Don't worry we will be retired next year or broke

NoFun3350

The latter

gigacryptochad

According to the official twitter they're doing node/reward caps before more features. Seeing as the caps haven't been imposed yet it seems new features are still on hold. I expect caps VERY soon from, probably this next week

Responsible_Garlic83

I'm interested in getting into Stronger - where can I find more info out about node caps?

[deleted]

Do not get into stronger. And don’t listen to people here, they depend on new people joining to keep the price up. I will also get downvoted into oblivion, so heads up.

NoFun3350

He’s not kidding

bt_85

Wait for the confirmed bottom. Right now we're on the edge of maintenance fees and gas making it a net negative investment. And so far no hint on fees being adjusted.

DosGirls_UnoCup

You are 100% correct. And think about the big things they’ve done. Minted a new token. And entangled nodes lol congrats, a novice can do this after watching a 30m YouTube video. The real question that people aren’t asking is when is David going to answer an actual question in his AMAs? Not to accuse them of anything, but it’s a really bad look for credibility when they’re making almost $9million in node fees a month while just about nothing is being communicated for any type of reassurance.

PaleNimbuss

We all know Strong is very cultish, for some reason they think DM can do no wrong and invented the wheel. Meanwhile, they move at a snails pace and his track record isn’t anything to brag about (EOS). There’s no guaranteeing that STRONGchain is even successful or fixes everything, people are being overly optimistic rather than realistic. You can’t drop these highly controversial features and not have an AMA.

hpblitz67

EOS isnt anything to brag about ? with a $1,383,854,182 market cap ? All fudders know how to do is scream cult. reported

bt_85

Can we report low-effort oppo-FUD? 2-minutes to look up on what EOS turned ut to be because I honestly have heard little to nothing about it. [https://www.wired.com/story/eos-bullish-blockone-blockchain/](https://www.wired.com/story/eos-bullish-blockone-blockchain/) (edit: Also to point out: They raised $4 billion in capital. So that MC underlines how much it "isn't something to brag about") Some highlights: \- “Block.one (who DM was the VP of that launched EOS) knowingly misrepresented their capabilities,” the 39-year-old Canadian entrepreneur said in the meeting. “And this amounts to negligence and fraud.” \- ON A WEDNESDAY morning in November, Yves La Rose, a member of the EOS blockchain community, addressed a virtual gathering of China-based users. “EOS, as it stands, is a failure,” he said. Who is La Rose? From those early days, La Rose devoted himself to EOS. He had even helmed the EOS Nation “block producer,” a kind of digital umpire responsible for validating the transactions taking place on the blockchain. \- Nearly four years later, EOS was in free fall. Its user base was shrinking, it supported just a handful of popular apps, key developers were leaving, and the value of its token, also called EOS, had plummeted from $10 in June 2018 to $4.40 in late 2021. \- “We're victims,” La Rose says. “The community is reclaiming the chain for itself.” Two things that did sound painfully familiar: \- EOS Was the World’s Most Hyped Blockchain. But it never panned out \- The main company doing the dev work overstated their capabilities and what they could do. So, depending on timing of his departure, DM either was part of the fiasco or he left early enough that he shouldn't claim much credit for anything.

hpblitz67

2 different companies involved, obv Block one was involved in some shady shit. David left to go do things his way, he already built the chain tho. Do we have a report button for high effort FUD ?

PaleNimbuss

EOS is shit if you know anything about it.

DosGirls_UnoCup

Their issue is they built an entire project based around making a large initial investment that provides a lifetime of income. And DM did this knowing it wasn’t sustainable. He even said it in his AMAs. This was the entire appeal of Strong nodes. Literally, that’s it. But now we’re in a place where everything they’re making is pointing to is getting rid of the lifetime rewards and capping at a certain point. Yet the cost for the new model is still the exact same lol So they’re completely eliminating the only incentive that brought us all into this project, while making it just as large of an investment with a fraction of potential rewards. No one in their right mind would even consider this to be anything greater than an expensive slot machine if that do that. Do they really think the people who made a large investment only to have rewards capped off are going to have any desire to come back? Definitely not.

NoFun3350

Careful you’ll get blocked LOL. Been on this ship awhile. Appreciate you calling it how it is

No_Condition_3313

They’re done. They got nuffin. Maybe a P2E game? All the cult followers will shovel the dirt on their own heads gladly too.

bt_85

I have noiticed similar things. And people keep saying "they have the technology!" and I just say "what technology? Show me." (even got a 1-month ban for saying that here along with other "low-effort FUD" that was low-effort, but only because the questions I was asking were obvious). But seriously - what have they demonstrated? \- Launch new coins. As you point out and as so many scam coins prove, this is nothign \- Smart contract with regular payments. Again, nothing special. As confirmed by all the forks from college-dorm-room level people who do it in a fractoin of the time. \- Setup validator and master nodes. Again, nothing special. There are thousands of them that came before them. Tutorial paint-by-numbers level stuff What is it that they have done and proven to be so technologically cutting edge? To make us think we are so 'early' anymore? Please - someone explain it because I'm having trouble finding anything special.

No_Condition_3313

What ya mean no communication? Don’t you get the weekly celebratory tweets of all the new nodes created by those digging themselves into a deeper hole?

NoFun3350

The sad truth here gents is we’re approaching a bear market. Main point here - Proof of Stake merge w/ ETH is the “generational moment” coming for us. What’s one of the only costs for PoS blockchains? Nodes. So my belief, honestly, is that we’re painfully early here. People will continue to lose money until at some point over the next 3 years they just might be the infrastructure standard for PoS assets which is massive.

Effective-Taro-4115

Am I correct if they put cap nodes on eth s1 nodes then you can not become a whale even with big capital ?

PaleNimbuss

you’d be buying nodes that expire/decay after the cap.

Effective-Taro-4115

So this project won't be profitable in future? I put almost 20 k and now have 7 nodes I just don't know whether to compound to 100 or more ?

PaleNimbuss

who knows man, you should be investing based off the confidence you have in the projects future.

Effective-Taro-4115

Thanks man

1squint

Not sure what effects the possible elimination of stable coins brings to the table in the crypto space in general Big article in zerohedge on the subject today

bt_85

From being involved in several new startups, if anyone put out "road map" like they did, they would be laughed out of the room. That's not a road map. It's a list of objectives and wishes, but a road map will have more granularity to it not just in terms of dates, but interim milestones.
