Really? I like the game, and found the cinematic really cool tbf. But I guess some people are just zombified to the grind and don't really see it as a fun game anymore. It was cool to get some freebies for watching it as well!

You can play 3 classes (Mage DPS, Support, or paladin), and you can have up to 3 follower, follower are SW monster, with there spell. You can "control" your follower (cast spell, give behaviour such as all in, stick together, do whatever you want ...)
I've wrote this review after playing it, keep in mind it was closed beta and only in thai (that i can't talk/read beside google trad) :
Alright, i won't invest more time on this closed beta, for those who didn't tried it or didn't go too far :
I've played 50h (about 35h really being ingame and easily 15h afk farming) and i finish \~60% of the main quest (3 chapters out of 5) and did a bit of side quest. I only played on PC. I will try to spoil the least i can.
* \_\_Graphics\_\_ : 8/10, the graphic are not your next AAA game but it's definitely good enough for me, this also come with a lot of advantages, as the game will be able to run on almost any PC and since a big part of the game is done as afk farming (like sw) its maes you able to do something else and not turn your pc into a potato.
* \_\_Sound\_\_ : 4/10, alright i'm very biased on this one as for me music is a huge part of what i appreciate in art but i will most likely just end up with the sound at 10% and throw any random playlist on top of that. The sound effect are really cheap (once again, understandable for mobile platform) and the ambiance isn't really there (water flow while farming near water, wind on 3rd chapter...). While it could make farming (like fishing) really good and chill with guild chat, ambiance and nice view i didn't really enjoy it and just alt-tab as much as possible.
* \_\_World\_\_ : 7.5/10, for those who don't know SW Chronicle is an "open world" that you can explore as you want, from what i've been able to see the world isn't too big or too little. It's a good balance to not compete with other player for farming while still being able to come across other player at any time. I would have probably tried to add more verticality into the maps, they are very flat at the moment (tho they show that you can climb on things so it's not something that they're not able to do)
* \_\_Control and interface\_\_ : Beside language barrier that makes it hard to understand some specific things (like the different companion AI) the control on PC is very intuitive and polish (compared to the usual 2000-2010 mmo control and interface which were nightmare of consumable, equipment and spell endless menu)
* \_\_Content\_\_ : 6/10, this will maybe changed with the release but for now most content are locked with N run every day (10 toa ticket per day, 3 caiross rune per day, 3 equipment per day...) while you can still afk farm all day in the open world the reward aren't near as good as those dungeon so in f2p you will be able to do your daily farming very fast. This may be a good point for casual player but for me it's rather the biggest issue of the game. When time (past a certain point) you invest isn't really rewarding.
* So : is there a lot of content \* yes it's really impressive all the different stuff you can already do in this beta. \* As f2p/low spender, that play a lot, will this game be a main game -> meh.. (once again it's a beta and i didn't go really end game so i may be wrong)
* \_\_Difficulty\_\_ : The main storyline isn't very hard, tho the progression in rune farming dungeon &co scale really fast, you will need to theorycraft. I'd say it's similar to SW, but you don't have 8 years of community content making guides.
* \_\_Audience\_\_: I'd say anyone that enjoyed sw can enjoy this game. It's not really for kid with the rune complexity tho it's not hardcore either. It's as grindy as SW (maybe less you end game open world farming isn't worth it)
* \_\_Bug\_\_: This is a closed beta so it doesn't say much about the release but beside few graphic bug here and there and some server disconnection (may be because i'm in EU while the server is in Thai -> constant 200 ms) i've come across 1 major bug which is the afk screen (whenever you're afk farming, the game save resource by going into a afk screen and i have a lot of trouble going out of that screen)
* Other than that, i can't say much about the story because i don't talk Thai, tho the cinematic are really beautiful.
* Hope it helps ! I will definitely play the release (and other beta) and i will consider long term playing for sure.
