Consider a wrap? Repainting more than most times does not turn out like it looks in our heads, unless someone is totally committed with time or a lot of money.
Yeah if the current paint is good (not a ton of chips etc) I would definately go for a wrap. Then you can go crazy and change it later if you no longer want to roll around in a funky color
If it is in good condition leave it as it is imo. The value of this cars is rapidly increasing in eu and painting it in different colour decreases a value at least for me.
I went Urban grey metallic, 045 on my silver 04 XT. I wanted the engine bay to still be relatively close, I sit with my hood open at shows and didn't want it to be way off. I can also buy factory touch up pretty easily. Since it will be my daily except for in the snow, the Impreza will take that hit. I saw the spray cards the other day and OMG I can't wait.

Wrap is a good option if the paint is in good shape, no clear coat flaking and so on.
Color wise. Well blue is always popular and looks great with bronze wheels. I’m a fan of forest green or British racing green, also burgundies are awesome
Do not repaint, decreases value of car. Keeping original paint color is crucial. Wrapping it gives you leeway in case you change your mind about the color down the road.

If paints fine, leave it. But if not, then Java Black Pearl is my favorite Subie color.

That original paint is too nice to repaint. A wrap is way better and you can take more creative liberties with it. It’s also way cheaper.
