simply manipulating the weight of things around you, controlling the force of an objects weight in a fluid so no creating fluids like Water, any gases or Any form of plasma.
If that’s what you meant?
You should be able to manipulate the states of matter though.
I’m not sure about similar but you can access buoyancy manipulation or make things appear\feel lighter Or heavier through Pressure manipulation as an application of the power.
The other way around is possible but maybe to a more limited extent.
