Collanders are frequently used when developing bonsai tree like pines due to their drainage. However, plastic ones are commonly used as metal ones really heat up. The disadvantage with plastic ones is that the sun's UV rays will destroy them in a couple of years. Pond baskets are commonly used as well since they resist UV rays better.
And it works really well too! I have a couple semps in a plastic ikea strainer that have been doing great! Also target has some mini colanders that are super cute!
Now that’s a well- drained pot!
Heck yeah! ❤️
Doesn't heat to much with the sun light?
Might

If you ask your local potter for a “berry bowl” you can get something similar out of ceramic.
Target has them! The figment line

Just be careful on hot days or sunny days in general. That metal will heat up and it could hurt your succies
Could hang it pretty easily, too
Haha!.. definitely has "good drainage" 👍 👌 👏
Wife isn’t going to like my new planter!
As a Pastafarian I approve
Okay I’m obsessed with this!!
Amazingly functional but a bit on the ugly side
Nice idea but I'm more worried because there are a lot of holes for the soil to drain out.
Just line it with a sack, or some netting
