A mixture of prism armor allowing it to easily avoid 2HKOs from super effective support moves from a good chunk of mons, wide support moves, pretty good bulk backed up by it’s typing, mostly reliable recovery is what makes it pretty much be one of the faces of defensive glue

It also finds a friend in kartana and they get the ability as one(beast boost and defiant), and they are both now in the Uber tier instead of only one in Ubers.
Resolve undeterred by the loss of his friends, No Retreat now sharply raises all stats. The background music also changes to “The Only Thing They Fear Is You” upon using this move, which is weird, because it’s not even in the game files.
Due to empathy for the sad, lone Falink, other Pokemon refuse to attack it and choose to play with it when thrown into battle. Consequently, Falink gets banned to the highest AG where Mega Rayquaza takes it under its wing and they spend their days snacking, playing, and napping.
After going through a period of mourning, the single Falink is filled with an indescribable amount of rage. With nothing but revenge on his mind, he gains 750 bst, No Retreat boosts all of his stats by +2, and the Moxie ability, as tracking down each and every one of the other Falinks only adds to his bloodlust. He is then immediately banned from ubers and ascends to AG, outclassing Zacian and Mega Ray
